    😢😢 Brought me to ABSOLUTE tears watching the passion, dedication and how much of an effect your influence has had on all 17 submissions. Guys are using WHATEVER is available (second-hand equipment in some cases) all in an effort to follow this "DREAM" of Car audio. You are TRULY AWESOME Peter and I to, just as the 17 contestants, thank you -from the bottom of my heart- for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience. "Cheers Mate" from Sunny Los Angeles, California 🙂

    That was awesome to finally watch. I can now put a face on some of the guys on Patreon. And see what they have worked so hard on. I’m the one with the 2007 Chevy Silverado from Boston. Today I got about 3 hours of work in on my system. I only have so much time cause I can only do it at work cause I don’t have a place at home to do it. All I wanted to win was a PSsound Tshirt or hoodie. Again Peter thank you so much for all your efforts. You’re good man 👍

      I just watched your submission on this video. I really liked the custom USB ports you made for your dash. They look amazing! And I like the a pillars with those grills you used. They look great too. I wish we could’ve seen your equiptment but I get that it’s a daily driver not a show car so making them un-accessible is actually the best security you could’ve added to this truck. Especially living in Boston. (I grew up in providence) but I am curious if you’ve done anything to address any rattleing issues you anticipate from adding a sub to your center console? And where is the sound gonna vent from? Just curious. Great system though thanks for sharing that with us.

      @@jamband4230 Thank you, I took the console apart into about 6-7 pieces. Treated every piece with sound damping/deadening along with the floor and under dash components, heater ducts and panels. The subwoofer vents pretty good through the front of the console. Only time I get any rattle is when I have the cup holder in the center pocket that I pulled out in the video. It comes right off when not in use. The rest of the console is surprisingly very tight. I was worried about rattling from the point of the idea to the first time I powered it up. I currently have a JL tw3 10 in it right now. I’m thinking about trying a illusion carbon 10 or a Audiomobile EVO 10. I’m most happy about the fact that without tuning it and from the first time I listened to the center sub, it can’t be located by sound. Its at the center of the dash without a tune. I’m guessing it’s cause of the center location.
      One of the guys I work with just listened to my truck last week. He asked where my subwoofers were cause it seems like it’s on the windshield and all around his body.
      I’m running two JL10w3 10’s in the back.

    those guys actually just wanted to show off and put to shame the majority of car audio shops. I mean, as Matt says at around 1:08:29, no experience with tools and we see much better jobs than shops that are doing this every day....like we've seen with the French van. hats off for you guys.

    I’ve always heard of Patreon but I’ve never used that website nor have I had a good enough reason to join. But you my friend has changed that perspective for me. Regardless of this video I stumbled on which is fanstastic to see what your student are accomplishing 😊 your like our Sensai, you are the master as far car Audio in concerned!! How much is the membership? I barely have the time to devote to watching many of them but I’m going to try and join soon and hopefully I can stay with you guys for a while but times are bumpy for me currently 😏 I’m hoping it’s not more than fifty bucks ?

    Hey Peter, have you ever used Tru Technology amplifiers? They look legit legit!! They are an SQ brand that if you haven't checked them out maybe you should, very very nice inside and out. I've watched a whole bunch of your videos and to my knowledge I haven't seen this brand amplifier in any of your builds. I could be wrong.

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The reality is that all those beautiful brands you have in US are not available over here and without distribution not many customers will want to buy into something that they may have issues with and they could be left hanging.
      Also, amplification is the least important in a system. It doesn’t mean it’s not important, but getting good amps these days is easy! Installing the right speakers in the given applications, in the best locations is the most important! If that is not given, no tuning or a better amp could ever fix that!

    Does anyone have any experience about Helix cap 33?! I'm curious about it, I have optical to processor and I still have a slight alternator whine. (RCA are way further from power cables and everything seems perfect) but still don't know what's causing that noise

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bad ground points or ground loop. Power all pieces of equipment from the same distribution point.

    • @odie0815
      @odie0815 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although I had one in my E46 (and a friend of mine has one in his E39) which is rather famous for alternator whine
      I would use the Cap33 only as last resort (I had it just to be save - had i t disconnected for a period of time - turned out I did not need it to begin with)
      1. Try the points that Peter mentioned
      2 find out at witch point the whine appears - disonnect the rca on the amp - does it go away or not?
      test the DSP side
      repeat for the connection of the source to the DSP
      3 if there is still a problem try open air wireing of the RCA Cables
      - or try different ones - had it also already that the rca cable had a bad termination that cause the whine
      4 try to short out all unused "INPUTS"
      I had one occasion where I had the whine only wneh the handsfree was in use - soloution there was th short out the unused RCA input and the whine was gone
      If all of the above does not help try the Cap33
