I'm confused why it was so funny that he's at the "conservatism" conference. I'm black and I've always been conservative. As a Christian it's really the default. That's been less obvious to black Americans for some reason but is that the joke? I'm confused. I wish Dave would have asked.
Jonathan seems like such a sweet person. Humble Christian man. At best, I'm neutral about celebrities, but if I had a son, I would want him to be like Jonathan.

I stopped watching NBA due to the wokeness in 2019. But when Mr. Isaac initially stated he was against BLM because it was against Christ, I bought his jersey immediately. It hangs in my garage where I workout and is a reminder to act in only things that glorify Christ. Thank you for your commitment to Christ Jonathan.
I grew up as a basketball junkie and played 5 times a week even after college…now at 50, I strayed from most sports years ago given the disdain I have for much of the messages and culture. Having listened to this young gentleman during his famous vaccine response - I was utterly amazed by his conviction and clarity. It was the most PERFECT response that most of us heard. Now, listening to this man expand on his worldview, he has a fan for life. He is easy to root for, not as an athlete, but as a human being.
What an incredibly beautiful man! His heart just spoke to mine. Courage often costs you something, but it can never cost you your relationship with Christ . ❤️

A religious guy is someone who talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk. Isaacs is a man of faith who lives what he believes. That's why he's different. Jesus was not religious. He often opposed the Pharisees. He loved people unconditionally yet never justified their wrong behaviour. He told the truth even when it turned people against him. 'We are more than conquerers through Him who loved us.' Romans 8:37 I pray that you too will be more than a conquerer.
Ideological dogmatic belief which shows up in the forms of religion and the woke cult is not what actual faith in God is. Being honest and truthful with oneself and with others is the real “talisman” to keep you from falling into madness. I left the church when I was a teen because the church I was going to was extremely judgmental and dogmatic. I subscribe to the JBP and Prager philosophical view of faith and God. It’s okay to ask questions, it’s okay to have a personal faith with God that is unique to my understanding of the world. Just be open minded and listen to how others believe in God to see how they live with a life of faith. It’s good to have a bs detector. Blind faith is NOT a good thing. Faith in God isn’t supposed to be blind. It’s supposed to be real and authentic and so is the way you live your life. Living in Truth is living with Faith and being with God. Even if it means going against everything “religious” people say.

You might be surprised how many people "tow the line" who lean conservative. First things first, just because they don't agree with you doesn't mean they are not thinking for themselves, don't fall into that trap. A lot of people simply don't care about politics and their not willing to give up their income or position for something they don't really care about.

I love that this young man is able to be sincere in his beliefs, “talking the talk AND walking the walk”, and how much he trusts and loves God, plus the true maturity and intelligence he obviously possesses while speaking about both his understanding that because of what Jesus did by dying on the cross for us/him, he believes he should also forgive, not look down on others (pun intended!) and secondly, his understanding that the “personal choice” aspect of this vaccine conversation is very important, not just for now but also for the long view of the US as a country, make me admire him even more than I already did!

I didn't know that about Lebron's recent opinion, good to know and to be fair, as much as I deeply resented Lebron's take on America and BLM vs. his silence on China and Hong Kong. FWIW, Jonathan's giving credit where it's due is the right thing to do.

I have to say that I agree with Dave's last comment. I think one thing that Trump showed us is that a layman with no political experience/baggage can make a huge, positive impact in our government.
