I used to have one of these. 2006 1.3cdti estate, nothing but trouble. The biggest turbo lag I've ever experienced but it was fairly comfortable on daily commute, I give it that.
same here under 2k rpm nothing happened but after that she went. also got it chipped at some point, made lag a little bit less noticable and way more faster. on cold mornings was very easy to stall. almost like driving a gas car had to give loads of throttle. but i liked the steering and as you said very comfortable. sadly salt + opel are not very friendly so she rusted pretty badly.
Possible clutch problems if it wouldn't go. Mine did that in the beginning, as I had lots of difficulties going from stand still. Needed high rpms always. Then after clutch replacement it goes just by using the clutch, even in the winter. Might wanna check your EGR too.
Well... it's not just a regular drive video, it's a performance video. Also - even a diesel engine needs some revs from time to time to clean that DPF.
Ha! I drove it for a couple of years without turbo to be honest. Didn't know why it had such a long turbo lag/delay. Then I once stuck my hand under and behind the engine and found the vacuum hose disconnected. The one going from the vacuum pump to the turbo. I once had the gearbox refurbished on it and the mechanics probably accidentally disconnected the hose. I connected that back and the car came back to life. If you're not one of those imbeciles who expect a 1.3 liter engine to propel the car as if it was a Ferrari it's an incredible car. Cheers mates!

I was surprised that it was still going that well with its 200k+ km. But I agree it's not the most refined vehicle.

At this video, I want to mention that your maximum speed was around at 198 km/h.

its all about spending as little time as possible inside a van 😂😂

Fiat engine is perfect for 1.2 with 90ps, remapped up to 122bhp, still do over 61mpg! The engine is not 1.3 as my said 1248cc is 1.2.
Yeah I'm not sure why they round up to .3 as you'd only round up to .3 if it was ≥1260
