Love this!! I am a brunette and had just been using plain corn starch, never thought about adding coco powder to help make it match my hair color. Genius!!!
Thank you for sharing. It's clearly better with cocoa powder, than when dry shampoo first came out and gave you virtually "white" hair at the roots. But I think it helps enormously that you have previously lightened hair as it blends your regrowth roots. I think my hair is still just too dark for this to work on me... I would probably need something like powdered charcoal, if it didn't stain everything it touched! Well done for helping people though.. Great idea.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I only wash my hair about 2 days a week as well, so dry shampoo is a life saver product on those inbetween days. :p I want to get into making more of my own beauty products so this will be a good start! :) I do a lot of natural/green beauty videos if you want to check them out too. Cant wait to catch up on more of your videos!
Hi Courtney. Thanks for watching. Dry shampoo definitely is a great place to start, it's super easy and so handy to have. I have actually come across your videos before and am already subscribed :) They are great!
My hair is keratin treated and straightened. Can I still do this if I don't want to wash my hair when it becomes greasy? I'm afraid it will mess up my hair
I bought at Wholefoods an organic cocoa powder. Man, it stinks like vinegar when on your skin. Though I am a light brunette I will use the only arrowroot powder.
Thank you so much my dear friend to sharing your videos everyday I'm watching this channel in youtube now I know how to make DIY dry shampoo at home its amazing:-$
I only use baking soda and cornstarch, I don’t add anything brown. I section my hair and use a fan brush to apply. I haven’t bought a dry shampoo since I found out about this! It works really great. I also wouldn’t recommend putting anything wet into the mix because that didn’t work for me.
I'm definitely not getting the concept of dry shampoo. It seems to me that you start out with oily hair and end up with oily hair with cornstarch/cocoa powder caked in it. I want something that will remove the oil.
I know it sounds super weird, but it is so good for your hair. It is detoxifying and cleansing. Of course, do some research so you know what it is all about and what it can do for your hair before you give it a go.
Sometimes I do rush my words, I always a million things going on my head and sometimes words don't come out properly because my brain doesn't slow down enough for them to :) Apologies if you were unsure what I was talking about.

Yay! Glad you found this helpful xx
💯
I don’t think I’ll ever use regular dry shampoo again!!! Thanks for this awesome hair hack. Hearing you talk was an added bonus too.
I do that but just with cornstarch and it works so well it's been my favorite thing to use ...
ziplock bags are not recyclable. use your old empty jam jars. you can punch small holes in one lid with a nail for a shaker
Thank you for sharing.

You're very welcome. God bless you too :)
Gonna try this cause now all the storebought ones are being recalled.
Coco powder and corn starch did the job
Thank you so much my dear friend to sharing your videos everyday I'm watching this channel in youtube now I know how to make DIY dry shampoo at home its amazing:-$
Should let it sit in your hair for at least 2 minutes so it can soak up the oils for better effects x
The purpose of this is to leave it in all day so you don't have wash your hair if you don't have time :)
I meant before running your hands through it and getting it out
Running your hands through just helps to spread it around your roots, it doesn't get it out, so it can stay in all day working its magic :)
Yeah I just meant when you put the dry shampoo in your hair, you leave it settle in your hair before running your fingers through. :)
I've heard that it needs to be " unsweetened " co coa powder or it will make your hair sticky? Is that true or can u use normal?
I haven't heard that one, so not sure. I did use unsweetened though.
It is true because of the sugar
Your hair is beautiful.
Can you yous baby powder
did this work for anyone

Is my hair going to smell like chocolate?
Oh, my hair smells like chocolate🎶
Your accent is so cute

I love you New Zealand accent 💜
Thanks! After living in Australia for over 9 years its great to know I still sound like a Kiwi :)
+Mandi makes haha my family is Māori
I know some truckers that need this knowledge 😆
Anyone have a brilliant idea how to get the dry shampoo black? Instead of brown.
You could try using charcoal.
@@Mandimakes Oooh, that might do it, thanks :)
Dutch cocoa powder. Go to an Amish store and you can find a very dark brown cocoa that you won't find at your local grocery. Practically black
@@michellepatterson3573 I'll try when my charcoal powder runs out. Charcoal powder gets on eeeeeeeverything.
@@chrisandrew6633 I'd imagine!
I used activated charcoal for eyeliner.
saved my bad hair day
Baking soda on hair ? Not sure

Farout you're beautiful and clever!
Why thank you ;)
Can’t you get lice from putting corn starch in yo hair??
Jada Rodriguez I don’t think so since it doesn’t clean your hair
Am on love ewith your accent ❤💃
Or wash it...
And I wash my hair ever week
I don’t really see no difference
smells like carpet
I kept listening "pippeen" oil... I had to check what she meant. Can people speak properly..

Mandi Makes yes please what is the oil you are referring to? thanks
