Don't compare yourself to someone else. You rock for doing the 3 mins! I probably couldn't run for a minute right now, but i dont feel bad about others running for 60 mins and calling it a short run. Everyone is doing different things and like the saying goes "don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle".

I'm allowing myself to say hi, and say that weight training doesn't *necessarily* helps with pull-ups. I got them before even stepping foot in a proper gym :)
Australian pull-ups (lower bar, you get under it and practice the move) are awesome to start practicing! I think Natacha has a tutorial on it, but I recommend thenx's tutorial too

My heart was hurting so hard listening to your frustration! I started my struggle with discs when I was a young mom twenty years ago. For anyone else reading this dealing with the pain and frustration of disc degeneration, in nearly all cases you CAN heal a disc without surgery! The trick is to do all you can when you can without pain. It takes some trial and error to learn what you need to avoid and be careful with (burpees for me or anything that requires folding in half). I sideline as a horse trainer and I compete in barrel racing at a pro level. There have been some periods where the disc has set me back, but I’ve been able to have a career and maintain a level of strength and fitness through it all these years. My best advice, do the PT exercises and gentle walking until you can move again, then do all you can as soon as you can without pain! Natacha is such an inspiration!!!!

Ive been watching Natacha's videos for a couple months now, maybe half a year because I got into doing HIIT workouts and she seemed to have a big influence on the TH-cam fitness community. Her mentality and outlook towards fitness has 100% changed how I feel about it too. And its only for the positive and has helped me to really find things I enjoy doing, I don't feel like excersising is a chore anymore and I don't hate myself if I don't do it. I think when it comes to fitness trainers and athletes, we so often see them at what seems to be their "peak" and forget that they had to train just like us and had to really work and train just as hard to get to where they are! Seeing your positive attitude in this video despite not being at the same level was honestly so encouraging 🥺 thank youuu for being so real and honest and lovely Natacha!!

You know how to capture your audience’s attention and keep it. All of your videos are so interesting because you incorporate very funny vlog style content as well (obvs they're interesting for other reasons as well). I just love how genuine and sweet you are. And I really admire your healthy mindset around fitness and nutrition. I’m so happy your back is finally better- I struggle with severe back issues as well after breaking my back in HS cheer. I cried watching this because I am so proud of Natacha. Her videos literally saved my life (I had a binge eating disorder from the time I was in 5th grade until 2020). Natacha deserves more than the world (Mario, too).
I'm a fine dining server and a guest at one of my tables the other night was talking so negatively about food and her body. I flipped a piece of paper over really fast and wrote down "Natacha Oceane" and told the lady to search that name on TH-cam and she would be forever changed if she watched Natacha's videos.
Natacha, you've changed so many lives around the world and for the better. If you ever feel down, please remember we all love you so much! x

I’m with you. I got burnout in may and was put on sick leave (just coming back to work now seven months later) and my body just collapsed in the fall. I got a disk protrusion in September and after that pretty much every muscle seized up so I’ve been constant (sometimes almost unbearable) pain for months (AND THE EFFING DAILY MIGRAINES FROM HELL 😭) and I’ve been forbidden from training at all. But soon. My muscles are almost there. Migraines are gone. Shout out to my chiro and my Thai masseuse. They’re the real MVPs. Your positive attitude really helps mine =) it’s been so hard to feel like I’m losing everything I’ve worked for and I’ve felt like I did something wrong but to see someone with your strong physique struggling with something similar is so helpful and hopeful to me (but awful for you). Thank you so much for sharing.

The fact that you are a bit weaker now might make you even more inspiring because you are at a starting point again just like so many of us are. Hi Natacha, I'm sad you got injured but this video is invaluable. We always see athletes competing no matter what and performing no matter what and the reality is that coming back from injury is hard and some days you can't do anything. I was a middle distance runner and was always in pain. I couldn't go down the stairs most days without holding on to the bannister. I got sick because of over training and being run down and ended up with a flu that lasted 4 weeks. I lost a lot of weight because of a fever and not eating much, when I came back again I was told that my weight was perfect for running and was told to not gain the weight back again. At that point I realised how toxic sport can be for men and women. Seeing you bounce back and approach everything with optimism is wonderful, thank you for sharing your journey and story. I have anorexia and will do forever, to be honest it is the drive to succeed (even through starving myself) that made me competitive in the first place and I have to harness that same thing and channel it into something better. You went through the this too and have made an invaluable contribution to the story of athletes. Hope you have a great recovery and enjoy the small achievements, I never could but I'm learning from people like you.

Your hair is so gorgeous in the waves! 😍BTW girl you not working out looks amazing, I know it's undeniable mental control over us. The endorphins, that high you get when finished a great session wiping the sweat from your lip barely anything beats that. It will take you a miniscule amount of time to get back to the mentally sound and harder physic you crave. You got this!

this made me pretty emotional, I can't imagine how you must have felt for the whole year and I did tear up when you mentioned how Mario has been your biggest support because honestly you deserve it, you're so cute!
this also feels really motivating, I had severe neck pain a couple of weeks ago and even if it didn't last for more than 3 days, it was depressing because how much it hurt and not being able to move at all and the loss of confidence in myself after getting back to working out is definetly there too.
But I believe that by taking it easy and building up the strenghts again will lead to a much stronger confidence and appreciation of what our bodies can do.

It’s been almost a year since I got sick. I used to play tennis couple times a week and it was the only thing that made me feel so happy. It was like my dream come true. And I was thinking - I’m gonna win something, I don’t care what other people say („you started playing too late, you’re not gonna win anything”). And yeah, I thought - I’m going to prove something to all of them. And then I got sick. My hand started swelling and couple months later I felt pain everywhere. I couldn’t even put jeans on, because my leg was hurting so much. Last time, when I played tennis, it was August. And I don’t know when I’m going to come back. I feel like my doctors don’t really care about me. I still feel pain in my leg. I’m just 16 and I already know what does it mean, that you’re not able to do something. And there’s nothing you can do about it. I am so jealous and happy for you at the same time. I hope that you’re gonna get better and better with every single day.
    Lots of love 💕💕

I really appreciate you posting something as vulnerable as your first workout back after recovering. I participate in a very dangerous sport (BJJ) and I have been injured SO many times it's unbelievable. In the past three years, I've broken my hand. Sprained my thumb. Torn my quad tendon. Needed surgery to remove a knee bursa that developed a staph infection after recurrent bursitis. I'm always amazed at two things: 1. how difficult the first workout back is (3 chin ups felt almost impossible after surgery recovery and complete bed rest) and 2. how quickly I spring back once I am able to train again. I'm sure you know that endurance with stuff like push ups and pull ups is slower to return than strength! I'm staying motivated right now by doing weighted chin and pull ups, as somehow those are easier than trying to approach old rep goals.

What I really love most about your videos is that you're positive and have a happy mindset and this motivates me so much, because when I was younger I was like that too and then I got bullied because of my weight and all of a sudden I thought so negatively about myself, my body and the whole world. Before I loved to move and dance and as soon as I got bullied my mood went negative and always nippicking on my body and appearance. Me working out or doing sports felt negative and like a force because my only goal was losing weight to me. I also never lost anything I always gained fat because I restricted my food and it backfired in me eating more cheat meals and being stressed about that....
As you said sport and movement can be for fun and be something you want to do instead of forcing yourself, I remembered that I really love to move my body and dance and I should put the fun movements in my workout. With watching your videos I feel I have learned so much about nutrition, food, sport and myself as a human being that I want to thank you. :)

I've been watching you for a few years with so much envy. I have a history of a bad back and have had 3 spine surgeries on my discs (lumbar) since 2017. So to find someone else (young like me im only 22) who I can relate to on so many levels (body changing without really being able to do anything about it, missing hard workouts, the struggle of building back up, and most importantly the fear of it all happening again) is honestly life changing. I was a gymnast as a kid and thats what started it all and my family are all insane athletes, so they've had to watch me since I was 13 limit my activities. I had surgery in August 2020 so im building back up with you! Ive done it before and got to feeling myself again so I know we can both do it! were in this together and its so amazing for me to find this because its so hard to talk to anyone my age who either has never had a bad injury or doesn't love/live to workout. I was diagnosed with two prolapsed discs in October 21. I still cannot stand up for longer than about 3 or 4 mins without being in pain. I can walk about 100 yards max. I’m exercising every day in the swimming pool - aqua jogging not swimming- to extend and decompress my back. Osteopath is fab but she is slightly concerned that I’m not improving as fast as she had hoped. I’m now waiting on a referral to neurological surgeon and orthopaedics in case I’m still in this state in 6 months or more. I used to cycle for 45-75 mins a day and walk a min of 60 mins a day with my dog. It is really depressing not to be able to do these things. I can’t lift anything heavier than a jar of jam so the idea of doing weights is massively exciting. The pool work is great for core and resistance in arms and legs but it is not really cardio work. Well done for your recovery. I bet it feels awesome!
