Even as a Chiefs fan, I love Joe Burrow so much. Yes he's broken our hearts, but he's just such an unbelievably talented and cerebral player that it's impossible to hate him. But the Bengals are clearly failing him by delaying paying Ja'Marr Chase. This is their best chance to build another long term elite quarterback-receiver duo on the level of Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison that can absolutely win Cincinnati a championship, and they are squandering the opportunity. If they keep waiting to pay Chase, then they'll likely not only lose Tee Higgins but also Trey Hendrickson, and because of how poorly the Bengals have drafted on defense, that would basically be the death knell of a defensive unit that has been on life support this whole season. Depending on what happens this offseason, I honestly don't think it would be a bad idea for Burrow to consider a trade. And it's not because I'm scared of the Chiefs playing him; he can stay in the AFC or even feel free to find a customer in the AFC West. But he needs to be in an organization that respects him and his talents, and it's clear that the Bengals don't. And it really sucks for their fans. After years of being in the abyss, they finally get their guy, and all of a sudden the franchise just doesn't do right by him even after giving him his contract.
Burrow and Mahomes should be playing twice a year, once in the regular season and once in the playoffs. Him and Mahomes should be having battles the way him and Josh are.
You can praise the MLB for creating a system where the game’s big stars are consolidated into 6 teams. But just wait, before long the small market teams and fans are going to give up. I say this as a diehard Cardinals fan growing up: I don’t even want to think about baseball because of how big the spending gap is (and certainly our ownership plays a part in that). But realistically, I know there is a very low probability that we compete with the big market teams for a long time.
That's what I was going to say. One of the major reasons the NFL has grown the way it has is that every team has a very equal chance to compete even though the top talent would mostly prefer larger markets as well as geographically desirable places to live. Star players will accept less money to play in Miami/LA/NYC, but the small markets can overcome those teams with solid ownership decisions, drafting, and coaching. So, even if the MLB has a little resurgence from time to time, they would be wise to structure at least a little more favorably to the smaller market teams.
I hate when people who don't cover the Bengals/Cincy sports try to talk about them like they know everything. The Bengals are no different than other franchises when it comes to paying their players and they always pay the QB and WR. They also draft very well at those positions so I'm not worried about that side of the ball. It's the defense that needs to be coached up and retooled. They just need the 15-18th overall defense and they are fine
Right? Not a single thing Colin said about Cincinnati was accurate. It was frustrating to watch but not surprising. Colin has always hated this franchise.
The main issue is nobdy disagrees. Everyone can see Burrow is in the worst position. Lamar and Allen have rosters and franchises capable of winning a superbowl. Although Burrow took them there before, it's hard to see them doing it again.
Burrow is in better place because Cinn. is cheap, Lamar & Allen teams spend, they just stupid, bad defenses, don't know how use Henry. None winning SB. Broncos will be in SB before any these. Burrow should demand trade.
I want to push back on your stance on parity in the MLB. First, attendance in mlb has been on the decline over the past 10 years. Second, the dodgers being dominant and creating a lack of parity in the sport will only be good for ratings for maybe a couple years. The rest of the fans will grow tired of seeing only the dodgers win and sign all of the star players (that’s already happening this offseason).
I jumped ship on baseball a long time ago because my team (Rays) kept losing all our best players to rich cities. The Rays could compete but could not win it all. But what really hurt is that the players I loved always left.
@ I think you’re 100% right. The NBA’s decline is part of why I think baseball will follow suit. Once the players started forming “super teams” in the NBA they sort of peaked and ratings fell off not long after.
@@jibernish For me, the biggest problem with the MLB is the lack of effective revenue sharing, especially when compared with the NFL. "...robust revenue sharing is the backbone of the NFL’s economic stability and the exact terms of revenue sharing are closely watched by owners sensitive to perceived unfairness."

Mike Brown is asset rich cash poor so when it comes to signing big contract he doesn't have the cash to pay them. When he signed Joe contract he had to put all the grantee money as cash into an account. The issue with the Bangles is Mike Brown doesn't have enough cash to fund the team so he has to money ball it.
@@jacksmith5562Yup, lots of people have no idea what liquidity is , and how it’s what allows teams like Rams, cowboys, eagles to pay these contracts and push a lot of it onto singing bonuses . Mike Brown is cash poor , and asset rich .
I remember when the Reds were World Series Champs and made a trade to get the top pitcher in baseball. Then MLB didn’t allow it because of the best interest in baseball. Imagine doing that today.
The bengals don’t officially have a GM but the Mike Brown/Duke Tobin combo have filled the typical role of GM for cincy since 1999. That’s 26 years of accomplishing nothing. No other team would keep such ineffective GM for that long.
Haha. Funny, I’ll give you that. The only thing that will “trouble” Burrow over the next 10 will be the always present potential for injury. Generational talent. The Bengals with an average defense are damn near unbeatable. See you for ‘25.
Burrow wants to keep Higgins. If they do that and also resign Chase. They will be in the same issues every year. Great offensive weapons but not a good O Line and meh defense. Not to mention if they resign Hendrickson it only makes that worse.
Bills should trade for Hendrickson. All the talk after the afc championship was the Bills need that game changer on defense. Bills get their game changer, Bengals don't have to pay him. Win win. Though idk if the bengals would want him going to another afc contender.
They might be bad or risk averse owners but their finances won't play a meaningful role in how good or poor the Bengals roster is. Every team has to spend basically the same amount of cap money on their roster by law and it doesn't come from the owners, it comes from the league and it's TV revenue.
Mmm I don´t buy it, if all the other teams are so good, have so much money and those amazing back offices, why they haven't reach the SB?, which is the excuse for Baltimore and Buffalo?
Sooner or later, these great QBs will start refusing to resign with the teams that drafted them, so they can go to better run teams for the rest of their careers. We are going to see too many elite QBs fail to win anything big because they are on poorly run teams.
Royals are on Bally pretty regular, but Colin makes a solid point. I remember the late 70s when the small market Royals gave the Yankees a run for their money. George would openly tell journos that MLB NEEDED salary caps but he wouldn't support them because he didn't want to give up his advantage. His local tv contract was worth more than some teams(namely KC) entire income flow.
Watch the way they both lose to the Chiefs and tell me with straight face you take Lamar over Allen lol…. Lamar in playoffs just aint it and it’s not even close…. james harden choke level and worse…
Colin has internalized Pro-Corporate values so deeply, he makes me ill. Does he think inequality is good for the country as well? Is it good that a handful of billionaires own the political system?
3:10 So let’s do some real analysis, why are the Kansas City Chiefs thriving while the Bengals are perennially mediocre. They are both small-market midwestern teams. Is it simply the Mahomes factor?
Colin is wrong. The Bengals share NFL profit sharing is about $150 million more than the salary cap. The Bengals have money, they just don't want to spend it.
Joe Burrow is the modern Drew Brees except the only Super Bowl he’s going to he lost. He’ll always put up great numbers and be a top 10 player but he’ll never be “The Guy” in the NFL.
Dont feel bad for Joe…if you know the team and owner have no money and therefore cant build a competent roster, then Joe and his representation know it also…they have a responsibility to force a trade and goto a real team/owner where he can win as well as get paid.
He definitely plays a part. People seem to only blame the defense for why they missed the playoffs ignoring the fact he had a role too. Turning the ball over late in games and failing to come through on potential game winning drives over and over again is on him. If the Bengals decide to resign Chase and Higgins, with Hendrickson on top of that. They will be in the same loop year after year unless they nail their draft picks every year.
I said this ealier, if the Bengals aren't serious about winning Joe will likely leave in 4-5 years. He already said in an interview that the standard for the Bengals is the SuperBowl he knows that him and chase should at bare minimum be competing in the AFC championship every year.
@@larry2281 I hear you those late picks and 3 and outs don't help the team, but the problem is why does the offense have to play near perfect football for the team to have a chance to win. Burrow said before that ravens game he would have to play perfect for them to win. That pick where chase lost his step cost them the game. With a competent defense they wouldn't be in situations where your offense has to get points every drive.
Lamar and Josh are playing as well as they ever will they both are going to loose a step or two eventually they have had their chances and failed.Josh is the closest to beating the Chiefs he already has 4 times in the regular season he doesn’t rely as much on his legs as Lamar so he still has a chance but don’t know.

You want to give the MVP to a guy that didn’t even make the playoffs ?? Ya’ll have lost your mind. Jalen Hurts made the playoffs last year with the 31st ranked defense. Finished 11-6. The excuses you guys make for certain QBs is crazy
They've been saying for years that MLB will have a massive resurgence and it's never happened and considering that only a few teams are atop the food chain constantly, fans of all the rest have simply grown tired and eventually have slowly begun to walk away.
not to mention the brown family and the city of cincinnati are in a fight about the stadium right now!!! cincinnati is a dumpster fire organization and he needs to get the hell out. sorry bengals fans
Being a life long KC fan,and going 30+ years pulling for a perennial losing franchise ( b4 veach/ Reid/ spags/ mahomes it was brutal) I always felt a kinship to other shitty teams.CLE,NYj,CHI,..etc and was happy for them when they would have a good team here and there..for some reason I feel nothing but real hater shit for this Cin team..I'm not sure if it's cause they had that year they beat us twice ( 1 reg season game and the afcc game later) and since then everyone thinks the Bengals are KC's kryptonite or whatever..but I for real hate Cincinnati for why?? I don't know..but it feels right 😅
It's pretty entertaining watching their fans squirm now that they have to deal with salary cap and some seeming to think they can still keep everyone 😂
The problem is why did Burrow have to spend this entire season publicly talking about the importance of Chase and Higgins on the team? Most teams would have figured out a way to get these deals done I wouldn't even be shocked if they let chase and Higgins walk in free agency
10 more seasons at this rate, Jalen Hurts career would dwarf Lamar, Josh, and Joe. Just saying 80+wins and 20 losses in 4 seasons and 2 Super Bowl appearances is Elite
I have a feeling he will. Mike Brown and everyone is just happy selling Jerseys and game tickets. They have a free ride with Joe Burrow to a Lombardi and they are taking it for granted. He 100% retires with a different team if they don't get it together.
The Hunt family are one one the riches owners in the league. They are just cheap. They didn’t sell the rights to pay for Mahomes. They sold the rights because Clark is a cheap a-hole
I look at stafford, wasted his prime years in Detroit won a SuperBowl year 1 with McVay. Don't want Burrow to go down that path where his entire first 8-10 years of his career is just "what ifs"
I hear a far off distant chant on the southwest coast, coming from the office of Les Snead "eff them picks, eff them picks, eff them picks, eff them picks." What better than for the Rams to trade the next decade of 1st rounders to get the QB from the team they won a super bowl against?
Bangles and buffalo need to follow the dynasty model. Ditch high priced receivers, get an o line with tight end and defense. Get the best coaching possible who understands that and you’re golden. Outside of that everything else is bonus
After listening to this cast, why oh why are we die hard Bengals fans....Brown family thank you so much for not making us hard die hard fans celebrate not ever winning a fookin Superbowl...bless ya...
Thanks for saying it out loud. Burrow came to Cincinnati because the Bengals had the pick and Joe wanted to come back to Ohio. His rookie contract was OK with Mike Brown, Chase came along and Burrow provided a spark and leadership to make the rest of the team believers IMHO. I have the Brown family in my wallet as a resident of the county paying taxes for the stadium that is demanding updates and repairs. Now they want a roof. This small market team is hoping there are enough fans left to swing the deal their way. The city and county leaders are under the Brown's threat to always move the team if they don't get their way. I would love to test their will, Where would they go? An even smaller market city? Be the second team in a larger market? After the Superbowl loss, I felt Burrow should get with a better team and organization before he ends up in a wheelchair watching games from home. He's too good to waste....and the Browns are.
I have a feeling him and stafford are going to have similar careers. Wasting away prime years for a bad organization leave mid 30s win a ring then retire in 2-3 years.
He inherited Rivers' weapons and the Chargers never properly built around Herbert. He had a top 10 offense at worst during his rookie years but it was countered by having a con artist at HC who never had even an average NFL defense. Never had a true TE1 or RB1 either. This was his first season where everything was stripped down and had to be rebuilt given their cap.
What’s fucking insane to me is nothing I burrows fault. He’s had one of the best wr cores in league history for years now…. Put mahomes on that fucking team they are not gonna miss the playoffs……
Nah I see him getting back. Its gonna be tough. Dude beat Texas Ga Alabama Oklahoma Clemson his final year. Then went to the Superbowl in his second season. He just have something you dont see in alot of qbs. He clearly playing for the wrong franchise though.
Burrow will be 34 when his contract expires in 2029/2030.. realistically I can see him playing till 37-39 if he stays healthy. You never know if he’ll demand a trade after 3 more years also. Joe needs to win, it’s in his blood. I feel this conversation tho. Bangles have made some great strides over the last 10 years but not sure if they can keep it up. If you have the QB you can always make a run tho
Bengals have over 40 mil in cap space this offseason. If they cut Hubbard, rankins, and stone, and resign jamarr, tee, and Hendrickson they’re up to 90mil. Talking heads just gonna talk
The CBA determines the salary cap, which is distributed evenly to each NFL team, and it is the money that is used to pay the players.. So how would the Bengals selling naming rights help Burrow get paid when that has ZERO to do with the salary cap? That makes no sense!
The only teams that could have 3 players reset the market and still build a team are Dallas cowboys and Miami. The prestige, tax free and warm weather will have people willing to take paycuts. I bet a $10m salary in Dallas is a $20m contract in “Arizona” all said and done. I bet zeke winning nothing makes more off the field than “hunt” with 2 SB. I bet Micah will make way more than tj watt.

First off, I love listening to Colin and Nick, most especially Colin for entertaining me for with his takes for years. That said, I completely disagree with Colin's take on baseball. I was a huge fan in the 70's but stopped watching when it became apparent to me that the playing field was not even for all teams. The Yankee's benefitted from having from having the most money not the smartest front office, just the one with the most financial resources, they'd buy an all star team. Most other teams were just a farm league for a handful of wealthier teams and still are. I haven't watched a baseball game in decades and won't until they have a salary cap structure like the NFL. I have plenty of criticisms for the NFL but the one thing they nailed is parity. Every fan base believes after the draft that they may have a chance or at least, in the not to distant future. I'm fine with NFL dynasties because it would be the because they were the smartest organization not the wealthiest I heard that the Yankees and Dodgers play in the last World series, two wealthiest teams. It would be the world series I'd least want to watch in MLB history.
Franchises matter. Theres a reason manning only went to 2 sbs in 13 years with the colts but went to 2 in 4 years with the broncos even tho he was a shell of himself for the last 2. When burrow signes that contract with Cincinnati i knew he was screwed.
well actually, nothing _helped_ the NHL more than Gretzky being traded to LA and drastically growing a very non-conventional hockey market and driving up national interest during a time where it was really lacking, so had he stayed his whole career in Edmonton that actually would have hurt the NHL compared to him leaving
@@mattcarberry368That is true. The NHL grew drastically after he went to LA. It made the NHL apart of the big 4 NA sports markets. But I get their point. You have superstars in smaller markets and it doesn’t affect the league at all. The best player is in Edmonton. I believe outside of Edmonton the only metro smaller for NHL teams is Winnipeg and Buffalo and Winnipeg also has the best goalie in the league. And Josh Allen for example is on a small market team. Buffalo is the second smallest metro in the NFL behind Green Bay.
@@larry2281 oh for sure i generally agree with that point, in todays landscape you don't have to be in NY or LA to get national exposure, anyone anywhere can get famous for anything these days, fans have access to watching any team in any city they want through apps/cable packages etc, definitely not a big deal like it used to be i just found it amusing they specifically used the Gretzky example since him leaving Edmonton was one of the most seismic growth events for the NHL in league history lol

Right. Baseball is done for many reasons. But they make it worse with their competitive gap
Burrow to the Rams.
WOW .good call..that would be a dangerous side with such a good upcoming defense
The rams will absolutely give up the next 3-4 first round picks for burrow. Anyone would
What a 4d chess move by McVay. lol
@ I was thinking free agency. No player should be loyal to incompetent management
As a Rams fan take 3 first now.
The main issue is nobdy disagrees. Everyone can see Burrow is in the worst position. Lamar and Allen have rosters and franchises capable of winning a superbowl. Although Burrow took them there before, it's hard to see them doing it again.
Lightning in a bottle yr
Must have caught it again the next year when they made it back to the afc title game
Joe wins when Lamar get injured. Burrow is 1-6 against Lamar. Joe had his shot and missed it.
@@donh5856and Lamar still has less wins in the playoffs. Wild! Way more chances too! 3-5 is diabolical
That's true but at the rate the NBA is going, Baseball will surpass it. People forget how international baseball is.
@johnbox271 well sure. That's a big reason for the problem. No doubt.
Mike brown net worth is 4 billion I just looked into it how do the bengals not have any money ? Maybe they just cheap how does someone with a 4 billion net worth have to sell his stadium to pay Joe like stop Mike brown just doesn’t like spending money & they have plenty of cap space this offseason

Marino wasted four Super Bowl quality years. Dan never lifted other player to greatness…
@@lawrencefranck9417 You may have forgotten Duper and Clayton. Still the number 1 and 2 all time Miami total yards.
Come to the Niners.
Haha. Funny, I’ll give you that. The only thing that will “trouble” Burrow over the next 10 will be the always present potential for injury. Generational talent. The Bengals with an average defense are damn near unbeatable. See you for ‘25.
He keep tryna push that Josh second best crap
Burrow wants to keep Higgins. If they do that and also resign Chase. They will be in the same issues every year. Great offensive weapons but not a good O Line and meh defense. Not to mention if they resign Hendrickson it only makes that worse.
Bills should trade for Hendrickson. All the talk after the afc championship was the Bills need that game changer on defense. Bills get their game changer, Bengals don't have to pay him. Win win. Though idk if the bengals would want him going to another afc contender.
No one outside 2 guys think josh is better then Lamar 😂
Kc fan here. Buffalo plays us hard every game! Lamar loses his mind during the playoffs. Josh is better.
Josh is better then Lamar were it counts the most so Allen better then choke artist in playoffs
@@Smilodon_exallen chokes to
They might be bad or risk averse owners but their finances won't play a meaningful role in how good or poor the Bengals roster is. Every team has to spend basically the same amount of cap money on their roster by law and it doesn't come from the owners, it comes from the league and it's TV revenue.
And don't forget generational talent, the one and only, the greatest of the greats, Trevor Lawrence.

The “no parity is good for baseball” take in regards to baseball is one of the stupidest I’ve heard
Burrow has 2 options: takes less $ a la Brady to force Bengals to sign Chase snd invest in defense. or force a trade
the bengals owners are cheap and their front office is bad at drafting. the bengals are a poverty franchise. burrow should demand a trade
More about the coaching staff.
Colin is wrong. The Bengals share NFL profit sharing is about $150 million more than the salary cap. The Bengals have money, they just don't want to spend it.
He means that they are one of the poorest ownership groups. This effects paying coaches, facilities, and support staff
Joe Burrow is the modern Drew Brees except the only Super Bowl he’s going to he lost. He’ll always put up great numbers and be a top 10 player but he’ll never be “The Guy” in the NFL.
I mean you can try to make comparisons but if you actually watch him play he’s nothing like drew brees
Maybe he might be a Dan Marino all these crazy stats but no ring
@@Emu1776 the guy literally explained the context of his point, and it's very obvious that it wasn't what you're talking about lol
Bengals have plenty of money. The questions will they spend it.
Jamar chase is gonna cost 40mil+ they probably wanna keep Hendrickson who needs a raise and won’t have much left for Higgins but that’s it
Joe signed the contract.

Every once in a while. I'll get back on social media. This headline grabbed me. And as a former sports fan from Cincinnati. This is spot on, in my opinion. But also social media and news is the devil.
The Bengals with Joe Burrow is the equivalent of the Angels with Ohtani
I’m a say more like the Seattle Mariners have all the talent in the world, but the talent end up, leaving to another team and becoming a superstar
The first five minutes of this video is them making an argument as to why Burrow should win the MVP this year. The guy had an amazing year with a boat anchor around his neck.
You want to give the MVP to a guy that didn’t even make the playoffs ?? Ya’ll have lost your mind. Jalen Hurts made the playoffs last year with the 31st ranked defense. Finished 11-6. The excuses you guys make for certain QBs is crazy
“BeNgALs SoLd tHe NaMiNg RiGhts”
That’s what franchises do, Colin. They sell the naming rights of their stadium to make money.
Who’d he say the 2nd best player was??? 😂 Josh Allen…who hasn’t won a damn thing. Cut it out Nick. 😒😏
Burrow will be hurting as soon as he doesn't have a couple of star jump ball receivers
Oh yeah that's all he does throw 50/50 balls to his recievers.,,he's one of the best in the league, but keep lying to yourself
@danzemacabre8899 it's how he has success, so yeah
I know im the first one that said this because ive been saying this for a few years now - Burrow is the new Marino. Run Burrow Run.
The problem is why did Burrow have to spend this entire season publicly talking about the importance of Chase and Higgins on the team? Most teams would have figured out a way to get these deals done I wouldn't even be shocked if they let chase and Higgins walk in free agency
Daniel’s will get multiple bowls.
😂😂😂😂
10 more seasons at this rate, Jalen Hurts career would dwarf Lamar, Josh, and Joe. Just saying 80+wins and 20 losses in 4 seasons and 2 Super Bowl appearances is Elite
You mention OKC is not good for the nba and that is why the NFL is king. Patrick Mahomes plays for a team in Missouri not Cali and it doesn’t matter
Burrow wont win won until he pulls a Stafford imo
I have a feeling he will. Mike Brown and everyone is just happy selling Jerseys and game tickets. They have a free ride with Joe Burrow to a Lombardi and they are taking it for granted. He 100% retires with a different team if they don't get it together.
Last years mlb playoffs final 4 in payroll rank : 1- Mets. 2 - Dodgers. 3 - Yankees. 28 - Guardians.
Who is holding a gun to Burrow's head and saying to him; "You cannot leave Cincinnati or the AFC for the rest of your career."
Wait is it Geha @ Arrowhead since 2021??!! It's almost like that had to sell their name to pay guys too.
The Hunt family are one one the riches owners in the league. They are just cheap. They didn’t sell the rights to pay for Mahomes. They sold the rights because Clark is a cheap a-hole
If the organization cant learn to win, then Burrow should to sit out. Demand a trade. Do not waste a top-2 QB.
I look at stafford, wasted his prime years in Detroit won a SuperBowl year 1 with McVay. Don't want Burrow to go down that path where his entire first 8-10 years of his career is just "what ifs"
Lots of players face this too. If you want competitive teams, this is the result. The alternative is baseball, which is dying
Joe Burrows gonna be like Stafford, asking for a trade late in his career.
Joe Burrow, Lamar Harden & Herbert are boned with Allen & Mahomes in the AFC
Uhm, Allen is in the same boat. All are trying to eclipse the Chiefs until proven otherwise
I hear a far off distant chant on the southwest coast, coming from the office of Les Snead "eff them picks, eff them picks, eff them picks, eff them picks." What better than for the Rams to trade the next decade of 1st rounders to get the QB from the team they won a super bowl against?
Such a weird TH-cam intro … I don’t get it 😂 but I still watch
If you really feel josh allen is 2nd best player in league... u should find another profession
Happy Anniversary! Thank you for the testimonial.
Wasting away prime years for a bad organization leave mid 30s win a ring then retire in 2-3 years.
i think Herbert is most likely to not make it to a Superbowl tbh Herbert had pieces & fumbled against Houston
Joe come to the cowboys! Please 🙏😭
What about a tournament instead of two conferences? Think it could work?
Burrow to Vikings would be awesome lol
Nick looks blazed af 🤣🤣
The only teams that could have 3 players reset the market and still build a team are Dallas cowboys and Miami. The prestige, tax free and warm weather will have people willing to take paycuts. I bet a $10m salary in Dallas is a $20m contract in “Arizona” all said and done. I bet zeke winning nothing makes more off the field than “hunt” with 2 SB. I bet Micah will make way more than tj watt.
It’s crazy that the Bengals ownership doesn’t have money to pay their top players.

I'm fine with NFL dynasties because it would be the because they were the smartest organization not the wealthiest
I heard that the Yankees and Dodgers play in the last World series, two wealthiest teams. It would be the world series I'd least want to watch in MLB history.
How many AFC teams are willing to give the Saints draft picks to hire Spags as head coach. That would end the Chiefs dominance.
Franchises matter. Theres a reason manning only went to 2 sbs in 13 years with the colts but went to 2 in 4 years with the broncos even tho he was a shell of himself for the last 2.
When burrow signes that contract with Cincinnati i knew he was screwed.
When Stanford retires Burrow needs to come play for the Rams.
These two dummies saying this means Allen and Burrow gonna win 3 each. As a Chiefs fan myself, Nick embarrasses me.
Edmonton Alberta is the northern most capital in Canada and they had Gretzky now Connor Mcdavid and it hasnt hurt the NHL
These idiots won't even acknowledge the NHL sadly
well actually, nothing _helped_ the NHL more than Gretzky being traded to LA and drastically growing a very non-conventional hockey market and driving up national interest during a time where it was really lacking, so had he stayed his whole career in Edmonton that actually would have hurt the NHL compared to him leaving
@@larry2281 oh for sure i generally agree with that point, in todays landscape you don't have to be in NY or LA to get national exposure, anyone anywhere can get famous for anything these days, fans have access to watching any team in any city they want through apps/cable packages etc, definitely not a big deal like it used to be
i just found it amusing they specifically used the Gretzky example since him leaving Edmonton was one of the most seismic growth events for the NHL in league history lol
I wish that just one year, Mahomes could have a WR as good as Chase or Jefferson. Tyreek wasn't close to these guys because of 50/50 balls. Burrow is so lucky to have Chase and Higgins. Must be nice. Chiefs would be a much better team. Oh well.
