In all honesty, I think this is probably the worst pasta I've ever made, and I'm surprised Muta liked it so much. It totally blew me away at the end when he had kind words to say about it. But I think the one really fatal flaw in this story was that it was too cautious in trying to stay grounded in reality, too much to the point that it felt nothing really happened at all. While it's good to restrain yourself from writing something completely ludicrous to where you completely break your audience's sense of disbelief, and maybe becoming a laughing stock while at it, if you don't take any risks at all your story could suffer a much worse fate in being boring. Hope my criticism helps a little, and good luck with your future stories!
As an avid user of RPG Maker, I can tell you that there's one flaw with this story that's incredibly noticeable: The author said he had RPG Maker VX, but the character faces used are edits of those made with the character generator, which wasn't added until VX Ace. I suppose it isn't too important, but it certainly stuck out to me.

I'd like to get your take on a creepypasta I've heard a couple TH-cam readers read. It isn't related to gaming, in particular, but to a cartoon show. I think the story's called The My Little Pony Theory or MLP Theory. My personal opinion of it is, by the end of the story, it's sweet and spiritual, and the exact opposite of creepy. I just thought it'd be interesting to get your opinion of it.
I actually really enjoyed this one. My only complaint is that the actual spooky part felt really short compared to the build up. I thought that part was done really well though, because it had a more subtle creepiness to it, as opposed to nonstop, in-your-face screaming and gore. The screenshots definitely added to that, especially the last one with the shattered face sprite (that face really creeped me out for some reason). I also liked how the ending was rather ambiguous. Was there actually something paranormal going on with the game, or did the virus just royally fuck it up and did the flickering and droning noise cause some sort of reaction in his brain to make him pass out? Not the greatest story ever, but at least it had actual effort put into it.

From my experience, if you're not careful in messing with an RPG Maker game, it won't look "corrupt." It'll refuse to load or do anything, really. If a single character is off in the code or a filename is unreadable, a message will show up asking "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO" and the game will close, unless it's just sound for some reason. There are other things in the screenshots that seem like they're photoshopped or whatever, but the porn virus didn't have to exist in this story, because it would've done nothing to RPG Maker files. inb4 someone tells me about their virus infected rpg maker game being spooky and shit
Just because something's RPG Maker doesn't automatically mean it's a terrible game... Now, I won't lie, WAY more often than not, it does, but I don't think it's right to just jump to such conclusions immediately. The same can be said about Game Maker.
I like the concept of the story, and I've seen what a virus or even deleting, then over-writing the disk sector can do to images, who's to say it can't do the same to .jpg equivalent of games? also, I'm not ragging on RPG maker, because it is a worth while tool, but to be honest, I would consider RPG maker a creative starting point, but that's another point entirely. the original point I'm trying to make is this story could actually happen, granted instead of the thumb-drive just magically working again, they could have somehow done digital reconstruction to the software inside, but what really killed it for me was the ending of the story. the ending just seemed tired and overused, the whole "omg I saw some spoopy pixels, I will never do anything again" kind of ending is almost counter intuitive, to put it simply: 2 spook 4 me, does NOT make a great ending!
Well. You know this is gonna be good story if it starts right off with "too edgy to even have an E" from Mutahar.... EDIT: Well. 4mins in and a virus from a porn site is the cause of this.. Well then.. :| EDIT#2: 12mins in... Well. This jumps around just as much as the SAO story... EDIT#3: Well Mutahar likes it for good reasons but meh it wasn't my type of story.

When I was listening to this the first time I was working on my game on RPG Maker VX Ace. Then I heard the Words RPG Maker then I 💩 my 👖.
I like the concept of the story, and I've seen what a virus or even deleting, then over-writing the disk sector can do to images, who's to say it can't do the same to .jpg equivalent of games? also, I'm not ragging on RPG maker, because it is a worth while tool, but to be honest, I would consider RPG maker a creative starting point, but that's another point entirely. the original point I'm trying to make is this story could actually happen, granted instead of the thumb-drive just magically working again, they could have somehow done digital reconstruction to the software inside, but what really killed it for me was the ending of the story. the ending just seemed tired and overused, the whole "omg I saw some spoopy pixels, I will never do anything again" kind of ending is almost counter intuitive, to put it simply: 2 spook 4 me, does NOT make a great ending!

I failed to see anything creepy about this one. Not just in the sense that it wasn't spookz (it wasn't though) but that I just actually can not figure out what is creepy about it. The ending was also kinda hilarious. It was just a very simple story about some crappy buggy game that you'd expect a 10 year old to make. Then this dude kinda just passed out at his monitor (probably from boredom), woke up and stomped all over the flash drive? Like what? Hahaha.
