Minecraft Java 1.21.4 Built this over an ocean with three slight changes. I added 16 scaffolding to get the kill platform above the clouds when starting from a granite pillar at Y level: 63, I added another layer for the mobs to spawn on on top of the original two for a total of three, and I used trapdoors instead of carpets to prevent spiders from spawning. This thing is amazing! It is a powerhouse for gaining XP, rotten flesh, gunpowder, bones, arrows, and bows, and it frequently drops small quantities of other random items as well. Easy to build and definitely worth the effort!
@zoda778 I don't think so. I built it with plain stone I collected with a silk touch pickaxe. Why not craft that cobbled deep slate into deep slate bricks? Nothing like being a little extra.

dont forget to put trapdoors on the surfaces where the mobs spawn in a certain way so spiders dont spawn and reduce the rate of mobs falling. sometimes they get stuck trying to climb up and never get down to the bottom. of course maybe you need string or spider eyes for something so if you need them you can skip this step.

Problem with exploding creepers: how to fix it!: you have to stand on the end of the block because when you stand in the middle or on the other side the skeletons try to hit you you can't see it but it happens. when they hit the creeper it explodes. But just in case you can put stone slabs on the hoppers and instead of stone walls at the bottom of the mob grinder you can change them to obsidian blocks

Hi guys! I built this in bedrock, and it works! I did the optional carpet, but I can tell that spiders are still spawning. Any tips to help with stopping spiders from spawning? Thanks for the video
On bedrock carpets dont work, you need slabs
Very nice tutorial this farm working❤
thanks, it works perfectly on 1.21.3 java
This is like gunpowder farm too👍
I have this problem where it is very slow is it because it isnt in the air like yours or is it because it is bugged on 1.21.4
i built like this on air y 250 but its very slow as well iim on 1.21.4
it’s decent. for late game
Works well and is slightly quicker than quartz mining. And I can be lazy AND can get mob loot too.
If I want spiders, do I do a 3x3 funnel and omit the carpets? Thx!
Do you need to place carpet each floor to prevent spider spawning ?
I just built the whole top part onto a basic killing room, but I'm getting 1 mob like every 5 minutes
Will more floors = more mobs? Or is there a cap or distance restriction
there is a mob cap, but more floors will be more efficient
can u tell me the y level cause I cannot find bamboo biome anywhere in the server to make scaffolding
I’m made mine 3 blocks wide and put a turtle egg in the middle so zombi s automatically fall you can use a villager also but turtle egg is easier
Does this farm work on bedrock edition? Also is it fine if i just build this on up of a high place like mountain or something? Some other dudes saying that you need to build this on an ocean to work well
Love the Tutorial its very helpful
