Been watching this very informative videos of yours, I think this is my 3rd viewing 😊 just to make sure i wont forget the process, im just waiting for my materials to arrive from an online shop that i placed my orders. Thank you very much bro for this complete steps , by the way, other video are not clearly coached nor completely instructed. Again, thank you.
Excellent job and very very neatly. Bravo. There was sam mistery questions for me, how u pull the wire between door and body ? I suppose there is a wire connector there ?!
At 4:00 you talk about wiring to the door switch wire. On the 2018 Honda Accord, the door switch is no longer there. Do you know which wires to wire into for the positive wire for the door switch? I can't find where the switch is located now.
So on the drivers side, there is a brown wire, and on the passengers side, there is a green wire to complete the circuit for +/- ? Did honda really do it this way ? I am looking to complete the circuit for +/- on the drivers side AND on the passengers side. Let me know if this is possible. Thanks.
Hey I did this to a 2017 sport but the passenger door light stays on with door closed and I found out when the car is off and door is closed sends a ground out but when it’s on it’s ok kinda weird
Nice video, I have a 05 Accord Ex, was thinking of doing this to my rear doors. Do you think the color of wires be the same? Any help will be appreciated. Another, the part # for the door pigtail,OEM, couldn't use one in Part 1. Please and thank you.
I think wire colors are different, cause different cars uses different wires, few happened to be the same on some parts, I'll be doing this to a Toyota Rush 2020 model, the best thing to do is connect the ground wire directly to the door switch to just to make sure, since it's the only wire that we need to tap in to, except the positive red wire that goes directly to fuse box. Wish me safe . 😊
Hi I need your help I own a 2012 Honda Pilot with existing door courtesy lights, I was attempting to install door projectors to doors. I was getting 12 volts previous to install but when I installed lights they would not come on. I am only getting 2-3 volts now and not even the existing courtesy light is coming on. I spliced into both wires from door courtesy light on passenger side. Since I could not finish this side I never attempted driver side. What do u think happened. Please advise. Thx. Also all other lights do come on.
I don't have that lower fuse section on my 2014 Sport model. a thru h Do you recommend any of the other fuse slots? I tried number 7 (option) but it's not constant power. Thanks for your help!
You need to get yourself a digital multimeter. Even the cheap on that harbor freight give out from time to time will work. You just need to find one that is ignition switch. Something like your windshield wipers or side view mirror control.
Hello Jeff, this is the next thing I'm going to do to my car, i want to get it done tomorrow, but since i have a sedan, are the wires going to be the same color?
www.driveaccord.net/forums/138-audio-electronics-lighting/79891-sport-diy-interior-lighting.html Front passenger is light green, driver door is brown, left rear door is light green and rear right door is yellow.
@@DIYCarModz so, to test it I just need to put a positive lead on constant 12 positive, the other lead to solid brown wire in voltage mode. Then hit the door switch to see if there is 0v when the door switch is depressed, and 12v when the door switch is released? Thanks in advance!
DIY: Car Modz Hey I want to know if I use dome light wire, red wire is connector to dome light plus wire and black wire is connector to Negative wire or the door switch wire. And how can I find the “plus wire and negative wire” than you help me please
Where you pig connected to the neg brown wire. Do you know if any of the other wires are constant power? With my setup the OPT7 Aura , it has to wires for door assist. I put the neg to the brown wire and now I need a constant power. I would prefer to stay in that same area if possible. Do you think there's a constant wire in that same conduit ? Thanks !!!!!!
+DIY: Car Modz Ok , new problem LOL .....Please help . I found the brown wire in the door sill , connect the spitter as shown. However it's backwards for me on my 2014 Sport model. When I open the door the white goes off & when I close the door the white light comes on. The next step I tried was connecting the wire to the dome light itself, same outcome. I tried both the yellow & the pink. The white light comes on with the door closed. Any thoughts? Thank you!
+xrayiz67 ok I've found some information on this issue. Ground side switching. The forum said I need to use a relay to fix the problem with the white light coming on with the door closed. Do you know anything about this procedure? Thanks
xrayiz67 Sorry I do not know. I'll try and contact OPT7 and see if they can send me this product you purchase so that I can do a installation video. Don't hold your breath though, last time I contacted them I got brushed off and didn't hear back.
+DIY: Car Modz ok thanks , I'm going to send them a email with my problem. Maybe you can bring up the door assist issues everyone's having problems with. Thx ! Great videos by the way!!👍 Do u work for Honda?
+Andy Yoeuy Need more info. What exactly are you trying to do. What trim do you have. Do you want to get rid of the current drl and use the fogs only as DRL light? Do you understand that DRL light is running at less than 12v. Do you want to fog to turn on with the drl. What country are you located. Too many variables to give you a straight answer or make a video.
It can be lame but can help if you open your door, so people don't rip your door off if you park on the side of the road. They also sell laser logo projectors ( that project onto the ground) that you can match with your car's make/model.
I did on my 14 Accord Sport including turn signals and heated mirror. Thank you a lot!!!
Dude I hv been looking for an door light install for the longest time thnk a bunch was really helpful
Thank you for watching. Glad it was helpful to you.

Is the green wire on the passenger side also for an F-150 2007?

so basically, Courtesy Light needs to tap in :
"+" with constants power in the fuse box
"-" with the positive door switch?
Negative door switch

Hey, could I just use a t-tap quick connector, tap into the dome light wire and then ground the other wire to the chassis? no relays, no inline fuses.
Yes, you can do that.
Is there a risk at all? like too much load on the dome light? what wattage of LED should I look for?

You gonna take a “2amp fuse but I’m gonna use five” Is it 2 or 5 ?
Dash camera side of the tap should be 2A - 5A.
