Your childlike excitement when you thought the stick insects were completely harmless fills me will immense joy. Though the female at least doesn't seem too bothered to climb you like you are a tree.
The way you are so personal with all of your creatures is so lovely. Your videos are a true treat. I find myself laughing and having a great time with you as you interact with your spiders and other insects. Thank you for the great content!
Your videos have completely helped my fear of spiders, and well bugs in general! Your videos are so funny, interesting, and very "to the point". I never had an interest in tarantulas, but I'm hooked!😃👍💙
I adore how well you handle all the different critters you are sent/get. I cannot wait to see the hamsters setup too. Thank you for the steady uploads. I miss my Tarantula and this is kinda a way for me too see someone who actively seems to have a similar love for these critters and shows them the respect they deserve.
SWEET new additions, my friend! Assassin bugs are badass! I've never had any myself, but I've wanted to get some for a while now. Stick insects are native to my area (the ones that literally look like a walking stick) and some of them get huge. Like, six, seven inches long. Another cool animal you might look into if you've never had any are tailless whip scorpions. I HAVE had those before, and they're pretty sweet!
Damn those were cool, so cute to see how happy the stick insects made you, and the voices you were making! Shame they aren't actually harmless! Also 63k oh my goodness you're growing so fast, well deserved! Thanks for another great video, keep up the good work!
DarkDen, you are one of my most favorite TH-camr, not only are your videos amazing and you got me into tarantulas, no matter what the topic of the video is, your personality always makes it way better. Don't stop what your doing.
I like your attidude on this video! It really make my day happy!! Congrats on having so much exotic animals! I hope this channel will grow mor and reach 1 million subscribers
can you please do a roach care video? I will be getting my first tarantula in about a month and I would like to know how you care for your roatches and where you got your roach colony. thanks!
Those stick insects are so cool... I may very well have to look up the care of those things and get some. I can imagine they make quite an interesting display animal and won't take up huge amounts of space either.
Man, what a fantastic package of fun! The species Mombos are ridiculously fun to feed. I dump some crickets or red runners in with mine so I can watch the feeding frenzy. I've kept 7 of them communally with no issues at all; just make sure you drop in multiple prey items when you feed them (they will fight over the same feeder!). Awesome video, and congrats on the new additions!
Dude I don't know what it was that recommended you to me but I'm glad it did I've learned a lot more from this channel and you are entertaining and very energetic, just wanna say that you are underrated and deserve some more attention :D
Amazing leaf insects :D your English is getting really good! Way better than when you started! And I wanted to tell you, the other day there was a spider in my room and I was able to put it outside with an empty glass and a paper. I could never do that before because I was too scared! Listening to your videos and other youtubers helped me a lot :)
6:13 "A ton of them" is correct, I have more than 200 now, and more hatch every day. Help. Also they are definitely communal, don't worry. I have never had a single case of cannibalism with them. Hopefully you get your package in a few days, then you can check :)
Fruchtpudding I'm counting on you to provide enough to get a colony well established, I only bought three and with the one casualty he's down to two. If your so willing please send him some adults as well, so the bloodlines can be mixed. :)
I have no clue how I found your channel but I have to say that your videos are super interesting and fun to watch! I'm super scared of spiders but seeing how brave you are and how you handle them make them a bit less scary. Subscribed my man, you have an amazing collection :D Looking forward to your videos from now on ♥
I watch all the time. I find your videos very informative and interesting. I've never been into collecting invertebrates but after watching all the tarantula videos I've become a fan...thank you😎💯👍
Hey man, I just found your videos for the first time today and I want to say I've been enjoying them a lot. You've got great enthusiasm and I'm seriously considering getting myself a tarantula as a pet, despite years of arachnophobia. So kudos for being great :)
I found / housed my first spider yesterday. I was in my office and saw him in my garbage. Before watching your channel I would have swatted it, but instead I made it an enclosure. It is a Spitting Spider, just a little true spider, but it's extremely rewarding to keep. Eating already, too. Perhaps this is the start of something great!!
Periplaneta Missionary awesome! I've always wanted a pet turantula but my parents aren't so keen 😂 I wanna collect them when I move out in a few years ☺
Oh man, if you'd like a truly harmless leaf insect but is pretty spiky, I'd recommend a spiny leaf insect (Extatosoma tiaratum) they can eat rose, mulberry, wattle, bottlebrush, eucalyptus and a few other things. They're also super chill and as long as your room that you're housing them in doesn't drop below 10c all the time you just need to spray them with water twice a day! I really wish I had the space/enclosure for a colony - they're low maintinence and they're fun to watch and handle and basically indestructible in terms of temp tolerance despite being a tropical species.
Not sure if there was a subscriber boom for you, but you showed up in my reccomended and apparently for a lot of others with the video where you fed a lot of spiders and a scary ass centipede. Naturally I subbed even though I have a fear of spiders. I'm not planning on getting one but I'm not as afraid anymore. Keep up the good work.
Dark den all I want to say keep up the videos because of your channel my whole perspective on arachnid's have changed and I think your doing a good job so keep up the work
i have assasin bugs in my collection and they are brilliant. definitely unlike anything else ive kept insect wise but are quite active and food responsive!
I always wondered what those assassin bugs were. I`ve seen a few in the wild, but avoided them because I didn`t want to get bit. Glad to know I was right to avoid them. I may capture one if I see it. Thanks for the great, informative videos.
At last, I can finally find peace. Glad you like them. I am from the US. :) Also they are all baby Hissers. And the green banana roaches look similar between genders, males are smaller. The Pystalla should be communal, also since they are adults, you need to get breeding the assassin bugs ASAP. :) Good luck. Have fun I'm looking forward to more.
I'm so glad I found you channel. Actually I was just browsing YT when I was bored and I encountered you channel. I did't even care about spiders etc :D But somehow I found your channel. They are so fascinating and beautiful. Now you are one of my favourite youtuber :D It's so nice to see you channel growing so fast! And who knows maybe I will get one if this beautiful creatures sometime :D
Good video as always :D Oh and btw, be careful with those assasin bugs, they can spit their venom and you can be unfortunate and get it in the eye, not so fun!
Hi if I didn't know any better I'd say you just feel in love with those stick insects lol! I talk to my tarantulas like that I give them all their own funny voices. Great video as always keep em' coming. Danielle in the UK 😀
You are so CUTE! I was blown away by those Nymphs!! They are incredible! Absolutely beautiful. I love all of your animals except the centipedes.....sorry they make me wanna faint. LOL
I used to have a Red Chilean rose, but havent had a pet since and was looking to get a jumping spider, would you know of anyone that sells them? i know they arent too hard to find but its kind of cold here in england right now and im having trouble finding them
Dark Den i'm really starting to LOVE your channel the more I watch your videos! And you too :P (not gay) Watching your vids actually made me less scared of Tarantulas and all different kinds of insects. Love what you do and keep making videos!!! I really hope your channel grows
Hey Petko I just went on socialblade to see how much subs you gained recently and in the last 30 days you gained *50,791* subs! Congrats and keep up the good work. I absolutely love the quality of the vids! :D
Where do you get your Sling enclosures? I want to start observing spiders and critters around my house and yard but I can't find the smaller enclosures.
Your content is really interesting and has inspired me to get a tarantula but I live in New Zealand where tarantulas and other spiders are illegal to own. Keep up the good work!
Hello dark den im thinking of getting a tarantula but I don't know which one to get and what it needs to eat and stuff thanks for all the hard work! PS:I have a small spider which jumps a lot and I caught it in my garden and I don't know which species it is. Thanks
He is so adorable when he does his little voices I can't even insects shouldn't be that cute
Your childlike excitement when you thought the stick insects were completely harmless fills me will immense joy. Though the female at least doesn't seem too bothered to climb you like you are a tree.
no taxis how do they hurt you? Sting, bite, pinch, poision, venom?
I think they can like snap their spiky legs together like scissors or something? Tho I´m not sure
They can actually dissolve human bones with their acid.
The way you are so personal with all of your creatures is so lovely. Your videos are a true treat. I find myself laughing and having a great time with you as you interact with your spiders and other insects. Thank you for the great content!
Dark den thanks for a little treat before bed

I adore how well you handle all the different critters you are sent/get. I cannot wait to see the hamsters setup too. Thank you for the steady uploads. I miss my Tarantula and this is kinda a way for me too see someone who actively seems to have a similar love for these critters and shows them the respect they deserve.

Can you do a video on the enclosure for the stick insect couple, and possibly a roach update alongside?
Your videos have increased my desire to get into the hobby and they have made me want to buy every Drone Hunter album as soon as possible
Love the bug voice commentary! Hilarious...thank you for sharing the new additions to TDD fam!
I've been watching you for a couple of weeks & watched probably half of your videos so far. Keep up the good work.

My friend and I just got a Brachypelma Vagans sling, and your videos really helped us out, A MILLION THANKS for you my friend.
This channel has quickly become one of my all time favourites, so enjoyable to watch!
The best part is how happy petko gets. Makes my wife and my day to hear how excited he is
i got scared when he was taking out the "harmless" animals XD Another really great video, Petko!!
can you please do a roach care video? I will be getting my first tarantula in about a month and I would like to know how you care for your roatches and where you got your roach colony. thanks!
Bluerat27 ________________ he made a video about his roaches but IDK where he gets them from
You won't be needing a colony with just one tarantula
Here's a roach care tip: Stomp on them with your shoe
She is the most gorgeous stick insect I've ever seen, what a beautiful species!
Those stick insects are so cool... I may very well have to look up the care of those things and get some.
I can imagine they make quite an interesting display animal and won't take up huge amounts of space either.

I have sent him as many as I had when I started. Definitely enough to get a colony going, even if a few die in the transport.
Fruchtpudding Awesome.
Fruchtpudding Is there an email to contact you for buying ?
Not a fan of having pets in general, but just wanna say you guys are awesome for loving these unappriciated animals
So glad your channel is finally receiving recognition!
