    Thank you, Collin: Without any doubts, this interview of the Manning Brothers is some of your best work. Your interview acumen during this interview is second to none. Peyton is HoF bound. Eli got lucky a few times and had an average career.

    • @tomknapp6194
      @tomknapp6194 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Suleyman_Sports A person doesn't get lucky twice? What if I told you that in 2007 against Romo, Favre, Brady, and then again in 2011 at least against Rodgers and Brady (again), Eli went up against all star QBs that were having one of their worst games of the year. And then Eli still needed a highly unlikely play to pull off the win. If even one of those QBs shows up being average, it isn't close. For example, in 2007, Romo led the Cowboys to 45 and 32 points in the regular season and then they only scored 17 in the post season. What would you call that and how much of a factor was Eli in that?

    • @tomknapp6194
      @tomknapp6194 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Romo should be a first round Hall of Famer and Eli should never be in it. For the people that think I’m nuts, let’s play a little game of “Guess Which One Is Romo”. I’m going to take the stats from Romo and Eli along with Hall of Fame locks like Brady, Brees, Roethlisberger, and Peyton (the only Manning QB) only I’m not going to put their names next to them. It should be easy to pick out Romo from this elite group.
      The columns are completion percentage, yards/attempt, TD %, Int % (This was done in about 2018)
      A 65.3 - 7.7 - 5.7 - 2.7
      B 67.1 - 7.6 - 5.3 - 2.4
      C 64.2 - 7.9 - 5.1 - 2.7
      D 65.3 - 7.9 - 5.7 - 2.7
      E 60.0 - 7.0 - 4.6 - 3.1
      F 63.9 - 7.5 - 5.5 - 1.8
      So, which one is Romo? This should pretty much be a no brainer. Look at E. Dead last in every category by far. Except E isn’t Romo, it’s Eli. Romo is D, tied for the best in two categories against players considered to be legends. He may not have won “the big one”, but when he’s putting up the same numbers as guys who have won it, is it really all Romo’s fault? Is it his fault at all? Romo belongs in the HoF, first ballot.
      Bit, it isn’t all so bad for Eli. Let’s put him in a group with Ryan Tannehill and Baker Mayfield. And Eli……. Still comes in dead last in every category. Is this starting to sink in yet. Romo had the same stats as HoF locks and Eli has the same stats as guys barely hanging onto their jobs.
      Just in case you are wonder who the other players are.
      Peyt 65.3 - 7.7 - 5.7 - 2.7
      Brees 67.1 - 7.6 - 5.3 - 2.4
      Roet 64.2 - 7.9 - 5.1 - 2.7
      Rom 65.3 - 7.9 - 5.7 - 2.7
      Eli M 60.0 - 7.0 - 4.6 - 3.1
      Brady 63.9 - 7.5 - 5.5 - 1.8

    • @JWTiny
      @JWTiny 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tomknapp6194 using your logic Matt Stafford should be in the HofF while still playing. Smh. You can spin numbers all you want, you need the wins. The big games. You cant take those from Eli saying “it was the team”. He gets those just as a Matt Stafford doesn’t. Romo over Eli? Maybe. You cant separate a player by just stats and say that makes them a shoe-in for the hof. Its about fit and finish. Its not all stat and superbowls. Its looking at intangibles AS WELL. All the little thing. For example. Barry Sanders. Not even playoff victories on all those records, yet arguably the best to play the game.

    • @tomknapp6194
      @tomknapp6194 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JWTiny @J. W Tiny You said it, not me. Stafford will probably surpass Eli in yards and TDs just as Matt Ryan will this year with hundreds of fewer attempts than Eli. Just as Rodgers has about 60 more TDs than Eli with about 1,500 fewer attempts. See where this is going? Eli has a lot of stats because he played nonstop for 16 year with average/below average results. But, they will still pile up as they did in his case. It doesn't mean he's great or even good.

      @@rabidlenny7221 there was a huge decline, whether it was Eli, or the line. The season was shot, so why not bench him to see what they had?
      I think it would have been more impactful to pull him in a first quarter situation than ending his streak. But Geno fucking Smith?!?!? That is where they lost me.

    My first memory of Eli is that 7 overtime game in 2001 against Arkansas... I was in college as well. That game was crazy. They lost but he threw 6 TD's and 0 interceptions and over 300yds. He was only a sophomore and I remember all of us thinking... this guy is gonna be better than his brother. Hahaha. He was a beast that season.

    I love Peyton, I maybe had a chance to play golf with him and didnt, Then I passed him on a escalator right when he came to Indy, then he sat in front of me at the IU Ohio state game. I feel like he was the best ever at putting the ball where only 1 guy could catch it. The best part of football to me is right in the line hearing the players and the NFL never gets in there close. I'm so excited to see these guys watch football and give us a closer glimpse of what's going on.

      He probably will but he shouldn’t. He’s gonna get in just cause his last name is Manning. Im not trying to diss Eli or hate on him at all. He had some amazing moments and he was clutch as hell at times especially in his two SuperBowl wins. But you cant point to a single season while he played that he was the best QB in the league. He finished his career with the same amount of losses as he had wins. Its “the hall of fame” not “the hall of very good at times”
