The church is the body of Christ and individually all genuine believers are members of Christ's body. When I started drinking I didn't even knew that there exist an Act prohibiting alcohol consumption.

Churches should focus on their own affairs. They can guide and advise their members not to sell or consume alcohol, but they should refrain from trying to control the entire state

We the people is the church and the church is the people, without people's support church cant do a thing. So dear elected members we elected you to hear people's voice and legislate laws so don't listen to NBCC. Times have changed, people doesn't like to be dictate what we should drink, eat or wear. Nagas being mostly educated knows how to take care of ourself. One thing our churches can do is influence people to come to spiritual side and may be people may slowly leave those bad habits.
