Again, another great video. Using your videos, I have done an oil change / oil filter, fuel filter, EGR clean and pollen/air filters on my 2009 T27 Avensis. Am delighted with myself and ready to try the disks/pads next! Thank you
You're a good man putting all these T27 vids up. Nice one :)
Thank you Paul and I’m happy to do it as am doing the job so I’ll share the way to do them and hopefully help others to save on garage costs as it’s so expensive and living is so expensive, but once again thanks and thanks for the support
@@cardiyrepair clear instructional videos are great in the best of times, as we are far away from the best of times they are invaluable. If your ever in North Wales give me a shout, I'll buy you beers :)
You make up my day. After fuel filter replacement couldn't start engine, even didn't know about manual pump.
Thanks for this video mate worked a treat.
Really appreciate your videos. Hello from the kingdom
Glad it helped
Thanks for putting this out there, it’s a massive help for us amateurs that want to look after our own cars. Cheers
Just taken it off and also been sent the wrong filter! Any tips on how to make sure I get the right one next time? I have a photo of the two side-by-side but…..?
There is 2 filters for Avensis the best is visit local motor factor to get the correct one bud.
Thanks for the video. Please Keep sharing more
Thanks for the video btw👍
Very helpfull pal
great video
Good video.. how to do something well explained a 2 z.
forgot to say there buddy that lower black thing there should be a bolt there and that black clamp thing tightens on to the bottom where the bottom pump thing is that goes on the filter as thats whats on mine plus on mine i have a wee rubber at the bottom of it also before the black metal thing if i could post pics here i would
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Am i wrong if i assume that it work whit both those filters you have. I also ordered to my car but got the slimmer type, but the bigger whas on before i change. O rings whas exact and the threads to. All whas the same fitment.
The only thing is that is 2 types of filtering styles i think.
The slimmer will filtering right through.
And the bigger is like two pipes. Like this figure (0). so the fuel goes not through the center. But around(total filter area looks like the same.) I don't know what the hole is for. It may be the same filter on other vehicles where the center hole has a meaning. But not on this car. Idk
Anyway. I put it on but now i look after how too bleed it.
Hi there I have the same engine in a corolla it has a hesitation between 1800 and 2000 rpm I did clean the egr but did not remove the intake. And also cleaned maf sensor but still doing the same.
No warning lights on dash.
Would really appreciate some help
hi there its your South Derry friend here i did mine the other day and well did the same like you went to my local buddy motor factor he sold me the small filter like the one you had a blueprint and well tbh i had to go back and get the bigger one to be honest was my fault he said there two kinds and both would work but im a kinda guy the bigger the better lol. well i took mine all apart but when i was at the motor factors also i bought a tin of liquid molly diesel purge and well i put all the bottom parts on and pored the tin of diesel purge in the the filter well the blueprint dieses filter took all the tin filled it up nicley to thye top. then i put the top part of the filter on just hand tight then connected it to my car .it was a better job that as tbh i find by pushing those diesel filter pumps its easy to break the wee hand pump when they get older so less pumping the better well my car after connecting the diesel filter all up i pumped the wee hand pump max twice and the car started anyways so might not need bother pumping it .im a kinda guy better to try to pre fill the diesel filter before as it makes it way more easy less stress on the car and parts
I agreed with you and I had no diesel to fill the filter but definitely need a gallon in a jerrycans handy and appreciate that input thank you bud
Tenchiu very much
You are savior keep upload video is great I would have one question. Namely the other day I drived the car and suddenly out of nowhere get warning lights: Check engine, check the parking brake system and the VAC system. and all ligths turned themself off after a few days. What colud be a problem ? Best regards.
Possibly dirty egr valve
Hey buddy don’t mean to sound stupid but how often does this filter need changing. I have a 2012 t27 diesel.
I change it every second serving 12 thousand miles but they are so cheap could be done every service bud
Why you dont fill up the filter housing before mounting?
It’s not necessary, as by pumping the primer button before starting fills it up that way easier and no spilling of diesel
Hi m8 I have bought a toyota Avensis yesterday and its 212 reg 2 litre diesel. What engine oil do you use For servicing the engine. I have also realised that the engine seems a little sluggish into lower revs such as first to 3rd gears but once you accelerate a bit more the sluggishness seem to go aways. There is also seems rattling noise in the first and second gears. It seems there is something lose underneath the engine
I use 5w 40 and 6.3L for full oil change, and low gears are a bit sluggish and a bit of wellie sorts that out bud, but rattling could be a number of things best is jack it up and have a good look
@cardiyrepair I had a real shit day with this car today m8. I just bought it 2 days ago. I experienced hesitation and rough idle since yesterday and thought I might as well clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner. It worked really well and the hesitation seemed to go away
I then drove to pick some food and parked the car on the road shutting the engine off. When I came back and tired to start the engine it didn't start. It cranked but it won't turn the engine over. After every 20 mins I tried to crank the engine and it finally started but again running not smooth as engine revs kept fluctuating. I took it to a mechanic friend who is an mot tester he put the diagnostic tool on and it threw up a code of P1604 start ability malfunction. He said he won't be able to do anything because he didn't have enough electrical knowledge saying there could be different sensors that are bad. As he had turned the ignition off in order to scan the vehicle the car wouldn't start again. I was sitting outside his garage in the car and it finally started after 2 1/2 hours.
It seems to me that this is an electrical issue. It's not fuel related otherwise the engine shouldn't start. Once the engine is on it won't shut but runs poor with hesitation but once I turn the ignition off while the engine is hot after 5 minute it won't start again until the engine has cooled down. I've been watching some videos on TH-cam since this evening and my guess is its either the camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor that has either damaged wires or they themselves are damaged. Any thoughts on this issue
The
You might have to use some liqui moly diesel purge on your engine. Please watch his video about changing the diesel fuel filter. Once you have screwed the new filter on its mount, and before screwing back the sensor put as much as possible diesel purge in it and then screw back the sensor. But in general please make sure to use quality diesel since that can make a big difference
Hi. I'm from Ukraine. Can you repeat which of the pipes goes to the fuel pump and which one comes from the pump? I also have D-4D 2.2 .
Time to go home to Ukraine we can’t afford to keep u anymore
