    I feel in love with jamaican food after I spent alot of time there in my teens and twenties. I found your channel and been wanting to try many of your recipes. Now I live in Sweden and find it hard to find the ingredients u use in the supermarket like the Jamaican Valley spices and the browning. Do u have any tips of how I can substitute them things? Thanks!🙂

    • @AuthenticPlantbasedEats
      @AuthenticPlantbasedEats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can use any all purpose seasoning. You can substitute the browning with dark soy sauce( be mindful of the salt content). I also have a recipe on how to make your own browning.

      Hi dear and you’re welcome!
      I shared a browning recipe about a month ago. A great substitute would be dark soy sauce.

    Hi, should the tofu be used frozen or should it be thawed?

    • @AuthenticPlantbasedEats
      @AuthenticPlantbasedEats  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Nicole Johnson Hi! For this recipe there’s no need to freeze the tofu. It should be stored in the refrigerator but once you’re ready to use it just drain liquid, pat dry and use as is.

  • @candifeperchment7598

    Can I refrigerate leftovers? Not sure if that works for tofu

  • @RemydaOne
    @RemydaOne 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    What if it’s just you alone how do you store the remainder if you don’t want to make all at once

    • @AuthenticPlantbasedEats
      @AuthenticPlantbasedEats  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can do one of two things: before you season the tofu, cut what you need and store the rest in you refrigerator in a sealed container or season the entire pack use what you need then store the rest in you refrigerator as well( I would suggest no more than two days for the seasoned tofu).

      Olive oil has a low flash point and burns when used to fry. Maybe corn or veg or canola oil works???

      Lol, just make sure the oil hot before frying the tofu if not they will stick to the pot and break or crumbled as you mentioned. Scrambled tofu nice still😄, but try again and I hope they turn out ok.
