Love Jack "conducting" the song; At 1:30 looks over at Larry because he hears he has feeling on the organ, just checking if they could go to the next verse. At 2:30, checks in on Larry again because he is on fire in the second solo. At 2:50 Larry is still bringing everything so Jack motions with one hand gesture that they go around again to extend Larry's solo. If I read that right, that's how you make music magic, by keeping a connection and giving each other room to be great and we end up with some great Organ solos in this funky bit.

This is quite common when you have a band that likes to improvise, like Jazz bands. Watch Adam Neely's gig videos; he does that all the time.
You can't stick that in a sequencer and smoke it.
They communicate very well as a group. Also, im sure Jack didn't want to fuck up like the best pop song ever written. Lol.
Larry's solo was so good it got Nataly to move.
It's a funky good time with pompla-pockets. Lol, I made a joke about Jack never bringing Nataly to visit his other band a few videos ago, I never knew they had been thinking about exactly that.

What I like so much about Jack’s keyboard work is he is so spare! The four note figure in this cover is a perfect minimalist lead for Larry and the rest of the band

That Hammond organ is fantastic! It really ‘lifts’ the excellent vocal performance and superb bass, guitar, drums and piano. Love it!

I don't think you guys know about the Scary Goldings (now this is NOT a joke). It's basically the same format as Scary Pockets except the core group of Ryan and Jack also have Larry at the helm and all of their music are original songs as opposed to covers. They are freaking amazing!

I've probably watched this 20x over the last year, it's just fing fun.
This song has been the one song my best friend and I would send back and forth when things got rough between us. So, hearing this again after a couple years of losing them really made me happy.
I am amazed. That turned out really well. I was lucky enough to have grown up with those gigantic bands like Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and so on. Not to talk about Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, and all the other fantastic musicians. Pet Sounds from the Beach Boys was an every time album like Sergeant Pepper and hardly anyone has dared to rewrite these songs. But maybe now is the time!
OMG! This is so... so... just SO, that I LOVE it! This old Boomer always enjoys non-traditional covers of my generation's classics, but this is even more special than that. Thank you!

The instrumental groove is so Pet Sounds. The bass & guitar octave riff, guitar sound is vintage Beach Boys, and melody is kind of "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times". Perfect compliment to God Only Knows. Great arrangement and execution!
