As a kid through my teen yrs I watched these and his westerns with my mom the same way. I lost my mom in 2013. I'm 53 yrs old now and would do anything for just one more movie. Rest easy Mom I love and miss you! 2211
Brad Dillman steals that last scene as the police captain. If you were a TV casting director from 1960-1990, and needed someone to play an unlikable, swarthy or craven bellyacher, Dillman was your go-to guy. He made a great living as a character actor on TV series and made-for-TV movies over the years. I met him once at a college football combine in the early 2000s when I did a double-take and stupidly stared at him. I thought I recognized him but couldn't imagine what he was doing there. I didn't realize then that he was something of an expert on football scouting and had already written two books critiquing and improving how the NFL evaluated college players. Who knew?😂 He was really cool about it -- recognized my confusion, came up to me, shook my hand and introduced himself. We ended up talking about football and movies for nearly an hour and he could not have been nicer. I was sad to hear about his death a few years back -- 2018, I think. But he lived a good long life -- 87 years old when he died.
70s films are the greatest. The best decade for movies. 100 years from now, people will still be watching and quoting the Dirty Harry movies, The Godfather, Godfather II, Rocky, Cuckoo’s Nest, Star Wars, Jaws, Annie Hall, Deliverance..
Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, Burt Reynolds, James Garner, Donald Sutherland,Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Lee Van Cleef. All these actors and more guaranteed a decent movie without knowing anything else about the story. I just became a fan of the actors, and sometimes you saw a film that you otherwise wouldn’t have watched. No Netflix. No Rotten Tomatoes. No Spoiler alerts. No B.S. Going to the movies was an event.
This scene kind of shows the actual direction the country took at the time, to get us where we are today. Harry did his best to keep the status quo, but the higher ups stepped on him constantly. We need even more than Harry Calahan. We need The Punisher.
Clint's 4th & final Dirty Harry film in '88 is Jim*Carrey's 1st movie: lip-syncing Axel Rose in '87's "Welcome to the Jungle", &, w: OG Guns 'N' Roses @ his*funeral!🤘🥀
We all forget it 😅😅😅 How FUNNY Clint Eastwood is in this 📽!! The kick in the Butt ( That made Harry 🙁) the shot in the ballz , his demotion to personnel🤣🤣🤣 classic Eastwood
John Mitchum he was one of Clint Eastwoods frequent co stars and part of Eastwoods stock actors for his production company Malpaso. Mitchum was in Eastwoods The Outlaw Josey Wales in 1976.
Harry loves DiGiorgio. He insults him continuously, but he asks for him as his partner before he gets paired with the college boy from SJSU. And DiGiorgio is old school. He leaves while Harry tunes up the psycho in Kezar.
I watched this recently. I can’t help but think that the people that watched this as impressionable kids are now the MAGA crowd. It has the same philosophy and characters. Trump, of course, is Harry Callahan. His followers have even made paintings of him as a muscular and in-shape man, far from the truth. In any case, I wonder if the culture was shaped by this. If so, there is some hope for the future, with all the multi-cultural superhero movies. I’m not saying I’m against the Dirty Harry movies. I really liked the first one. I’m just wondering how much they shaped / reinforced a certain take on society that ultimately had an effect as that cohort got older.
I don't care if you people say don't make things political it's not necessarily political it's just if you want to hang on to your way of life in the United States of America?
Well, Diaper Dump certainly 'enforced' upon a few hundred thousand extra American citizens an early, needless death from Covid 19 in his first term. We can only wonder how many innocent lives he'll 'enforce' an early demise upon in this current term. Between nappy changes by his diaper boy, Walt Nauta. And his tariffs, if idiotically 'enforced' by this ignorant fool, will drive up costs for so many products that a severe recession would be a certainty. Maybe things really must get truly awful before the MAGAts finally see that their 'enforcer' is all hat and no cattle. That they've been sucked into a cult built on lies. I don't know whether to be sorry for you when his diaper load hits the fan or to just say, "You were told, but you just had to put your hand right back in the fire in order to learn your lesson." Come back to this reply in, say, a year from now, two at most. By then your sorry country will be deep in the pile Dump is going to drop as he squats over y'all. Unless it's worth it to you to have your economy tank in order to get your jollies from the suffering Dump will 'enforce' upon all the people you hate as he does. Sad.
Some of the best memories watcing these movies with my dad on. Saturday afternoon.
My dad LOVED (and still loves) these movies.
Dirty: I Love You 😘💕❤️

Same
The world needs more cops like Harry Callahan.
Every major city in the US needs a Dirty Harry or three.
@@rwboa22 agreed!
Especially now more than ever!
Dies ist nur ein Märchen🙄

Clint Eastwood, an American icon. Nuff said.
I am dreading the day we hear of his passing. It will mark the end of the good old Hollywood.
Another great upload, thank you.
The cars, the clothes and the "BankAmericard" (now VISA) logo give away the movie's era.
I spotted 3 Datsun 510s. 🙂
This is my best sports jacket!!!! LOL!!!
Run jive ass bastard!! 🤣🤣🤣

Can you be patient enough to watch Marathon Man? Dustin Hoffman’s best performance ever. Is it safe?
What do they want?
They want a car!
What are you going to do?
Give them one!
Today the whole World badly needs many Harry Callahans and John McClanes
"I was in, personnel!"
Clint: "Exactly!" 😂😂😂 👍🏻👍🏻
I remember the "personnel" scene in the theater. The crowd roared with laughter.
So San Francisco was going left wayyyyyy back then.
I’ll bet ya that most cops in the 1970s and 80s wanted to be like Inspector Callahan 😄
Most big city departments in 2024 probably desperately want him now.
Not only in that time
Dirty: That’s Funny 😆
Back in those days.
You could, there was no cameras.
@@sammywestenberger9303 The Dirtiest lol 😂
The guy in the denim top, thats a young Joe Spano from Hill Street and NCIS!

They did.
Marvelous 😄😄

John Mitchum he was one of Clint Eastwoods frequent co stars and part of Eastwoods stock actors for his production company Malpaso. Mitchum was in Eastwoods The Outlaw Josey Wales in 1976.
Joe Spano as a punk robber. So of course he later made detective with NYPD.😂
The best movie👍👍👍👍👍
Kamala was in personnel for four years😞🤣🤔🤔😅😪😭😭🤭😂😂

LOL, 😂 SFO was a sh!those even back in the 70s… it’s now completely in the dumps.
That's the meme nowadays for basement warriors but it's not really true. You'll find more trash in Appalachia.
To quote Deliverance: "You don't know nothin"
"Too much linguine. " Somewhere in the movie. There's Joe Spano who went to Hill Street Blues.
Awesome movie
extroindenay video. 100% video.
Dirty Harry was the original Maga icon
When SFO was a pre-dump city 😂
Well, they WILL sue the city!
What do they want? A car. Going to give them one
Harry not wearing his seat belts
I want a plate of food.
Kinda reminds me of a scene in Only FOOLS & Horses
Neither of the two cops are wearing a seat belt...
Lap belts? It is the 70s
Here's a seven point suppository.
