I'm very interested in doing this myself for a friend's birthday. Great idea! Can I ask how much (dark blue) paracord you ended up using -- roughly? Edit: about 14'. Thank you.
I am a beginner at this. I needed something to occupy my time and keep my arthritic hands moving since retiring. This is a great idea for a key chain that I will be trying out in the near future as soon as I can get the cord. I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos.
For metric users, M8 nuts work as well. I'd say allow a bit of extra distance between the buckle ends at the start (perhaps an extra 1/4 inch) because this seems to tighten up as you go along, mine ended up slightly too small. If you want to make sure that the nuts stay lined up you could thread some micro paracord through the nuts themselves as an extra "accent". That would also stop the metal from pinching your wrist. I used alternating Zinc / Nyloc nuts to add a bit of variation to the look. Pretty cool design.

I’d like to take time to thank you for making this video. I’ve made numerous paracord bracelet designs and this one along with the iktomi spider bracelets are favorites. The hex design I focused on to honor my step-dad who transitioned 3 yrs ago. He was hard working his entire life and I only wish I could’ve made one for him when he was alive. As a Veteran I started making simple drab Army green cords and have been addicted to making all types of now. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
To begin with I love your videos and keep them coming! In this instance however, survival is all about quick accessibility and easy deployment in all conditions. During inclement weather while fingers are cold or half frozen, you'll lose the dexterity needed to deploy/untie this quickly. When the cord is needed for lashing branches and basic emergency structures ease of deployment is vital. While I give it a 10+ on the nifty scale (as I have followed along and will tie several more) I would have to give it a zero for the survival side as it is just not feasible to deploy in cold weather, with gloves or any other circumstances where dexterity can be affected. For those of you looking for survival tips for paracord storage, quick and easy deployment in all scenarios is key. Otherwise, excellent videos and I will keep recommending your channel to friends, coworkers and the like!
I just made this bracelet with army green and accent with florescent orange it looks fantastic I like your bracelets and I am going to make more of them.
Your instructions are GREAT ! I made three differnet of your bracelets in one rainy day. You must have been a teacher, because your directions are so clear and easy to follow. I wish you would do a Turk's Head tutorial as well. thanks, Jess
Love your videos. Keep them coming. One thing I'd like to see is for you to get consistent with giving the length of all the different cord, buckle size, complete material list at the beginning of the videos. It took you 12 mins into this one to tell us that you were using a 5/8" buckle. Thanks.
Yes! Completely agree! I'm currently frustrated because I'm having to rewatch the whole video to find a specific detail I needed that should have been at the very beginning of the video. A quick "These are the materials I'm using" segment at the beginning would be very helpful!
nice job. looks really great and the video quality is outstanding. thanks for sharing. dont take this on a wrong way pls, but one short comment on what you said at 11:47, if you turn/flip anything around 360 degree then it does look at the same direction just like before. what you have done was 180 degree.
Just made two of these for friends of my son for graduation presents. Takes a little practice, but looks very cool, thanks! And you lose about 1/4" on the length of it after it's tied, just so people know.
I was at the dollar store and noticed they sold a Twenty five foot bundle of paracord in different colors. I bought two bundles and looked up your video and wouldn't you know it? I made my first paracord bracelet!
I love your design! great video with clear instructions as well. I have made this bracelet many times, my son love it. now I am going to attempt to use this pattern for a belt, I am a bit intimidated by the amount of paracord I probably overestimated to use. any ideas on how to keep cords from tangling as I am using them? again thanks for the great video!
wish you would talk about wrist size and length after all the work i put into this i ended up being to small for my wrist even though i added an inch larger to start with what a pain in the ,,..,
All of your videos are very good. I made this bracelet but had to redo it and make the hex nuts loose against each other. If they are tight against each other they will pop up at different place because it is too stiff to bend.
I like your nuts, you can totally use them to survive. I read about someone who survived on nuts and berries, alone in the woods for a whole week! I didn't learn survival yet so I have not yet tried it but some day I will!
Just completed this. Used 10 feet with about 18 inches left over. The 550 cord was too wide for me so I used 325 cord. This was much easier than it looks. Thanks for the video. Couldn't find stainless steel hex nuts. A box of 100 was $5.98 for the 1/4 and another dollar for the 5/16. I used the 1/4 for the 325 cord.. Will use 5/16 for the 550 if I get customers requesting it.
Nice! Spend the extra buck or two and use stainless hex nuts. Zinc will eventually rust. That's another way to play with your nuts. :-O Just kidding. Couldn't help myself. LOL
I made this without the second color and it turned out great! Your videos are very well done and easy enough for even me to follow. You should do a steering wheel wrap video. The ones currently on TH-cam really suck. I am sure it would get a lot of views. I will be looking forward to it.
jut made this for my son he loves it!!!!! only thing i used my normal measurements and almost thought i made it to small this one seemded to shrink as i was making besides that i also gutted a third color and weaved it in and out of the nuts thanks for this great design
I just started doing paracord bracelets and never knew you could integrate anything other that a compass or something simple into the bracelet, you have made something that is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen. Nice job.
Late reply. It's a "double jointed" thing. It's also called hitch hikers thumb. Both of mine do it. They go back about 90°. Being double jointed just means the muscles are looser allowing for greater flexibility. In some cases it shows like this where joints bend in excess in the wrong direction.
His entire hands and their movements, childlike appearance, inflammation, in stark contrast, antithetical to the tone of his adult voice and cadence. The brilliant lessons balance it all out though.
I enjoy ur vids but i have to point out that at the 11:50 min mark u say to flip ur bracelet 360*, well that would put us right back where we started...I do believe u meant to say to flip it 180*, that would be only half way around...lol...had to point that out...keep up the good work.
Thanks for the great video!..I made my bracelet with black plastic hex nuts instead of stainless steel and used a black and a "darker" blue paracord. IMO, the combination of colors looks better and the bracelet is not to shinny, plus it feels lighter on my wrist.
+idris anonimos You realize that BoredParacord MADE this video on how to make this.. and here your trying to sell to him. LOL Another LOL for trying to sell it a year later to a person who sells paracords!
Well OBVIOUSLY it's a hex nut survival bracelet. You never know when your very LIFE might depend on having some sturdy hex nuts available on hand. And BAM! They actually ARE on your hand. This is SO awesome.
I just made one it was fun and easy. But when you put it on the hex nuts like to slide and not stay lined up it will pop out of place. The 2nd will start you slide under the hex nut. So if you make this maybe go one size down of a 5/16
Very awesome. I took your idea and mixed it with a double cobra and gave myself and my husband unique, pimp bracelets. Condolences for your loss! 🙏
These paracord bracelets with additional holed materials are always the best, I remember making that in highschool 7 years ago

Yea no one is making this for survival purposes dude. It's clearly a cosmetic design.
Thanks for the video.
I used stainless 1/4" nuts. Looks good off my wrist.
Wearing it the nuts jump out of formation.
Hi im trying to make a paracord bracelet for my fitbit versa can you help me out im lost on how to thanks in advance
you sir are one bad ass bracelet maker!!!!!
I just made this bracelet. Black with orange accent. The orange was a little long so I wove one strand thru the nuts to the other end. Looks great.
Great stitch, I just used it to make a 5' 1" guitar strap. (74' total cord, and 121 hex nuts).
Startled Reptile any pics ? I'm a guitar player and have thought about making one. Love to see how it turned out
A Very Useful Video
I just made this bracelet with army green and accent with florescent orange it looks fantastic I like your bracelets and I am going to make more of them.
how much paracord did you use??
Donald Gladu.

Now there's a "manly" Bracelet! I really like this!
Can you make a playlist of brackets that DON'T require buckles?

I made five such bracelets with different colors. everyone likes my creation.
thank you ☺

you are so good at this! of all the tutorials I've seen only this guy could show me how to make a regular paracord bracelet.
I like your nuts, you can totally use them to survive. I read about someone who survived on nuts and berries, alone in the woods for a whole week! I didn't learn survival yet so I have not yet tried it but some day I will!
if you flip the bracelet 360° it's setting the same way it originally was. @11:45

I will make this next week. I am excited. hopefully I make it. hehe
what make of paracord is the best to do this??? I noticed not all have the same quality!!!
its like a paracord-braclet and nuckles in one
Your left thumb freaks me out. Did you break it? It bends back so far! :o
Great looking bracelet by the way, thanks for the clear instructions.

Can you Make a Video how to melt 2 paracords together?:)
Im only having Problems wih that thing...
Don't bother melting them use the Manny method or the strap knot he's rid of those ungodly globs of nylon and it less likely to burn yourself
Joe Jack helps* stupid auto correct
That’s Dope!! Thank you for sharing.
180 deg. like if you agree =)
My favorite bracelet so far. Thanks for the video
Paracord wrapping, also known as man knitting.
Thank you going to make this one for my hubby for Christmas..
but u didnt explain how u can use it for survival
JUST AN ART CHANNEL what if you need a nut? (No pun intended)
JUST AN ART CHANNEL exactly! How tf this supposed to help somebody survive? 😂🤦♂
I'd use the nut for a fishing weight.
You can undo the bracelet and use the paracord .
JUST AN ART CHANNEL U can throw it at an animal as weapon or something like that
Hex nuts are awesome slingshot ammo
Yeah flip the bracelet 360 wouldn't that makes no changes I think you mean 180.
You can use the hex nuts for sinkers when fishing
muito bom seus videos mais nao entendo nada! Brasil

Wow. Definitely on my list. Almost like lightweight brass knuckles if you needed them.....or there for fixing that swingset
I'm in Africa i searshed for paracords every where :( i found none

Well OBVIOUSLY it's a hex nut survival bracelet. You never know when your very LIFE might depend on having some sturdy hex nuts available on hand.

Rolando Paolo San Antonio to wear
MasterBata wow!! I'm scared and yet I want to make one if I every have the time... what was used as string?
bob fogh I meant what can it be used for excluding that
This would look good with brass nuts as well. I also think that cerakoted black nuts (with appropriate color paracord) would be cool.
I just made one it was fun and easy. But when you put it on the hex nuts like to slide and not stay lined up it will pop out of place. The 2nd will start you slide under the hex nut. So if you make this maybe go one size down of a 5/16
Loving this Paracord Survival Bracelet!
Ok. Now this is actually useful as a self defence bracelet.. You know, backfisting people with your wrist.
Very awesome. I took your idea and mixed it with a double cobra and gave myself and my husband unique, pimp bracelets. I want to make a video and will definitely give you and Kevin full credit and the person who showed me how to make the cobra. I find my bracelet to be super wide and thin, not bulky at all which is exactly what my husband and I wanted. His is camo and black and mine is hot pink and black. I'll post a picture when I have a chance. I really appreciate your videos, thank you for being clear and easy to follow.

GREAT GREAT GREAT tutorial Shawn!!!!! Once again, you are always sharing and giving back by showing others.....AWESOME!! I've done the 22 bullet shells but not the hex nut.....I'm on my way out just to get some in about 10 minutes. Thanks again for another great how-to!!!!!
i tried it with the smaller hex nuts but think it looks alot cooler with bigger ones. thanks for the video!
You are a good instructor..
Very nice I'll have to try this by the way I have been paracording for about three years and I have never see anything like this keep it up!!!!
Have you done one of these hex nut bracelets with the nuts turned on the side so the flat part is on the outside? I would love to see how that one is done too.. ;)
Do you just measure your wrist and use that measurement or is there a deduction or addition to the wrist measurement?
Love your work/videos and your voice is so soothing haha much love!
By far, the easiest to make. Almost unbearable as I have a phobia for pulling string or rope through anything. But I did it! It looks and feels fuggin awesome. Thank you kindly for showing how.
