Oh my gosh this is soo easy compared to all the steps I've been seeing for this look! And I can't believe how well the eyeshadow worked! 😱 I have tons of makeup so I'm gonna go digging thru my eyeshadow stash now - super excited I don't have to buy chrome powder!!😅 one question I've had tho - since you only flash cured the first coat, do you have to finish curing that or is the second coat cure enough to take care of it? Did you use a no wipe base/top coat or is it regular gel base/top that is a little sticky after curing and you have to wipe off? I see everyone using a non wipe top coat with this trend, but I only have a regular gel top coat.
Hi I love this idea! I tried it with a nyx shadow palette and my regular Polygel nail routine. I applied the shadow on top of the top coat with my finger tip while it was still tacky. That was fine. But then when I put the 2nd top coat on and cured it it got a really strange texture. Wondering if the top coat is reacting with my shadow? Or would I need a specific type of top coat? I love the look so want to trouble shoot this! Thanks in advance 💞
Okayyy wow 😍😍i got a girls day out tuesday coming and i wanna do my nails .im definitely doing this and i also didnt know you can use eyeshadow on nails like that on tacky nail polish .but my mom has the cream colour pearl nail polish so imma use that with a nude ish type brown as base .excited to try .hi from the Caribbean Trinidad 🇹🇹 😊
I imagine it would give a pearlescent effect to any dip powder shade! I feel like the possibilities are endless 🫶🏻 I would absolutely say other eye shadows would work so long as they had a shimmer/highlighter effect too!

You can apply nail polish on top of dip powder too if you wanted 🫶🏻 I don’t believe a polish top coat could chrome like this BUT I have been seeing lots of nail polish accounts on IG doing the Hailey Bieber trend with just polishes and no chrome. Lovefreshpaint is an account I follow on IG and she just shared a nail polish combo that was pretty close!

How long did these last on your nails? Did they chip or dull at all?

Unfortunately no because your finger or the little sponge would just get glued to it 😢
