I would like to tell you that I completed painting my house yesterday and I used a graco magnum x7 I did upgrade it to rac x tips and guard as well as a 20 inch extension and a 10 inch extension. It did take me 2 weeks start to finish but it came out beautiful You sir saved me approx 4500 dollars here in Hawaii. Quote was for 5400 I was able to do it for around 900 including tools I split the machine with a coworker. Thanks so much for all your instructional videos without them I never would have attempted this endevour. Now my house is beautiful again and I can still afford tuition for 2 students in college. Thanks so much.
If you would have used the low pressure/low overspray tip then you would have started painting as a professional because the difference in overspray is crazy using the different tips
@@lexandersantana8089 I used a 515 tip on the siding and a 310 for the top panels as well as the gutters and downspouts. It was much easier to control overspray with the 310 tip.
I use soap, water, and a grill cleaning sponge to clean off chalky paint on my wood siding. Worked like a charm.
Pro trick: you can watch series on Flixzone. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies recently.
@Nikolai Coen Yup, have been using Flixzone for years myself =)
Hey bud I would just like to say I’m a proud union painter by trade out of the Bay Area and I must say you do excellent work and explaining your material is very helpful for everyone even for myself I always tell my self I’m still a student of the trade and I’m always willing to learn
Thank you so much for sharing and watching 🤙
Thanks for your support
I used to powerwash and mix in TSP( Trisodium Phosphate). The problem with that stuff is it stains concrete and shingles. What I do now is powerwash real close with an oscillating nozzle, scrub with a stiff brush while its wet, then wash again. It amazes me how much comes off over powerwashing alone. You get quite the workout from all that scrubbing too. You never need to scrub literally everything, just areas where there is tons of sun exposure. Do a finger test first by wiping your finger on the surface. If there is barely a trace, then powerwash only but if your finger is quite white then use that stiff brush. If there is still a trace of chalk, paint will penetrate it as long as you backroll after spraying.
I watch your channel Broh to learn different methods to be a better painter thanks for the content man
👊
great video! very helpful for my situation, thanks!! :)
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Chris excellent videos as always just a quick question? Do you wet the roller before rolling and if so how wet would it be
It’s good practice
Awesome stuff dude
That doorbell button is up high. Is that to keep little kids from ringing it?
What about interior chalky drywall that is new and lots of drywall dust/ chalk on walls I’ve heard of interior walls peeling do to drywall dust left on walls. My Behr rep recommended PVA drywall primmer
Would you recommend priming the door prior to painting it with a top coat?
Say if you were using a water base paint or a urethane alkyd
rather then a rustoleum enamel?
Good stuff bro Thanks!
Hi Chris, can you advise a source for the Emulsi-bond? I live in Oregon and tried PPG, Sherwin Williams, and many others with no luck. Any help appreciated. Don
I so was waiting to see you wipe the exterior wall by hand..
Don’t even need all that so simple a vinegar spray works just as well but thanks
What do you think of TSP for chalking surfaces. Have aluminum pillars...that are semi chalky.
There is way better cleaners
Does this apply to a chalky surface on my deck?
No
Trying to start a painting business any advice?
Dont cut corners and learn to explain the right system to your customers. You don't need to be low bid if you become an expert and can communicate effectively.
No need for "special" products... Just use a solvent-based antirust primer and voila.
Try some sealkrete
will do
@@Idahopainter I'll be curious to see your review on this if you do try it. I think its more common in places like Floirda. I've been researching this.
Or you can just mix in some emulsibond
Would you include that with primer if priming first?
Oxyclean
Wow, realistic clean pre prep is great, but if you're paying this guy, he's gonna cost a fortune!!! Wayyy to much talk, over prep, & NOT enough...get it DONE already!! Use vinegar & get painting...
Really👊
