Talking about breath control... those "endless" runs. awesome stuff. I did compare this song with the version of Angelina Jordan (december 2023), and to me these young singers are both so different and yet so, so gifted. Both Lucy and Angelina are born "story tellers", each in their own equally talented way. And both are well and truly on their way to the top.
Along with the basically incomparable rendition by Bobby Hatfield, Leann Rimes' version is also top notch. Miss Thomas just jumped right up alongside them. As she matures, her voice does as well. We are in for a treat as the years pass and she keeps getting better and better. She becomes only a better version of herself, which puts her in a league of her own.
