I was a teenager in the '70's, and it was absolutely the best time to be around! We weren't stuck on genres,we just loved the music. This song was popular when I was 16, and I can't think of a single person back then who didn't like it.

So true! I was in elementary school in the 1970's, and this fluid musical genre phenomenon also carried over into the 80's and 90's. I remember hearing this song on the radio and I loved it even as a little kid. I almost always got to stay up late with my older siblings to watch The Midnight Special and I saw so many cool bands on that show.

This is the stuff I grew up on. Firefall, Player, Triumph, all the singer/songwriters, CSN. Songs that told a story, played by real musicians with talent. No auto-tune, just people laying their hearts out there for all to see.
Multi-track recording started in the 50's. Les Paul was the innovator who created not only that, but also came up with reverb. Plus he made a pretty good electric guitar.

Gosh, I love these new kids listening. My mom refused us the living room for years. We were all musical, and she couldnt tolerate the noise. We got the barn, (no animals in there, they were safely penned outside). Finally, dad gave in. He bought us a pool table, and a big clunky stereo. I'm not sure if you would have ever seen one. A turn table on top, double cassete player underneath, a stereo/radio under that, speakers on the bottom. We sat in the floor, around the stereo, and listened with intent, what we thought we could learn to play. Who had the voice to sing it? Then, out to the barn, to recreate what we learned. A lot of heartache and fear, but, it was a majical time.

This Time I'm In It For Love was their other big hit from the same album. It's a beautiful song, too. Incidentally, they were on RSO records, which was the same label as The Bee Gees were on. This is from late 1977 and I was 11 at the time this came out. It's like I heard it for the first time again.

I miss the 70s and 80s so much. How I wish I could get a do over. ❤ With videos, we're all forever young and get to go back and revisit from time to time....The guy in red is Ron Ross. He became an actor and played Ridge on the soap opera, The Bold & The Beautiful.

70s and 80s loved growing up in these decades music will never be the same. I love when the younger generations start hearing these songs...all of a sudden I'm not an old woman anymore to them. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm 53 and my nephew is 18 and he started hearing some of the songs and now they are on his play list. 🥰🥰🥰

One of my favorite classic rock jams. Brings back good memories growing up in Lubbock Texas. And they paid tribute to this song in Black Adam.

Classic 70's man what memories. It's where I developed my love of music. This is before all the electronics and vocal manipulation like they use today. All real harmonies and vocals. Best musicians and set the standard by all that followed. Check out some of the other 70's acts. Look up the Midnight Special with Wolfman Jack. They had all the top musicians on.
