Long frame hives are awesome, they are so much easier to work with . The ones I have the bees smashed it much faster than the standards langstroth hives. Really enjoy them, no heavy lifting, no taking boxes apart. Wish they were made commercially.

Bonjour Mr trevor , je regarde souvent vos vidéos malgré la barrière de la langue et je les trouvent très instructives pour un débutant comme moi , merci pour le partage et un encouragement dans votre passion depuis la Nouvelle Calédonie .

    Hey Trevor!
I've subscribed to your channel, so that I can learn some more from you! I love the clear video framing that you do (semi-pro photographer, though not doing that at the moment), and your commentary is clear, concise, and to the point.
However, I'm a pre-Noob (can't become a Beek until I relocate from here in Wyoming, USA, to Alaska, USA, and I can't do that, until I get my house sold), and so much of what you were doing with your inspection process I did not understand, and would dearly have loved you to provide some detailed explanatory, so I could better understand what you were doing!
I plan on building an Extended Langstroth Top Bar Hive, the design made by Joe Frank in the USA, which holds, I believe 33-40 Langstroth frames, as well as being able to use either standards, or deeps.
My body made the choice for me, between regular square Langstroth hive designs: I have 3 herniations in my lumbar region and 3 compressions in my neck and so, lifting even a normal super would not be possible for me!
Anywho, I wanted to congratulate you on a superb video, and let you know I'll be watching your other videos!
Thank you again for your hard work and attention to detail!
    Cheers from Central Wyoming, USA!
    JR Bailey

What is the purpose of the 22 frame long hive?
Whats the story behind that second frame you pulled out which only had maybe 20% of the foundation?
This isn't criticism, but you're very quick with pushing the frames together, are you not worried about squishing bees? I'm very slow with frame manipulation because of this worry. Same applies to putting the hive mat on, I get very worried I might crush some bees on the frame.

What are the squares on the hive mats?
Love the build and the colour. I am so going to shift mine into one of these - Thanks Trev

Trevor can I get the plans for this Hive somewhere? I really like the overall design and the ability to stack on it as well.
