    They wasn't degrading Gatti when he couldn't hurt Carlos. They made the comments that Gatti wasn't big or strong enough. Mayweather was natrually smaller than Gatti. So how was he suppose to KO Carlos.

    Why pacquiao was given too much credit for fighting bigger guys by critics and experts despite only Margarito and Horn are the opponents who outweigh him by 10 pounds or more, but Mayweather whose fighting boxers who outweigh him by 10 pounds or more is a norm critics and experts act like he was fighting his same size? Double standards really exist in boxing.

    Throughout this fight and especially in rounds 10-12 they were making fun of Mayweather because he calls himself the Best and they were laughing about him being Great. They were saying that there will never be another Robinson, well rightfully so, BUT I don't know why people always try to compare Floyd to other fighters..Because Floyd created his OWN lane and therefore, There will also Never be another "Pretty Boy" FLOYD "Money" MAYWEATHER. #TMT #TBE #FMM

    • @oldironsides4107
      @oldironsides4107 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Floyd beat more champions? Well yeah they’re used to be 8 across all divisions not 8in a division.
      Fluids great no doubt. Inhavent watched this fight on some years.
      But just look at raynleonard. Hearns Duran hagler ball top guys in the sport and fought e at another in each others prime many times over.
      Any of those guys would murder baldomiR
      That’s not a knock on Floyd. He’s an all time great. I can’t rate ray Robinson as there’s not enough footage to his alleged prime and I can’t take someone word for it.
      But the 4 kinds in the 80s Floyd would be an underdog to all of them
      Imagine Leonard and hearns or any combination. Not fighting until age 36
      Floyd navigated a path of fighting some names at the tail end of there career. Floyd’s early career. Before 99% of people saying how Floyd is the best ever his best portion of his career and fighting the top guys on there prime was long before delahoya.
      This is a squash match and baldomir is a champion. Which speaks volumes on state of the class at the time.
      He fought Mosley after he slid and upset margarita cotto after 2 life altering beating t from margarito and paquaio.
      Judah was shot. Gatti shot. Delahoya never won a fight after.
      Roberto Guerrero? Marquez was a catchwrifgt of Juan moving up from 135. To a catcher if he or 142 instead of ww 147. Floyd didn’t bother making wright and came in 4 lbs iver against a guy that doesn’t even fight at the weight class below.
      Canelo fought under 154 at the age of 16. That match catcherifgt of 152.
      Draining him. A great win vut canelo was a shell of his current self.
      Berto? Washed. Mgregor? Never boxed before.
      Floyd is a goat. He navigated his path in an era of social media of people who just see something and believe how great what they see with no perspective on the sport.
      Paquaio that fig should have happened many many years before that.
      That’s why we’re seeing this bullshit tank Davis not fighting anybody or Ryan Garcia. Or Shamir Stevenson. Errol Spence won’t fig but Crawford. Until he’s 36-37.
      Virgil Ortiz can’t get a name. Or Jared Ennis.
      It’s not about fighting the best. It’s about a name. Or snagging a title let matchup.
      Teofimo Lopez. Going for it. Same with lomachenko. Uysk who has the greatest cruiserwrifgt resume ever better than Holyfield’s and snagged up the hw title.
      It’s all about the zero. Not who your fighting.
      Of course Floyd beat now champions. There are 6 r ex ignited ones let alone the silver and gold versions of the wbc. WBA ibf. Who. Ring magazine.
      Just like Eric get classes there’s about triple from every 30 years ago let alone going back.
      Those numbers sound nice but mean nothing

      @@oldironsides4107 your comment reeks of stupidity and ignorance. Mosley ducked floyd for a toothache.
      Canelo offered floyd he will fight him at that catchweight and rehydrated to ridiculous levels. Shell of his current self, that was canelo in his prime. He just got beat tf up again by bivol.
      Canelo avoided all the top fighters from 160-175 making stupid excuses. This is the same guy who would impose a rehydration clause on jacobs and then fight kovalev in 175.
      Errol offered crawford 60/40 split and bud avoided it and demanded a purse he didn't deserved. Bud could've been his mandatory when he moved up to 147 but decided to go to horn. He didn't even attempted to unify with Shawn and ugas when they have their belts and insisted on fighting washed up fighters.
      Teofimo and lomastankhoe ducked Devin haney for franchise belts.
      Usyk fought on a weak division which is laughable compared to what jermell charlo had accomplished and evander.
      Nice try, clown.

    • @oldironsides4107
      @oldironsides4107 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s not even true.
      For many decades reporter and commentators were honest with what you’re seeing.
      Merchant was always high on Floyd from genaro Hernandez to manfredy to corrales on and on and on.
      Hbo especially we’re honest. They wouldn’t pretend every fight is the greatest fight you could dream of.
      Honesty is a bitch. Floyd is one of the best to ever do it. Give me
      A critique with a source that was unfair from merchant. I’ll give you perspective on why that would have been a critique.
      Manny steward. Just said this is Floyd’s first real test which is absolutely dishonest. Fought much better fighters even before
      Floyd was making money. Shot genaro Hernandez is twice the fighter baldomir was and Floyd beat him within a couple years of turning pro.
      Merchant was honest and blunt. As great as manny steward was to boxing that’s just one example of being dishonest
      While typing this on my phone
      Floyd is an absolute legend. Especially at 130. If Floyd was in the 80s at ww he would have had to fight hearns ray Leonard Duran and 154 hagler. All of those guys fought each other multiple times in each other’s primes.
      Would be interesting how Floyd would navigate a path like that

      @oldironsides4107 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How do you think Floyd would fair against Duran rsybleonard hearns and hagler. All of those guys have much greater resumes and fought each other multiple times.
      I’m there day there was t 8 belts for a division it was basically 2 and 3.
      Now those 3 all have gold and silver versions. Ring magazine belt. Who. Etc etc etc.
      Not losing doesn’t mean much. Those guys fought anmirderers row. And Floyd would be an underdog against just those 4.
      Bame any opponent Floyd fought that would even be competetive against those guys?
      I love Floyd inlove his style. Pernell Whitaker is one of my all time favorites.
      I guess I’ve followed the sport for so long that you’re era who and when you’re fighting these guys matters.
      Baldomir gatti. All of floydsnvest wins would be killed by those guys.
      It’s no coincidence that all of those 4 guys from the same era are some of the greatest of all time.
      And you’re amazed by Floyd beating up a slow plodding fighter in baldomir.
      147 isn’t Floyd’s wright. 130 and 135 would be his optimal weight which he skipped to get that de la Hoya money. And his star took
      Off Floyd’s best work was before he was a star fughting giys at the top of there game.
      Still an all time great
      Marciano 49-0. Calzaghe undefeated. Julio Cesar Chavez won 90 on a row. If they quit boxing would they be better than Floyd because they won more in a row. Larry Holmes almost won 50 in a row. He fought too giys into his 40s including young tyson
      Carlos monzon won 60 in a row.
      You’re putting way too much emphasis on a 0
      Castillo in fairnesss should have won the first fight. If Thenjudges gave Castillo the nod then all the sudden Floyd wouldn’t be undefeated and the best ever?
      Shit Lennox whooped Holyfield’s ass and it was a draw the first fight. In by no universe in the boxing world would a historian say a win is a win and they fought equally. And a draw was the right call.
      Basically watch more fights brither.
      If you’re wondering why hagler hearns Leonard Duran would be ranked higher than Floyd. And especially at this stage
      Of Floyd’s career it would get a ridiculous comparison.

    Floyd moved way more the he needed to in this fight Baldomir only had 13 KO’s in 43 fights so he ain’t that big of a puncher. Floyd should have beat him like he did gotti.

      Agree. I think he got over cautious in this fight with the size of Baldomir. There were certain points in the fight were he was kinda getting in to it and then holds back again.

  • @MadDogGIO
    @MadDogGIO ปีที่แล้ว

    Nah the commentators are right on the money. This was a packed house with lots of famous people in attendance and excitement before the fight, click on any point of the video and there’s dead silence. At the end of the fight, there were only boos. The commentators are just pointing out facts. Boxing is entertainment first and foremost, period. It’s not about sucking up to another grown man, and hoping they make the most money and run away enough to not get touched. It’s supposed to be entertaining for the people paying the pay per view.

    • @MadDogGIO
      @MadDogGIO ปีที่แล้ว

      And by the way, Merchant always asks personal questions and tough questions of boxers…things some fans were thinking at the time. And Floyd is a huge baby. He fought against his dad and with that attitude probably fights and argued with anyone. He’s full of himself and never was good entertainment…as good as he was, he will never be the best ever. And life will teach him his lessons. He’s just a glorified Olympic fighter trying to score points…we need real boxing back, with emotion and heart…not business.

    At 13:28 There were quite a few of Floyd’s fights where Emmanuel Stewart would describe as Floyd’s “toughest test”. Then Floyd proceeded to destroy that opponent. lol

    • @oldironsides4107
      @oldironsides4107 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is ridiculous to say this is Floyd’s toughest test.
      Baldomir was a journeyman who beat nobody or not except gatti who wasn’t a ww and Judah on the end of his career when he was hot or cold an md you never knew what you were going to get. Fucking sharmba Mitchell and angel manfredy were bigger tests let alone corrales and Castillo and genaro Hernandez for Floyd’s first world title.
      Manny was trying to garner interest for the viewer merchant is just honest so he gets hate. And manny changes his tune when the fight actually starts.

      It’s not crazy Floyd is better everywhere and is just throwing a shot here and there.
      It’s a clear win but lackluster. That’s the beauty of boxing announcers. They’re not going to fool you into seeing something exciting it’s a great performance. Not a great fight to watch.
      Your opponent is outgunned and you’re throwing 30 punches a round. One at a time.
      Floyd is fortunate Oscar was still around and the most popular boxer in that era

      He says he doesn’t use the jab like a traditional boxer does. He isn’t saying Floyd is not a boxer. He is saying Floyd doesn’t fight like a strict boxer, he throws more straight right leads and leaping left hooks than a strict straight jab, jab, right hand boxer like Lenox Lewis or Klitcho

    • @TylerHingleton
      @TylerHingleton วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@itsnotme3882 That's what makes him a special kind of talent. He's one of the very few throughout history, who never had to consistently rely on the jab, mostly due to his great reflexes regarding hand and foot speed alone. Them feints he used to either set up the lead left hook, straight right, or pull counter, while either slipping, rolling, or blocking/parrying punches were a thing of beauty
