    Great Video!! We purchased our home furnished and it has a big mirror on the left side when entering our home from the EAST. The mirror doesn’t reflect the front door but reflects wooden double doors with frosted windows that opens to our dinning room. Wondering if that is ok since the reflection will be our dinning table (northeast) when the doors are open. Also plan to have a cheery custom mural with flowers painted on our dinning room walls. Maybe hang flowers so they are reflected by the mirror. Any guidance you can give would be most appreciated.

      Hi @groovysecondhalf Thank you! 😊 I’m so happy you’re diving into Feng Shui and thinking about the energy of your home-it makes all the difference! 🌸✨
      Let’s talk about that mirror. Since it doesn’t reflect the front door, you’re already off to a good start! 🌟 However, with the mirror reflecting the dining room and table, we want to ensure that the energy it’s amplifying is abundant and positive. In Feng Shui, the dining room is connected to **family, abundance, and nourishment**, so having a mirror reflecting your dining table can actually **double the energy of abundance**-which is fantastic! 💖🍽️
      Just be mindful that the table and dining room stay clean, welcoming, and full of positive energy so that the mirror reflects the kind of wealth and harmony you want to invite into your life. 🌿💫
      As for the mural with flowers-this sounds beautiful! 🌸🌼 Having those cheerful flowers reflected in the mirror will only enhance the positive, vibrant energy in the space. Flowers symbolize growth, beauty, and joy, so painting them on the walls and reflecting them in the mirror is a wonderful way to bring uplifting energy into your dining room and home. 🌿✨
      Overall, it sounds like you’re creating a space that’s filled with positive, nourishing energy-just be mindful to keep things fresh and vibrant, and your home will continue to support you beautifully. 💖😊
      Hope this brings clarity and inspiration for your lovely space!

    OMG light bulb moments extreme!!! I recently bought my first home (a town house) but it is the first town house you see as you enter the complex (like a minor T junction off a quiet street). I had stupidly hung a big mirror on my balcony when I first moved in and it immediately felt wrong but I thought I just didn't like the style and had planned to replace it with a Balinese prison mirror which sounds horrible but is actually beautiful and looks like a window. I realised from a femg shui article that this was a mistake and would be reflecting ALL energy, not just the negative energy ..so I removed that. But then realised I have a huge closet mirror in my bedroom, right behind where I had put the original mirror so like .. same effect. I also have the back door directly in line with the front door 🤯😭 and have been working out what to do about that. I have hung sheers in the middle of the lounge room, creating a barrier between the spaces which does seem to be helping (all of this research was triggered by HUGE bills flying in ever since I moved here). I am now, as we speak, hot glueing brown paper over that closet mirror and will eventually replace that with a nice decal or something when this (hopefully 🙏🙏🙏) helps my finances and I can afford it. The closet mirror had been driving me nuts because it reflects the street light outside and shines it straight into my eyes at night. Of course, the vertical blinds were falling off one by one since moving in and the beautiful expensive curtain I ordered to block out the street lamp arrived but was the wrong size (seriously, I have had so much bad luck). Holy cow, I have really been happy with how I have styled the home but the femg shui design problems have been such a nightmare. I replaced the outside mirror with a beautiful golden moon phase hanging that I had and added a plant to the balcony. I have also ordered a beautiful white hammoc so I can enjoy the balcony (by looking up to the clouds rather than onto the non-inspiring town house entry street). I can't wait to see if removing these mirrors will help my finances!

      Hi Carly. Just remember that the importance of a mirror is to look at them and see what they are reflecting or duplicating, it is either pushing back away or welcoming a positive in you're home, bringing the energy coming in, or doubling something that is not good. And the last thing is, make sure you don’t have a mirror that is cheap and crack.
      With regards to your front door that is aligned to your back door, put some light sheer curtains and put it to the window. And you can also create an energetic kind of barrier like a table that has beautiful artwork, lamp so that when you came in, that is the time that the chi or energy or money is being held for a minute.

    I only have one mirror in my house...the long dressing mirror in my bedroom. Right now it's leaning against the wall (because I haven't hung it yet lol) does it matter whether I hang it on the inside or outside of my closet door? If it hangs on the outside it will face one of my bedroom windows on the outside wall. Thank you! This was very informative!

    Hi Patricia, I love your videos and I started practising fengshui recently. I ve heard its good to hang a mirror on the ceiling, facing towards the toilet ball. Does this mean we are pushing down the bad energy through the flush?

    • @PatriciaLohan
      @PatriciaLohan  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @krishloku8012 Hi there! 😊 I’m so happy to hear you’ve been enjoying the videos and have started practicing Feng Shui-yay! 🌟
      Now, I totally get why you’re asking about the mirror on the ceiling above the toilet, but I wouldn’t recommend it. 🚫 In Feng Shui, the bathroom is seen as a place where energy can easily "drain away," and mirrors are very powerful because they reflect and amplify energy. By placing a mirror above the toilet, you’re essentially **reflecting and amplifying** that draining energy, which is the opposite of what we want! 🚽✨
      Instead, the best way to deal with bathrooms in Feng Shui is to **keep the toilet lid closed** when it’s not in use and the bathroom door closed to minimize energy loss. 💨 This keeps the energy more contained and prevents the positive chi from "flushing" away. You can also bring in some Earth elements like a plant or stone to help ground and stabilize the energy in the bathroom. 🌿🌸
      Your intention is great, but we want to be sure we’re using mirrors in ways that **enhance** the positive energy rather than reflecting energy that we don’t want more of. 😊💖
      I hope that helps! Keep up your amazing Feng Shui practice! 🌟✨

      Hi @lr4816 Welcome, and I’m so happy you found me on TH-cam! 😊🌟 It sounds like you’ve got a beautiful view, and mirrors can be a powerful tool in Feng Shui-especially when they’re reflecting something as calming and abundant as the sea and land. 🌊✨
      In Feng Shui, mirrors **double** whatever they reflect, so in your case, you’re amplifying the peaceful, expansive energy of the sea and land, which can bring a sense of abundance and flow into your home-yay! 🌿💖
      That said, just make sure the mirror is positioned in a way that feels balanced and not overwhelming. You want it to bring a sense of calm, not too much active or “rushing” energy, especially with the sea. Also, be mindful of how **you** feel when sitting on the sofa. If it feels peaceful and supportive, that’s a good sign! 🌟✨
      Overall, it sounds like you’re creating a lovely, expansive energy in your home by reflecting that view. Enjoy the flow of abundance and peace! 😊💖

    • @PatriciaLohan

      Hi @likeit2nerdymusigirl When it comes to mirrors in the bedroom, they can be a little tricky in Feng Shui! 🌿✨ While mirrors are fantastic for reflecting light and energy in certain areas of the home, the bedroom is one place where we like to be more cautious. Mirrors in the bedroom can disrupt the calm, peaceful energy we want for rest and relaxation. 🛏️💤
      If the mirror is placed where you can see yourself when lying in bed-or in this case, when you close the door-it can actually create **restless energy**. Mirrors are very activating, which is great in areas like the living room or entryway, but in the bedroom, we want to invite **soothing, yin energy** to help you sleep soundly and feel more at peace. 🌙✨
      Instead, I’d recommend moving the mirror to a spot where it’s **not directly reflecting the bed**. You could place it on the inside of a closet door or in another area where it won’t impact the restful energy of the space. 😊🌸
      Remember, the bedroom is your sanctuary for rest and intimacy, so keeping the energy soft and calm will create the most nourishing environment for you. 💖

    What about a mirror across a large window?

    • @PatriciaLohan
      @PatriciaLohan  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! 🌿✨ In Feng Shui, mirrors are powerful because they reflect and amplify energy, so we always want to be mindful of where they’re placed. When a mirror is placed directly across from a large window, it can reflect all the energy that enters your home right back out, which can prevent positive chi from flowing through your space. 🌬️💨
      Ideally, you want your mirror to **invite and enhance** the energy within your home, not send it away. So, instead of placing it directly across from the window, it’s better to position the mirror somewhere where it reflects something beautiful inside-like a lovely piece of art, plants, or even a cozy space. 🌸🌿 This way, the mirror will amplify the positive energy already in your home, rather than bouncing it out.
      If moving the mirror isn’t possible, adding some soft elements near the window, like curtains or plants, can help balance and soften the energy flow. 🌿🌸
      Your home should feel like it’s nurturing you, so mirrors are best used to **enhance and support the energy within**. 😊✨

    • @PatriciaLohan
      @PatriciaLohan  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @dianaa9864, In Feng Shui, it’s best to use one single mirror rather than tiles or multiple pieces-this way, you create a whole, unbroken reflection that supports balanced energy. 😊💖 Tile mirrors can create a fragmented effect, which may lead to scattered energy or a sense of imbalance in the room.

    Hi.. Can I you help me on this? My office table, behind it is a door to a server room where our IT staff work. So he comes out and in to his ofc often. Tho I feel disturbed with the activity... I know it has a bad energy. One of my friends adviced that I should put a mirror on my table to counter the energies.. Would you recommend that or what should I do if can't transfer my table?

    • @PatriciaLohan
      @PatriciaLohan  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I completely understand how that setup might feel a bit unsettling, especially with all the activity going on behind you! 😕✨ In Feng Shui, having a door behind your desk can create a sense of vulnerability or discomfort because it’s difficult to focus when you feel like something-or in this case, someone-could come up behind you at any moment. 🌿🚪
      While adding a mirror to your desk might help you see the movement behind you, it doesn’t fully resolve the underlying issue of energy flowing out of balance. Here’s what I recommend instead:
      1. **Create a stronger “back” for support**: Ideally, in Feng Shui, you want to feel supported, as if you have a “mountain” behind you. Since you can’t move your desk, try placing something solid behind your chair to give you that sense of security-like a high-backed chair or a bookshelf. 📚🪑 This will help anchor and ground you.
      2. **Use a plant or screen**: You can also place a tall, lush plant or even a room divider between you and the door. 🌿✨ This creates a natural barrier to block some of the disruptive energy coming from the door while still allowing for some movement. It softens the impact of that busy energy flowing into your space.
      3. **Clear communication**: If possible, kindly ask the IT staff to close the door gently or minimize disruptions. Creating a clear boundary can help both physically and energetically. 😊
      Mirrors can sometimes amplify energy, so in this case, you don’t want to reflect more of that activity into your space. Instead, focus on creating **a strong, calm support behind you**, and that should bring more peace and focus to your work environment. 🌸💪
      Hope that helps bring some balance to your space! 😊✨

    I have a really long hallway with 12 meters. At the end is the sitting room (open) with a window. The sitting room is 3 meters, in the end of this wall i put a nice Picture. I organized the half floor and than the last piece of 3 meters is soooo difficult. there is the hallway also more tight than about 1,20 m. So first I have left side a quader of trones from Ikea and right side a wood picture with nice text. and after that in right side comes the big bath door and a small piece of wall (15 cm). So I really dont know its good left side to put a mirror (150x50), its so tall and narrow so it would be one meter free in any side of this and its in front of the bath door. So you dont recommend a mirror infront a door right? But what I can put there to make the cross from white color in the floor to light brown in the living room. I thought also about a big picture and a glass vase. But I am afraid some one will hit this. Do you have any idea? A tall and narrow mirror maybe looks lost there right with 1 meter space in any side? And infront the bath door not possible? Thanx from Germany

      While mirrors are fantastic tools in Feng Shui for reflecting and amplifying energy, they aren’t the best solution for handling noise from your neighbors. In fact, mirrors reflect energy, so placing one in this situation could potentially amplify that unwanted energy, which isn’t what we want! 🚫💨
      Instead, I would recommend **using something solid and grounding**-like plants, a tall bookshelf, or even a piece of heavy furniture along the wall between your home and theirs. 🌿✨ These elements can help to create a **barrier** between you and the noise, absorbing and blocking some of that disruptive energy.
      You can also hang some **soft fabrics** like thick curtains or tapestries, which help buffer the noise and create a more serene, cozy environment in your space. 🛋️🌸
      And if possible, bring in calming, grounding elements-think plants, crystals, or anything that makes you feel supported and relaxed. By focusing on **strengthening the energy in your space**, you’ll feel more peaceful, no matter what’s going on outside. 😊💖
      I hope this helps bring some calm and quiet back into your home! 🌟
