Great review as always. Can’t see many people spending this much euro for a wheel with 3D printed parts and a screen that has no benefit to 40% or more of the user base.
I have made on order of this wheel based on this review, it seems an reasonable price for it's features. Regarding the quick release I order it with 50mm Q1R wheel side so the plastic adapter will not be used (I assume). Red stitching and shorter USB cable, exiting times :) Thank you for your work SRG!
hello thank you very much for this video it is a beautiful wheel said me the universal adapter on the wheel is end its depth is about 2 centimeters between the base of the steering wheel? because I have to use with the hub fanatec podium which is already 11.5 centimeters long thank you very much for your articles
I think the only thing I would want to see on these would be a rotary encoder, but I don't think the lack of one would keep me from buying the f1 version of this rim.
Nice looking wheel. I really like that there's only one USB port needed to run everything, most wheels with LCDs need at least 2 usbs or 1 USB and 1 hdmi. A few more buttons wouldn't hurt though!
I wonder if the hub is designed to take 1/4 inch bolts instead of 6mm ones. The heads on 1/4 bolts are 7/16 which is around 11mm instead of 10mm heads on 6mm bolts.
I'm having an issue connecting the SMR FTO 3drap wheel. When connected, it removes the thrustmaster drivers ( TS XW- TLCM pedals) Please let me know if you have any suggestions. This is on a PC. Thanks in advance!
Is this wheel compatible with the Accuforce Pro v2? If so does it come standard being able to work on the Accuforce quick release or do you need a special adapter to make it work?
Hey guys thrustmaster came out with a ssh handbrake compatible with xbox1 and ps4, my question is will this handbrake work with xbox1 for the TMX wheel?
3D printed stuff should be making the prices cheaper. I wouldnt spend 550 Euros (69,469 YEN for me) for a plastic wheel with a fancy screen. Seems well overpriced . Thanks for the review thou.
Custom low-volume jobs like this are never really a good option for value. Bulk processing and automation saves a lot of money in the long run. The "GT3" and "DTM" wheels by 3drap are a much better option if you need to save money. Use an android device as a display instead (DashMeterPro for me), but you lose the hand clutches, which I personally could stand to lose for a better deal. If you really want it cheaper, you order one of the DIY kits and assemble it yourself. Or don't order the DIY kit and design and make a wheel yourself, like SimracingNC did for his F1 wheel. I can't even imagine the satisfaction when your own hand made wheel is finished.
I dont mind spending money on quality products, i just dont see the value of this wheel for me. But you go right ahead if its something you like. I have bought products from 3Drap before, again 3d printed stuff, and the finish was kind of dodgy and didnt sit flush in some parts with rough edges and bad joins.
MrLalzor its also mass produced. And the "gimmicks" are also part of the price. The 3drap shop, which is horrible, does have cheaper versions though, like one without display and clutch for 290€ PS: eh, fuck those fags and their FB
If you by the pro verison that comes with a wheel, you can bolt the wheel side QR hub to this wheel and use it with no issues. Not sure if you can plug the USB directly into the Accuforce, but you can plug the wheel's USB directly into your PC. If you don't get the accuforce wheel, you can just use a third party QR system that has a 70mm bolt pattern and connect to the motors hub that way.
After 10 videos of high end sim devices including D-Box, i decided just go ahead buy a BMW M2 competition instead, even though $60k but considering it as a 20k sim gear cost on top of a 40k car, but you get some you lose some both way
Hi, I am a new subscriber to your chanel, very nice reviews. Could you talk thru your tripplescreen hardware and software setup? Also how you setup fov etc in various games?
Haven't watched the whole review yet but i would go with 3drap, simply because I've gotten a better impression as a whole. Not necesarily quality, but as a whole
I'm just not a fan of 3D printed parts. Especially the shifter mechanism. They do have some good looking GT wheels that are far cheaper and offer Ascher shifters that might be worth a look, but idk
Barry. I love you. But do you think you could drive something other than that car at sebring for every single test? I know why you do it but it would be cool to see you drive a formula car with that rim.
Nasty 3d printed encoder knobs, button shields and rear housing, No thanks! For that money I would expect machined aluminium or even carbon fibre, it should have real LED shift & flag lights. Finally the finish is pretty poor, there is delamination on the edges of the carbon sheet where it has either been cut with the wrong tooling or too aggressively (watch out for splinters), none of the radii look consistent, the countersunk screws are not flush & the way that the screen surround "button bulges" fit against the stitched "alcantara like" material looks terrible.
Not if u diy it yourself, u can make an amstudio one which is actually very similar to this for like £50-80 which is a very good price since it’s almost the exact same as this 3drap (the amstudio is also made from pla) which is £500
My sim magic gt1 3drap mod is amazing!!
No bite point adjustment is disappointing, but they offer mounting solutions for non DD wheels, which I don't think others do.
Wow Fancy seeing this TH-camr here ha ha
VitaminZeth I’m a sim racer and this guy is the king of gear reviews so yeah, I’m here 😂
It is nice to see you got your hands on some 3DRap, they have some good mods.
front plate looks to be an exact profile of Mclaren GT3 wheel from a glance
I mean it doesn't look like a 1000€ wheel inside but I'd still think 550 for a carbon fiber wheel with an lcd screen is not bad deal at all.
Great review as always.
Can’t see many people spending this much euro for a wheel with 3D printed parts and a screen that has no benefit to 40% or more of the user base.
Boy do I have news for you lol
I had rather seen a metal back, Nice way to see a print usb hub inside I was thinking they use a 7 wired coilled wire

Exactly 16mm from the base of wheel.
@@simracinggarage3026 thank you very much for this clarification! it's a pleasure to follow you
Hi Barry is there any chance you can do a review on the thrustmaster Ferrari f1 wheel add on as I've seen you did on on the g29 rim? Cheers Garry
I think the only thing I would want to see on these would be a rotary encoder, but I don't think the lack of one would keep me from buying the f1 version of this rim.

Pretty late to the party but i think their wheels can be customised, so you should be able to add more if you want to
@@nosslraK late to the party huh? Look at me.

id like to see u try the new Sebring in rF2 and see if your arms dont rip of when using that wheel
I freaking love your sim
Seems like the left shifter paddle assembly is missing the nut and the washer? Was is like that originally when delivered from manufacturer?

I have a T300 wheelbase amd if i buy one of their wheels compatible with it will all of the buttons still work?
Yes!!! New video! Keep it up.
18:45 what is this component called? I need it for my school project
search for a cable gland. Thats what you should use at least
Where i find a plaque to buy and make my customized steering wheel please??????? Help me
Late to the party here but does anyone know what usb hub board is or can be used to connect the button board and the screen usb?
@sim racing garage would a accuforce QR work on this?
Wish they did one without the screen for us VR guys
These are custom made to order, so I would drop them and email with any questions you have.
Sim Racing Garage thanks, I think I’ll have to. Great thorough review as always. When will you review the dofreality motion platform?
true!
They also have a gt3 and dtm style wheel that doesn't have screens on it at all. Those also are about half the price. www.3drap.it/f1-rims/
they do
Barry, how do the clutches work on this compared to something like AR clutches?
Is this wheel compatible with the Accuforce Pro v2? If so does it come standard being able to work on the Accuforce quick release or do you need a special adapter to make it work?
I think there is a wheel side Accuforce adapter that will let you use any wheel with a 70mm bolt pattern. Using the original motor side QR.
Great review but prive does not seem fair.
Hey guys thrustmaster came out with a ssh handbrake compatible with xbox1 and ps4, my question is will this handbrake work with xbox1 for the TMX wheel?

LCD screen, Carbon Fiber, and stitched handles... This is 1/3rd the price of any competitive product. Everything must be overpriced to you.

It isnt fully 3d printed. It has aluminium plates for strenght.
great wheel, how much diameter has¿?
280 mm

Can this wheel be used with Fanatec wheel base 2.5 ?
This is a USB only wheel. Won't be able to connect it to the 2.5 wheelbase.

Is it compatible with Accuforce DD?
It's runs off its own USB interface, so you can use it with the Accuforce base, as long as you have a QR.
They say you can mount this to a logitech g29/920/27. I need to find a video showing me how to do this.
Try this: www.3drap.it/product/adapter-mozzo-hub-logitech-g29-g920/
Does it work on Xbox
I noticed those fpv racers in the background, do you have a second channel about those?
No.
Sim Racing Garage I want to see some of your flights :D
You can play in xbox one?
No, PC only.
What USB hub do you use?
Plugable powered usb hub. 4amp unit.
Sim Racing Garage do you have a link? I need a high powered unit but haven’t found anything suitable. Thanks
Barry. I love you. But do you think you could drive something other than that car at sebring for every single test? I know why you do it but it would be cool to see you drive a formula car with that rim.
With the thin carbon fiber plates I would hate to see what happens if an Osw wheel loses control and spins wildlessly. Finger sheesh kebab anyone?
They dont spin wildlessly, and if you crash you like you do in a real car, you get your hands off

I just didn't liked there's a very little buttons
