If air backfeeds will it cause your aripressure to drop? If air backfeeds it will go back into compressor making it harder/difficult to find a leak? I dont live in cold weather, actually extremely hot sun FL... I do drain my tanks weekly. Help on sugestions... might need to try new replacement SMC valves...

Because the 485C uses a 3/8 NPT Male leader line, if we were going to upgrade the check valve, we would recommend a 3/8" Check valve.

Can I service the pre-installed check valves that come with the compressor's leader hose?!

Unfortunately the pre-installed check valves are not serviceable, you'll want to replace it if it's gone bad.

They do but they aren't as reliable. Especially if you plan to drive the vehicle in cold weather. The ones included with VIair compressors can freeze in cold temperatures or become faulty over a shorter time. Causing issues with fuses and/or compressors.
I'm in Oklahoma , rarely do we have negative below temperatures but we do experience snow and ice storms during the winter. I personally don't air out my vehicle on super cold days but I upgraded my SMC check valves regardless as they last longer, they can be repaired and they are only $23.00 . That's a cheap price for peace of mind.
