Please remember my little family in prayer, my Husband is having surgery Thursday, please pray for an easy successful surgery and quick healing and this stops the pain. As well as myself and our 3 kiddos. Thank you so much prayers for all of you as well.
Oh that sweet little Mazzy! I would never know that she’s overcome so much. That speaks loudly about mom and dad. I adore that sweet young lady, as I do her rambunctious brothers. I feel blessed that you give us the option to watch them stretch their little wings and grow. Y’all have a blessed day!
What a beautiful story. Mazzy was a gorgeous baby and has turned into a beautiful young lady. I agree...not everyone is into the same thing. God made us individuals for a reason. I love how you explained what you do with your kids chore wise on the farm and it makes perfect sense. You guys do an amazing job raising your children and that its in a Christian home is a bonus. Love watching you all. ❤
Gary and Cassie, I think what Chores your children do at home , Is up to you the Parents. Viewers on your channel should respect how you raise your sweet children, and the chores you give them. God Bless the Walker Family. ❤
I have been following your channel for quite a few years now, and I have some experience with children who have overcome obstacles similar to Mazzie I have cheered her on. She is a champion to me and I’ve seen her absolutely blossom in the last couple of years. You guys have a very precious daughter and you are the perfect parents for her.
Cassie, wood heat drys out the air which causes your sinuses to dry out. This causes runny noses. Try putting a pot of water on the stove to help with the irritation and moisturizing the air. I had the same problem.
You are right! Our other home we had an old fashion wood burning stove and we kept an iron kettle on top of it to keep moisture in the house. We had to downsize when my husband developed cancer we had to downsize, so mowing, cleaning the house was more manageable for me because I have a condition for thirty years where walking and standing is very difficult for me. The older I get the worse it gets. Walking very very very difficult for me. Miss our other home but it is what it is.
I love hearing about adoptions, and your story in particular. My daughter is adopted at 7 months, and I have a wonderful story. She is in touch with her biological aunt and nieces . She is almost 53 and she is my best friend. Love and prayers from NC
When I first started watching, I didn't know about the adoption. I observed that she had special needs or fears. What I did notice was the grace in the ways you handled her and not "making" her but waiting until she was ready on her own. I remember about the day she wanted to have her ears pierced. You had no idea whether it would happen that day or not. I admire your patience in helping her overcome her fears and encouraging her to pursue her interests. The violin, the recital, the choir and singing a solo part; she has come a long way! God certainly matched her up to the right parents.
This is so beautiful, you inspired us to get foster care certified. We have had two little guys for 8 months and are hoping to adopt them. It is such a rollercoaster of emotions. You guys are so amazing!! ❤️
Sweet little Mazzie was stealing hearts from day one and it’s easy to see why. She has grown to be a confident beautiful young lady. God Blessed you all when Mazzie joined your family . Thanks for sharing her story.
We are the same with our farm- not all of our kids enjoy the work 😂 I can relate so hard to this!! Some prefer to stay inside and do the dishes instead of help with the animals
You are ALL amazing. To give these kids the opportunity to go their own way (as far as interests, etc) and to bring them up in the way they should go (Jesus). No-one could ask for more.
Your daughter is a very lovely young lady. And you guys are very up kind of people. You both have a good work ethic and whats right is right kind of a attitude. You believe in your community and give to society. My Dad always used the phrase " standup kind of people". Everyone of your children are individuals and you guys let them be them but with the understanding you guys are a family.
Oh my goodness!!! What a little doll she is. So wonderful to hear her story. So grateful that you love and appreciate who she is and what she enjoys. Such a wonderful blessing for your family. Love ya Mazzie ❤️
Mazzie has come a long way. She is herself. She is a girl and is happy. That's all that matters. Thanks for sharing her story.. Blessings to Catching up with the Walkers 🙏🫶🙏🫶.
Mazzy has come a long way since you've been on YT! She has come out of her shell and it's been a joy to watch her grow up!. Prayers for Brandon🙏🏼 TFS! Blessings to you my friend. Have a blessed week. ✝🙏🏼💕
Thank you for taking her and making her your own. It's hard enough raising children period. You chose to step up and make a wonderful life for Mazzie. I think she has the backup that will help her achieve all the things God has planned for her. You have a right to be emotional.
The saying is: She marches to the beat of her own drum. NICU is a special place. It comes with a lot of development after they leave there. That’s great that you had that much support. Thanks for sharing this. She’s even more precious than ever. My child was in NICU.
Just saw your piece about how Maxie became a part of your family! I In 2012 I became guardian for 8 of my grandchildren. (I was 66). It’s been a struggle with loosing my parents my husbands mother and 5 years ago my wonderful husband! I am now mother of 2 children who are 12 and 16, it’s been a trip. Pray for you daily. My youngest is the age of Ranger and has the sensory problem Maxie deals with so I truly understand. He is a girly boy who likes makeup and jewelry pops forgot the fake nails. But he has actually shared a Reese cup with a wild buck deer in our front yard. Loves being creative. Keep up the good work. God bless all of yoy
That was a wonderful adoption story. My youngest sister and her husband are currently adopting a beautiful little girl. It's an open adoption, but because of state law, it takes 6 months to get finalized. They have had her right from the moment she was born. Adoption can be so beautiful! 💖💖💖
On my way to rehab. Going well. Anyone who would speak ill of mazzy, is out of the boundaries in my opinion. She's a lovely little Girl. And you are exceptional parents! Stay Blessed!
We are the same with age requirements. We felt bad to say no to certain situations but it has really worked out perfectly because we set those age requirements. ❤
Ranger sure was a cute little guy. I've always have said Mazzy was adorable and precious but you can tell Mazzy is a girly girl with a kind heart and a sweet spirit. There's nothing wrong with Mazzy she has her own interest and it's not farming it's just being Mazzy❤ I have 4 biological children and 3 adopted their grown and have children they all have different personalities and interests it makes them who they are. Thanks for sharing Mazzy story.❤
I loved that you shared Mazzy’s story, she is such a sweet girl, and the most adorable baby, she is super lucky that you chose her to be apart of such an amazing family, she is for sure loved beyond words as are the boys. Thank You Cassie and Gary for all you do!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗
Mazzy is perfect. I still cannot believe that her and Ransom were ever adopted, they fit in their looks so much of both of you. Absolutely GOD had HIS hand and love into your situation. Beautiful story, and Mazzy, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE WONDERFUL DAUGHTER THEY CHOSE AND LOVE, just as GOD LOVES YOU EVEN MORE than anyone can even believe or understand. We love you too.
Isn’t it great that kids can be so different, even when they grow up in the same environment. It is fantastic that they can explore who they are and are not forced into something. Mazzie is a very artsy young lady!
I’m so happy to hear Mazzy’s story. For 5 years I was a Cuddler in the NICU. I saw many drug babies, with severe problems. These babies were in adoptable. They end in homes where they live their lives out. When I would see a baby being adopted I was so happy & pray for them and the baby. We never got to know how these babies were doing. That’s why I’m thrilled to hear about Mazzy. We are all different no matter if we are adopted or not. God bless you both ! ❤🙏
Here in North Carolina, we say the same thing about our weather because one day it can be short sleeves and sandals and the next is heavy coats and boots.
She was a beautiful baby that is growing into a Beautiful young Lady! It is wonderful that God seen fit to find her the perfect family for her. You two are so Loving and Caring!
Wonderful story about Mazzy. She is so artistic and as she grows up you can see how she loves her music and all the crafty girly things. All children are different and should be allowed follow their passions. I’m so glad she found such amazing parents. ❤️
I had no clue Mazzy and Ransom was adopted, I thought you had all three children that shows y'all are such awesome parents I love that you were able to give them a great great life and be with a lovely family God bless all of you, love you guys give Mazzy and the boys a big hug for me
Messi, such a pretty little girl and she is so talented who know my goodness her drawing abilities, her musical talent taking up violin it’s not what every child wants to do and she loves it and she’s dedicated to it. I love that when children want to take up instruments and learn and wants to do all these Curriculums that are normally what a kid would want. She’s interested in cooking she wants to learn to sew things. She’s such a sweet girl.❤❤❤
We lived on a farm from when I was in 3rd grade through 7th grade. I was forced to be outside to help 2 of my brothers do chores and work in the garden. Both of our parents left for work at 6:15 a.m. My older sister did all the house work and took care of my youngest sister. My younger brother was always at our grandparents because he was sick so much. Today I hate being outside and don’t want anything to do with animals.
My Pastor and his wife fostered to adopt. Their oldest was adopted. Just before Thanksgiving a few years ago on a Sunday morning they got 3 young girls with the oldest one 3 years old. As a church family we rallied around to get everything they needed. They have now adopted them along with their little brother. It's a pleasure and joy to watch them grow since they are friends and neighbors.
I love your story. I'm a 63 yo great grandma helping my daughter raise our 3 yo grandson with CAS. He is non verbal and been in my home for almost 3 yrs. He is the light of our lives. It's a challenge dealing daily with his disability. He is so smart that we pray daily that he will be able to learn to take through the intense speech and oc therapy. God is good and has a plan for our precious boy.
Mazzy is adorable. From a former foster mom and adopted two of my fosters, thank you for having a giving and loving heart to help our children. Stay blessed y'all 😊
I got my son when he was 2 weeks old. I actually found him. I was a missionary in Ghana. Someone had tied a cloth around his neck, yied his hands behind him, and put him head first down inside a plastic bag, and left him out in the bush in full sun. I thought he was dead when i found him. I tore the bag open and picked him up and he sneezed and started crying. He was severely dehydrated. The heat and dehydration caused him to have a number of strokes, causing him to have multiple disabilities. I fully understand the roller coaster ride. Until the day that certificate of adoption was in my hand, i lived in fear that at any time, he would be taken away. He is now 19 years old and the joy of my heart. It's a lot of responsibility as an older single woman to take on raising a special needs child, but oh what a blessing he has been in my life. I'm so proud of the young man he is today.
❤️🙏 i was in foster home myself 8 yrs old until 18 yrs old I wish i could have been adopted You both are a blessing wonderful beautiful Christian family 🙏❤️
My aunt fostered babies for a time, but found it took it's toll emotionally. She started baby books and kept a journal for each one she had. The longest she had a newborn was 6 months, I think the shortest was about 3 months. Several didn't want a thing to do with her, she didn't get any follow up on them and they barely acknowledged the baby book (with pictures) and daily journal. Two families kept in touch and she was invited to their graduation and later wedding. The parents were so grateful for the journals. One little girl had horrible colic. She was adopted like a week after she finally started sleeping through the night. :-) Go figure!
My daughter was a single woman nearing her 40's and wanted to be a mother. She did foster to adopt. So she went through similar paper work and training. We went through Texas foster system. We got our precious girl just after her second birthday. She had developmental delays. She was non-verbal and verbal delays. But she caught up quickly. She is in second grade. She had straight A's last 6 was. Once she started talking she never quit. She is lovable 💖 and cuddalble. Look into the experience. It is wonderful.
Thank you for sharing your daughter’s beautiful back story!☦️🥰and thank you God, that we are all so unique. What fun, this makes our lives. ☦️👩🏻🦳‼️Be blest y’all. carla ohio
Loved the video of Mazzie. So cute!! Please keep my sonnin law Zach in prayers. He's in ICU and can't figure out what's wrong. He buried his maternal grandfather on Saturday. Sunday he took a shower as he said he didn't feel well. He came out and started making no sense. They took him to hospital in Joplin. He collapsed in the waiting room after yelling and seizures on the floor. Came out fighting and making no sense. He was sedated so much had to intubate him. They reduced the sedation and got the tube out Monday. He's still combative if someone wakes him but my daughter explains everything to him, he calms down Tests all are fine so far. He's lost weight without trying. Not sure what is wrong. They have a 2 year old daughter.
Beautiful story of a lovely little girl named Mazzy. Young little girls is like watching wildflowers staring to bloom. The surprise beauty that appears in front of your eyes. Hopelynn still talked about the first time she met Mazzy at the Sulphur Oklahoma meet up. Hopelynn only remembers the windmills that we saw on our way in town, playing with Mazzy, ( but she can never remember her name, but points her out in your videos and playing soccer with Bo from Morehead Homestead. Little girls are special to this world. 🤟🏼
I think Mazzy and I are kindred spirits. I grew up in a small town in West Virginia. Love music and the comforts of home, but lived in a city of 24000 while teaching for 31 years.
We used to have those kind of blankets too. I had one and two of my children had one. They're so great in winter. You can walk around the house in them and stay warm.
Mazzie is a special little girl. We All are so different in this world and need each of us in it. Its wonderful you both recognize that but you already do. 😊 God Bless you all
Mazzy is lucky to have you as her parents who have honored her for herself. I am so glad she has had the opportunity to play the violin. Music is an important to our development.
I love that you let her be an individual. I couldn't imagine Mazzy being any other way. She is perfect just the way she is. 🥰Thank you for telling the story of how she came to be part of the family. I seriously could never do it. Knowing for 2 years of loving her that someone could possibly come in and take her back at any time. I am so glad that it worked out for you and for her. ❤❤
We have the same saying in Arkansas about the weather. If you don’t like the weather it will change. It’s been 11-15 degrees High today is 28 tomorrow will be high 40’s.
I love your throw/shawl. I would love to have one just like that. Gary passed his sickness on to you. Or you have allergies too. With the weather like it is we are sure to get sick. I’m in north Louisiana and we are heavy laden with sleet. Thank goodness it wasn’t rain that froze in our trees. We don’t have any power outages so we were blessed. But it did close our town down except for essential workers. And schools are closed of course. All of y’all’s children are blessings with different personalities. Until just a while back when y’all started on the subject of adoption I had no idea y’all had children that were adopted. Y’all seem just like a family that came about in the traditional way. You and Gary are very good parents. Any child should be so blessed to be a part of your family and I know y’all probably feel like y’all are the blessed ones to have her!
Raising children is a long bumpy road with hills and valleys that we overcome with love and patience from our God of love and patience. Bless you Mazzy.
Oh my goodness Mazxie was Cute. Talk about cuteness overload! I have always felt she was special. I love the way you described her. I can see how she would rather just come with one of you .
What a beautiful story to share. What beautiful babies. I love how you explained Mazzy's story without putting labels. My grandson has a lot of the same issues and school put labels on him and all he kept saying was " they call me names"! He is now home schooled. The trouble with that is he is not socialized. He is not taken to the store, taken to sisters school , etc. for fear he will act up. I don't agree but I am just grandma. I love your family. From one Cherokee to another. God bless you all.
Mazzy's Story was so sweet !! she was a beautiful baby girl and now she is a beautiful young lady ! You and Gary and God have done a wonderful job with her !!! She reminds me of my first daughter so much !! I love her Girlyness !!!!!!!! Tell her we love her so much and we are very proud of her !

Awe, Ranger looked so cute back then. Mazzie a little doll! Thank you for sharing that story!
Mazie was and IS such an adorable little princess! I’m sorry for misspelling her name. 😊
No worries! It’s a unique name
Mazzie is like a beautiful flower that will bloom in her on time with God's love and you all guiding in the right directions.

Encouraging a child to “March to her own drummer” is the sign of true parental love.

Amazing story on Mazzy's life she is so very precious and anyone who can say negative things about a child says a lot about that person.

It does take a toll.. it is worth it though
My youngest grandson is adopted. We celebrate yearly how lucky we are to have him in our lives.
Wonderful story ❤️
Thanks for sharing Mazzy’s story, what a beautiful little girl. Truly a blessing for your family. Love and prayers 😇💜
In South Louisiana it’s 10 with wind chill . Not used to this cold cold weather
The confidence Mazzy has grown since the start of this travel is truly amazing! She should be so proud of herself as I know her mom and dad are!
Going to -15 tonight. Already calling lots of school off for tomorrow . Stay warm everyone

What an awesome family you are. Love you guys.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Loved seeing how your daughter came into your lives and really appreciated that picture of Papa and your dad in the video. Missing everyone so much.
Thank you so much!
Thank- You for sharing Mazzy's story with all of us. She's one special little girl and both you and she blessed to have each other.❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful story of a lovely little girl named Mazzy. 🤟🏼
❤ That’s awesome!
A dear friend of mine passed away yesterday Morning ,please pray for her Family 🙏💜🙏
I think Mazzy and I are kindred spirits. I grew up in a small town in West Virginia. Love music and the comforts of home, but lived in a city of 24000 while teaching for 31 years.
Those pictures are so sweet 😭
I like Mazzys adoption story. Prayers for Brandon
Follow your arrow, Mazzy girl!!🤍
Mazzi is awesome just as she is!!!!! I love how she plays the violin, she is smart, very bright! She is her own person!!! Noodle bless her!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My husband and I adopted a baby boy many years ago.
My baby turned 40 a few days ago. God bless y'all.
She was a little cutie. She is growing into a beautiful young lady.
Prayers for anyone who needs them and for Brandon at Eddy family farm 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love how you embrace who God has made each of your kids to be.
It is so lovely to hear parents talk about their children with such love, understanding and truth. 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
