Absolutely love the Lark! Had an opportunity back in 2000 to buy a 1963 Studebaker Lark VIII Convertible for $9200.00 and I regret that I passed it up! It was metallic red with a new old stock black roof, two tone red and black vinyl interior with factory air! I had just purchased a new Volkswagen a few months earlier and I would have had to sell it for a loss in order to buy the Lark! Instead I passed on it like a fool! Every time I see a Studebaker I remember that convertible. Wish I had it!
Amazing transformation! I'm glad you stuck with light blue, it suits this car, but I agree the shade you chose is better than the crayon-box blue it was.
My uncle had a large collection of cars by various makers, and as I recall this was one of them. The color you have painted it is very close to my memory of it.
Always loved Studebaker’s. My grandfather had many Studebaker’s through out the fifty’s which inspired me to acquire one for myself. Love what you did with this one and the color looks great. Keep up the good work.
Wow, I love that color. I'm a huge Studebaker fan. I have a 1949 Studebaker truck. They are very reliable vehicles, and well built. Studebaker had some pretty unique design features like the retractable rear section of roof on the Lark Wagonaire. Excellent work! 👍
Only just discovered this channel, and have to say you have a fantastic presentation style - straight to the point, no-nonsense style and not trying oh so hard to be funny like some 'other' restoration channels I'm subbed to! Awesome work, I guess I have a lot ov catching up to do now!
Thank god.... already thought my TH-cam is broken.... saw the video yesterday and then it was gone.... close call.... :) thank you for another amazing job!
I had one of these...that roof that slid back stuck with me all my life. I even had a real 56 Chevrolet Nomad which roof was originally designed to telescope in like this lark...The only thing I have left is a blown 57 Chevy that you can see on my channel
Once again, another wonderful restoration. I have the pleasure of owning two of these, one in this blue and one in yellow that are in pristine condition. I also have one that resembles the one you restored... they are great little cars. Keep up the amazing work, I look forward to your next restoration/customization.
Outstanding work I absolutely love the color and the details you did to the car. The color was perfect for that station wagon. Tremendous work one of your best to date.
I can now hear your narrative. Thank you for turning down the background music. The color is classic. Detail looks good. Nice restoration. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Keith, that's what I get for rushing yesterday.. Danny messaged me so I deleted it straight away 😎 But I was out of the house so re upload had to wait until today. Thanks for watching (again 😊)
LOL, quite amazing! The upside of Matchbox being so hugely popular in the 1960s is that these are rather easy to acquire, there are all sorts of reproduction parts to fill in the missing bits, and online resources like Matchbox Garage. Although I do think that Studebaker did have a blue color like the one that was originally used, I agree that the dull pale green is a very appropriate artistic detour. For me, if I want to restore a car, it is as different and custom as I can make it. Well done!!!
This is what i like to call a wonderful piece of art my friend, beautiful work what you have done with the stud, love the little extras you add to the car, (tail lights front lights etc) congrats an excelent work!!
Thanks Rob for showing the products you use.
Good ol' Studebaker. That color really works.
night and day change turned out great
Fantastic transformation
Nice color choice. Awesome restoration.
Beautiful Station Wagon!
Beautiful paint job Rob
That turned out beautiful.
Brilliant result. I think it's great you add those details because I'm sure Matchbox would have done the same but they had to consider the cost.
Rob that turned out Brileant great work looks great.
Colour excellent. Great job.
Really sweet Stude! It's a casting begging for the details to be brought out and you absolutely nailed it.
I love the extra touch you put your restorations.

Beautiful Rob. That color fits the car perfectly, given its era.

I had this exact car. It was my favorite Matchbox car. What a nice job you did.
Man, that thing looks brand new, I love your restoration + idea. It’s the perfect balance of original and custom. Keep em coming.

My Dad owned a green Studebaker Wagonaire when I was a kid. You did a great job on it.
Absolutely fantastic restoration
Hi Rob. Amazing transformation. I have one of those cars, but the little sliding roof on the back is bare metal. It looks good your way though.
Nicely done. Your twist on the original is most welcome.
Very good job!
It certainly looks better than the original Rob, very tidy job. That Brush Magic looks like useful stuff.
Nice I,d love to add her to my collection.
It turned out really nice 👍👍😊
Nice Restoration ,like the pick usage which i use also myself .Color choice i like also the model is saved for another day ......
Great job
That paint is really accurate for the era... Wish the interior was cream instead of a bright white, but still looks great with it
I like how it turned out im a big fan of wagons and the color was perfect for that wagon it matched the time period just great loved it
Excellent restoration Studebaker Lark Very cool 👏👏👏👏👏
love it, love it, another great job. Turned out to be a nice little wagon.
Great looking car. The red in the rear end made me think of Pulp Fiction and needing a clean up crew to clean up someone's messy ending.
Nicely done TH-cam has mucked up my feeds but now have been able to catch up on your work
