Since a lot of you have been asking, lemme explain why I dislike Suitcase: I just think her storyline is way too melodramatic and I don't find myself interested. I think Suitcase has a very boring personality, and I never found myself relating to her struggle. There isn't some big elaborate reason, I just don't find her very interesting or likable.
Not to mention she basically brought a lot of this on herself- and before anyone comes at me saying I’m "victimblaming", I’d like to remind everyone that A) she joined the alliance VOLUNTARILY, Nickel himself made it clear she’s a pointless addition to him B) she was the one pushing for Balloon to have a position he was tragically unqualified for, costing the Slams the challenge C) in the maze challenge she almost got her alliance killed because MuH bAlLoOn
She's literally the most relatable character. I think a lot of us can relate to feeling helpless in a situation where one of our friends is trying to push our other friends away while being uncertain if they'll eventually get rid of you too.
BTW, hi, I'm Jazzy! I voice Paintbrush. I never saw the DCAS episode (or any of it for that matter), but I genuinely enjoyed the overall analysis on "Truth or Flare". Genuinely my favorite episode I've gotten to voice in since joining the series. I'm happy folks are loving it and you dedicated a video to analyzing it! Keep it up :D

One thing I hate about episode 18 is also that Riya straight up forgot EVERYTHING that happened in the previous episode… After cracking Connor’s bones she should be taunted by guilt, but instead she’s just proud of committing Attempted Murder… again….
The funny thing is that a proofreader on DCAS said that it was 100% intentional to make all of the finalists unlikable. So Jake regressing and Grett's elimination only happened to achieve that goal.
If that's true (and I'm not saying you're lying, I just haven't seen the exact quote myself), that's utterly wild to me since it makes it seem like they don't understand how the audience views these sorts of shows. You're SUPPOSED to want at least *one* of the characters to win. Making eveyrone unlikable only leaves things feeling unsatisfying
The Jake and Ally beef this episode could've been prevented or at least not be as tense if Connor just told Ally that Riya broke the game, but for some reason he didn't. Got to make sure Riya makes the finale no matter what I guess

This is war Riya!!!!! and here you became a tom 2.0 who only opens his mouth at the worst possible moment and you allowed ally to complicate the challenge and you made it clear to her that you didn't want to laugh at all, what do you expect from someone who was left in a cave with a bear, who was betrayed to get Aiden out just because, and who fought Ally physically because she told him to his face that she was only there to see him lose, what did you expect, Connor, for him to give her a hug and start crying for having bothered her in several chapters? but You know what maybe disventure camp likes a toxic Jake who throws tantrums because Connor doesn't take out the person he wants.

Episode 18 was mixed, but the fact that Jake has regressed back to his old self after 18 episodes of development and with only the finale remaining is baffling to me. The sad part is that I’m still rooting for him because he actually did stuff. If Riya doesn’t get redeemed, I want her to win and end up alone, while the rest of the cast becomes better people.

I have a reason for why Ally told Riya. Riya had already used her 3 tazes, which was all she had. She used it once on Connor, and then twice on Ally regardless of whether or not it worked. So ally could reveal her strategy to Riya because she had no knowledge that Jake would Shock her.
I'm not watching season 4 personally, the writers have proven to be completely incompetent. They drag the most uninteresting conflicts while rushing or discarding the few interesting ones. I'm sick of them prioritizing "shocking" plot twists and "expectation subversion." I'm sick of their shipping plots, they're always the same boring tired plot beat by beat. I'm sick of their lack of internal consistency, nothing the characters say or think has any meaning when they contradict themselves next or even within the same episode. I'm sick of the protagonist-centered morality, all the in-universe hypocrisy on display, then the writers claiming their characters are "deep" and "complex." I'm just done.

everything wrong with this episode imo connor not telling ally he lost jakes hair tie and that riya destroyed the game jake being jealous of ally and literally being the exact same as he was in episode 7 trevor kissing derek after being angry at him not even an episode earlier hints of riya feeling remorse for actions but it never leads to anything all it does is semd us mixed messages now the final 3 has no one likeable just 3 fragile egos

I said it before under another video but this episode did disappoint me. I can get over the Connor self sacrifice I guess but it KILLS ME that 1. At this point in the game Ally is STILL falling for Riyas tricks… SOMEHOW DESPITE Connor and Jake telling her this so many times she STILL THINKS Jake would do that. 2. Connor couldn’t take 5-10 seconds to tell Ally “Hey Riya broke it, not Jake…” But no he gives her advice about being the bigger person and not clearing Jakes name. 3. NO ONE brought this up to Jake EVER! and Jake couldn’t even respond when Ally said “that’s for breaking my game” from the shock later on. And it’s just weird to me how Connor is like “THIS IS WAR!” The very next episode “This is too much I quit!” Like wow that was the shortest war ever… 😭😭😭At this point in fine with whatever as long as Riya doesn’t win since all my other favs got the boot so early.

Well no, that implies that it is shocking for an object show to do better than a total drama inspired show. These object shows have been impressive and more creative than most reality tv elimination style shows in general.
@@swiggydswirl330 It's because most objects show are more silly so most stuff doesn't need to be taken accountability, take one of the classics, bfdi, anyone could kill people and die and they would just come back, while in disventure camp stuff like Riya letting Aiden to die and almost paralising Connor 2 times is horrable(and considering his age, he'll probably have leg problems to the rest of his life)
I'm not surprised. I love those type of shows more than the TDI wannabes. Competition shows with a mixture of animated animals, humans, creatures, objects and logos (or just the objects) battling for a prize always interests me more than just humans.
Funny enough both Connor and Lightbulb basically quit at the end for opposite feelings towards the person they have the biggest connection to. Connor quits so that the group have a better chance of making sure Riya doesn’t win. Lightbulb chooses to lie on purpose and stop trying to win so she can go back with Paintbrush because she doesn’t want to be separated from them again. Obviously there are differences both in how they are done and the fan reaction but it’s interesting

The whole not caring thing mentioned at the start is exactly how I felt with this episode as well. The last one was so bad that I just don't care anymore. This show doesn't even deserve the attention of a detailed analysis at this point. Like I said in my comment on the actual episode I am only rooting for Trevor and Emily to get the season cancelled so no one wins. Also I'd love to see more object show content on this channel!

Just a pitch but could you imagine this hypothetical scene. So it’s still coming down between knife and lightbulb whoever is fire can break the ribbon first wins. The same thing happens up to when Paintbrush starts to walk. Well, all the sudden lightbulb calls. “Painty wait”. she looks directly into paintbrushes eyes and says. I love you. Which excels her right to the top breaking the ribbon. This does mean that knife gets eliminated and forth, but whatever. Suitcase, then chooses lightbulb to go To the finale and everything else is most of the same
Trevek is overrated and is a really awful ship. I see Trevor and Derek as best friends tbh and I’m glad someone else feels the same way about this episode. I genuinely don’t care who wins at this point because this season went downhill fast 😭!

At this point I can't even be mad at the characters because the writing is so damn inconsistent, first Ally expecting Jake to forguve and forget and just play a game with her, then Jake's dumb regression into annoying jealousy, then Riya being the absolute worse, the Connor KNOWING it was Riya and saying absoluteky nothing to defend Jake....his only tru allie, then Ally being petty af towards Jake and assuming stuff, then Jake letting Riya win, then Ally and Jake fighting over Connor.........these writers are going to make me go into serious depression.....do they not realize how attached people become to their characters......do they not realize some people (me for example) PAY for a Patreon membership.....that's momey being wasted......all for cheap drama no one asked for

Honestly, id love you to make more object sjow videos! Maybe instead of making weekly DC videos, you can make object shkw videos until DCAS ends, to which you can make a final retrospective video since youre getting tired of repeating yourself. I love all of IIs final 4....except Baseball. He really was kinda there in the no arms alliance. Then when Nickel was eliminated he became overly depressed for a solid 2 or 3 episodes. It just felt like he made it this far so Adam had a character to voice near the end...

Was not expecting a compare and contrast type of video between Disventure Camp All-Stars and Inanimate Insanity. Though it does make sense since they all came out on the same day.
I genuinely want to hear your full thoughts on Inanimate Insanity season 2. This season was my childhood and I'm so happy that it's coming back after so long. so I know that it's not perfect by any means. But I would love to hear your thoughts on this season or maybe even the whole show. Cuz it seems like we have some conflicting opinions. I think suitcase is a pretty good character but for some reason a lot of people really hate her and I just never really understood why. So I would really love a video kind of showing another side of someone's opinion I also find it really funny that you just kind of focus on II for a majority of this video because you're so done with the other show that you just want something good to talk about to lift your spirits
I like Suitcase because of how dramatic a lot of things involving her are, and how she doesn't really end up overcoming a lot of those issues fully. It's also interesting to see how she interacts with others.

The best way I can describe how insufferable these characters and the show in general has become would be the scene from DBZA where Cell is about to go after Android 18 while Vegeta rolls out the red carpet and the only thing stopping him was Krillin, but he smashed the remote that could destroy 18 because he wants, and I quote, "cyber sex." And we, the viewers, are Trunks. We're floating around watching everyone shit the bed and all we can scream into the void is "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!"

He was never my favorite Season 2 character, that was always James. But I still stand by that he's very well written in that season. As of All-Stars, my overall opinion of him as dropped by a lot. His fall from grace wasn't as bad as Jake, Ally, Tom, Ellie, or Riya but he's still far from the man he was in DC2.

Majority of everything wrong with this I think is for the sake of more drama or plots they want to milk or develop…The worst finalists in the show and none of them has shown to deserve to win the money at all…..I honestly rooted for Connor after the last episode but they put our hopes high to lose it at the newest ep😭
I said it before under another video but this episode did disappoint me. I can get over the Connor self sacrifice I guess but it KILLS ME that
1. At this point in the game Ally is STILL falling for Riyas tricks… SOMEHOW DESPITE Connor and Jake telling her this so many times she STILL THINKS Jake would do that.
2. Connor couldn’t take 5-10 seconds to tell Ally “Hey Riya broke it, not Jake…” But no he gives her advice about being the bigger person and not clearing Jakes name.
3. NO ONE brought this up to Jake EVER! and Jake couldn’t even respond when Ally said “that’s for breaking my game” from the shock later on.
And it’s just weird to me how Connor is like “THIS IS WAR!” The very next episode “This is too much I quit!” Like wow that was the shortest war ever…

Well no, that implies that it is shocking for an object show to do better than a total drama inspired show. These object shows have been impressive and more creative than most reality tv elimination style shows in general.
@@swiggydswirl330 It's because most objects show are more silly so most stuff doesn't need to be taken accountability, take one of the classics, bfdi, anyone could kill people and die and they would just come back, while in disventure camp stuff like Riya letting Aiden to die and almost paralising Connor 2 times is horrable(and considering his age, he'll probably have leg problems to the rest of his life)

I'm not surprised. I love those type of shows more than the TDI wannabes. Competition shows with a mixture of animated animals, humans, creatures, objects and logos (or just the objects) battling for a prize always interests me more than just humans.
Funny enough both Connor and Lightbulb basically quit at the end for opposite feelings towards the person they have the biggest connection to. Connor quits so that the group have a better chance of making sure Riya doesn’t win. Lightbulb chooses to lie on purpose and stop trying to win so she can go back with Paintbrush because she doesn’t want to be separated from them again.
Obviously there are differences both in how they are done and the fan reaction but it’s interesting

The whole not caring thing mentioned at the start is exactly how I felt with this episode as well. The last one was so bad that I just don't care anymore. This show doesn't even deserve the attention of a detailed analysis at this point. Like I said in my comment on the actual episode I am only rooting for Trevor and Emily to get the season cancelled so no one wins.

Just a pitch but could you imagine this hypothetical scene. So it’s still coming down between knife and lightbulb whoever is fire can break the ribbon first wins. The same thing happens up to when Paintbrush starts to walk. Well, all the sudden lightbulb calls. “Painty wait”. she looks directly into paintbrushes eyes and says. I love you. Which excels her right to the top breaking the ribbon. This does mean that knife gets eliminated and forth, but whatever. Suitcase, then chooses lightbulb to go To the finale and everything else is most of the same
Trevek is overrated and is a really awful ship. I see Trevor and Derek as best friends tbh and I’m glad someone else feels the same way about this episode. I genuinely don’t care who wins at this point because this season went downhill fast 😭!

At this point I can't even be mad at the characters because the writing is so damn inconsistent, first Ally expecting Jake to forguve and forget and just play a game with her, then Jake's dumb regression into annoying jealousy, then Riya being the absolute worse, the Connor KNOWING it was Riya and saying absoluteky nothing to defend Jake....his only tru allie, then Ally being petty af towards Jake and assuming stuff, then Jake letting Riya win, then Ally and Jake fighting over Connor.........these writers are going to make me go into serious depression.....do they not realize how attached people become to their characters......do they not realize some people (me for example) PAY for a Patreon membership.....that's momey being wasted......all for cheap drama no one asked for

Funny how Object Shows do a better job of the whole competition thing then Disadventure Camp.
Honestly, id love you to make more object sjow videos! Maybe instead of making weekly DC videos, you can make object shkw videos until DCAS ends, to which you can make a final retrospective video since youre getting tired of repeating yourself. Plus, its fun to see a more analytical lens to more lighthearted/cartoony shows

I love all of IIs final 4....except Baseball. He really was kinda there in the no arms alliance. Then when Nickel was eliminated he became overly depressed for a solid 2 or 3 episodes. It just felt like he made it this far so Adam had a character to voice near the end...

Ok watched the DCAS one and I gotta say its mostly true but the Connor is Mid opinion I heavily disagree with. He was probably the most important character throughout the merge and to see him go was super disappointing to me tbh.

This season was my childhood and I'm so happy that it's coming back after so long. so I know that it's not perfect by any means. But I would love to hear your thoughts on this season or maybe even the whole show. Cuz it seems like we have some conflicting opinions. I think suitcase is a pretty good character but for some reason a lot of people really hate her and I just never really understood why. IF CONNOR DIDNT QUIT. he was the only one i liked there 💔💔🙏🏻 but II 15 was amazing, taco and mepads song, the final 4 is just generally good (unlike disventure camp.) only downsides was that my favorites got out, but how they got out kinda made me feel happy it happened? but cant wait for the finale!! ^^
The best way I can describe how insufferable these characters and the show in general has become would be the scene from DBZA where Cell is about to go after Android 18 while Vegeta rolls out the red carpet and the only thing stopping him was Krillin, but he smashed the remote that could destroy 18 because he wants, and I quote, "cyber sex." And we, the viewers, are Trunks. We're floating around watching everyone shit the bed and all we can scream into the void is "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!"

He was never my favorite Season 2 character, that was always James. But I still stand by that he's very well written in that season.
As of All-Stars, my overall opinion of him as dropped by a lot. His fall from grace wasn't as bad as Jake, Ally, Tom, Ellie, or Riya but he's still far from the man he was in DC2.
