So here I am.. normally a bunny loving girl who likes fluffy pets but I’m watching Dark Den🙈😂 I always was afraid of spiders but thanks to Petko, I kinda lost the fear of spiders! I would never touch them, but at least they’re able to share a room with me now 🥵😂
You should have one of your own! Jumpers are a good place to start, ooh! How about a velvet spider?! Tarantula Kat has one and its SOOO ADORABLE! 😍 and the Nicaraguan curly hair is really fluffy tooo! Just sayin!

I swear we need more eresus velvet spiders in the U.S pet spider hobby. If I ever get my hands on some pairs I'm gonna make it a mission to breed them and make a small fortune.
Great vid! I love the Eresus spider. It is related to the ladybird spider, which is so beautiful, and they remind me of jumpers with their brave and curious personalities .
Reptile pet care specialists, I might be able to help. A quick message, number one thing to check if he isn't eating is his heat/lighting. Make sure he has a spectrum of heat from about 85F on one side to 110F at the warmest point he has access to. They do prefer to have a branch or ledge to bask on, up to 4 ft high depending on how agile he is (don't want to risk injury). Make sure he has a UVB source that is less than 6-8 months old and preferably high quality and dispursing the light rather than a single spot light. Also make sure he has a water dish big enough to completely submerge in if he so desires.
Those are the most common issues I see associated to lack of appetite.

Been watchin for qwite some time now (about 3 years) and helped me get over my fear of Arachnids, i know have a small collection started (about 13 different T's) just wanted to say thank you for helping me learn alot of the husbandry for different species of T's and having such an amazing collection! I hope to have a collection as big as your one day!
Get some leaf litter and moss in with the O Aureotibialis, and it will build an awesome web turret around it’s burrow. Will also help the T feel more secure once it’s turret is complete.

My male bearded dragon was the same he wouldn't want to eat, so I put him in warm water and he took a huge 💩 and was back to normal after that.
That was adorable!! Petko thought the male and female were going to bolt but they just calmly walked to theor burrows. Super cute and they are beautiful!! Awesome!! New trantulas!!!

I have a "Borneo black" about the same size as yours. You're right, they do burrow. I keep a tall sliver of cork in with mine, and it burrowed next to it, and made a tube on it. Haven't seen the little fella in a few weeks, but I see it's handiwork. Can't wait for it to get bigger.

Hey Petko, have you ever considered editing in a photo of the adult tarantula when you unbox slings? I am not familiar with a lot of the species so I am curious to see what they would look like when they grow
I love when tarantula TH-camrs do that! Otherwise I just pause while the name is on screen and type it into Google Images.
Black and blue/blue-ish seems to be the colour theme today. Every T had at least some (or a _lot_ of) black and/or blue when mature, even the last one has black femurs (with golden "fringe")! Odd coincidence... lol

Must be nice receiving tarantulas/spiders through UPS. My understanding is that in America, venomous animals are exclusively shipped through FedEx. For me, that really sucks! The FedEx location where I live, they won't let anyone pick up their packages at the location. Which something I need to do, since FedEx always attempts to deliver my packages while I'm at work. So I need to make an hour and a half round trip to a different city to pick up any tarantulas I order.

Regarding not shipping to US. There are smugglers laws regarding bringing animals into the country. You need special licensing to get animals across the borders. This is why you order from US based stores if you live in US.

Enjoying the vids. Definitely prefer the unboxing of animals/insects/arachnoids and not fan mail, but fast forwarding is easy enough. One last thing i'll say is that i really like how respectful you are with the animals compared to similar channels.
