      I get that a lot. I broke a metatarsal bone some years ago and was walking with a stick for a while. I got it even worse then :-)

    Can you please do a video about all the crossings ( decussations) of the CNS I cant find any reference where they list all of them so I can study it clearly and actually understand it
    Its kinda confusing .
    Love your videos

    • @SamWebster
      @SamWebster  6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      OK. There are commissures and decussations, and I can talk about how neuronal fibres cross from one side of the body to the other between the brain, spinal cord and spinal nerves. I've been meaning to build a guide to which (and where) cranial nerves cross over and turn something crazy complicated into something useful, but that's a long term project. Thanks!

    Sir a clarification... Palatoglossus muscle is innervated by Cranial root of accessory via pharyngeal plexus. You said Vagus... which one is right?

    • @_sophieha
      @_sophieha 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I know that palatoglossus muscle is of pharyngeal arch 4, which is innervated by the vagus nerve, but some say vagus and accessory nerve so I guess both can be right

    Good day. About 6 weeks ago I started getting pins and needles in my tongue. The following day, the left side of my tongue was swollen and twisted to the right. MRI, Lumber punches and MANY account later, Dr's want to cut to check for cancer. I really need advice as I don't believe it is cancer, I believe it is a nerve problem. I cannot talk properly, and I have had blinding headaches ever since this happened. Regards. Terry.

    • @SamWebster
      @SamWebster  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry Terry, I can't advise on this sort of thing. One reason we teach about cranial nerve anatomy and tests is because tumours compress nerves, giving nerve symptoms. Best of luck, buddy.

    Do you have any videos about tongue tie? In particular whether an infant would feel pain when a frenulum is snipped? What would be the structural changes when a tongue tie is apparent and how has a tongue tie happened e.g. at what embryological stage of development? Cheers

    I have a coworker who has is a recovery brain injury. She is unable to taste the food on the right side of her tongue. Her brain injury was also on the right side. Is there anything she can do repaire her tongue? She also has a hypersensitivity to seasoning taste.

    I had a partial glossectomy in 2017 for cancer. My tongue has always been very rough and painful. A lot of nerve damage. I now have a lump feeling I. My throat I assume this is due to the nerve damage
