Nice idea I've been looking for for something like this, what keeps the batteries from flying out of the holder ? If it's a strap could you just design and print a strap fitting for the drone and eliminate the bulk and weight of the battery holder or is it just a cosmetic thing ?

I had a strap only design, but with larger batteries it would crack the PLA prints at the seams after 1-2 uses. The issue was the strap tension needed to retain the battery in flight distorted the print. I'm not an engineer by any stretch of my imagination, so this is all just guessing, then printing, and editing on my part. My goal was to fill a product gap for low to no cost for many. Maybe if you printed it in ABS and just sawed off the ends that might work too. I just don't have the resources to test ABS prints. Thanks for the reply.

Which battery did you find works the best as far as weight and flight time?

Sorry for the delayed response, TH-cam takes forever to notice me. Honestly, the 720mah 100c HV RDQ cells seem to work well for acrobatic flying ( loads of power) and the GNB 1100mah 60c HV is good for cruising.
