- The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) has warned Arambai Tenggol about mistreating Christians in Manipur. Since the Meitei-Kuki-Zo conflict began last May, the NSCN-IM has stayed neutral but closely monitored events. They accused Arambai Tenggol of holding extreme views and practicing violent extremism, threatening peace and tolerance. The NSCN-IM stated they would protect Christians in Manipur, highlighting Arambai Tenggol's significant hostility towards them.

The warning notice to Arambai Tengol is not a challenge, it is a message to Arambai tengol to act tactfully in dealing with the conflicts in manipur. There are few members of Arambai tengol acting in their own interest rather than following higher instructions.
The NSCN IM and Arambai Tengol should settled their misunderstanding cordially.
As long as the person is not kuki or having any affiliations with kuki they can stay with meiteis nothing will happen... No structures, buildings or churches will be touched as long as it doesn't belong to kuki 😊

It is in fact not a religious conflict. There are a lot of reasons behind the conflict narrated from both sides and it has been debated in the state as well national level. Actually, the conflict broke out on the 3rd of May, 2023 in Churachandpur (Kuki dominated districts) and later extended to Torbung, a small village near Churachandpur where meiteis are the minorities. The Rally of the 3rd May in Churachandpur turned into a hostile crowd among them some were holding AK-47 rifles. The meitei villagers from Bishnupur fled to Imphal (capital of Manipur)l because they were threatened to leave the places and hundreds of houses, were destroyed and burnt down. On the other hand, kukis fled from Imphal vice versa incidents happen . Later the conflict continued spreading to many places in Imphal. Come, see, observe and find out the root cause of this very unfortunate conflict.

10 Temples destroyed cannot be compared with 350 Churches burning down. To setup a Temple will not cost a Lakh where as to built one Church will cost not less than 50 lakhs. The mentality of comparing a worshipping building to its outlay tells you are just a namesake Christian. Then, it's not surprise that you burn other houses. Yes you are right that it's a land issue becos ,refugees from Myanmar flooded in Manipur and these illegal kuki refugees started setting up houses and poppy plantation in reserved forest area. In the beginning the Arambai group targetted the Christians by burning many Churches more than 300+ and some churches belong to Meitei and Nagas they burnt down knowingly or unknowingly I didn't know but I was there in Imphal and we tried to escape but the Meiteis blocked all the highway thinking that the war was between tribals and Meiteis and some people including volunteers and Meira paibis said that it was the right time to chase away all the haos(tribals) from Manipur so we stucked in Imphal and stayed for weeks and everything changed after some days and it turned into full scale war between Kuki and Meiteis so I can say that at present Meitei and Naga Christians are not in this war and it's Kuki vs Meitei war it's just a precaution given to Arambai not to repeat

I don't know who started first Kuki or Meitei but as a witness I can confirm that Meiteis volunteers targetted all the tribals in the beginning after 4th May and even some churches burned down by the volunteers belong to Nagas and Meiteis but that was in the beginning after some days volunteers came to know that the war was between Kukis and Meiteis and not tribals vs Meiteis and off course there were some Meitei educated volunteers who saved us by saying to the crowd not to attack non Kukis I still have the video footage where some Meitei said chase all the tribals away from Manipur and bring back the old culture like Sanamahi one women shouted hao sing hatlo tanthokhro and during that time we didn't go out of rooms for some days for safety but that was in the beginning not now....now it's between Kukis and Meiteis and we Nagas are neutral community it would be wise of us not to side with any community but we will try our best to bring peace between Kukis and Meiteis violence is not the solution 🙏

But there is something citizens should know that meitei Christians(249 out of 360 churches are of meitei Christians) were targeted by their own community which is unrelated with the present conflict. They targeted them in the name of reviving and promoting their own religion and socio cultural values. They can promote preserve and revive their own religion/s. But why should they target Christians of their own community? This clearly shows their hidden intention. Many meitei Christians are not allowed to rebuild their churches and have normal church services or fellowships. This thing cannot be folded and hided or overlooked. Freedom of religion should be there on ground reality and not in speech or paper. This is needed to be surveyed by Government agencies or police. We need peace and love in our society.

However, the rise of Biren Singh and Arambai has fueled hatred between Meitei and Kuki communities. It's crucial to remember our harmonious past before their influence.
We acknowledge the poppy plantation issue in Kuki areas and Kuki leaders are also taking high efforts to combat it.
Illegal immigration is a minor concern with only few thousand and you will also see few Nagas and Meitei are also moving to Manipur after Independence , and shouldn't be used to label all Kuki as illegal immigrants. There is other solution to combat this without hating the whole community.
