I'm a huge fan of the absolute respect these guys give bill burr. For example in the first 14 minutes I can count about 5 or more times Pat was about to say something and went "no, let this genius work this is gold."
It wasn't a salty cutoff either, every single time he started to say something and Bill went to continue his thought Pat adopted a look of pure joy hahaha.

I got to see Bill in a small theater in a rural college town about 7-8 years ago. The crowd wasn't vibrant with his set and he even got booed a little. He fed off it and started just hammering the crowd and playing off of it and it turned great.

I'm pretty sure I was the miserable dude passing him by in first class going to coach on a 18 hr flight in one of his bits. Probably not but, brings a smile to my face😂
Bill is one of the only hosts who understands how to make ad reads enjoyable. No one wants to sit through 30 second corporate speak about some company that probably doesn't solve a current need in your life. But if you make it funny, I'll keep listening which increases brand awareness to larger audiences.

Bill roasting the crew calling them interns had me dying.
Burr’s knowledge of Football history is pretty impressive, on the MMP he sometimes would ramble for a good 15 min or more about a football stats or other things.

Dude knows the history of all major team sports in the US. NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL.
He always says how much sports history he delves into and you can hear it for yourself in his podcasts...he has an encyclopedic memory when it comes to sports history in football and hockey

i remember him in one of my all time favourite sketches on the Dave Chappelle show, it's called the racial draft, where different races, white, black, asian etc all choose who they want to represent them, it also features members of the Wu-Tang Clan, it's still up on YT somewhere, it's epic

Kudos to Ty for "plowin' ahead" with that question. And I love that whenever Bill does this on pods where he will smash an "intern" as he describes the boys or a secondary host, he will always spend a little more time answering their question afterwards. Then immediately return to smashing the host.

I saw Bill on the Mandalorian. he absolutely deserved to be there. He killed it. Like, it was downright shocking how good he was in his last episode. I am a Burr fan and I was still downright shocked.
There was a scene where he faced down the Star Wars equivalent of Amon Geoth over a dinner table and only someone like Daniel Day Lewis was going to do much better.
That episode and season was the best. I truly don’t want another season. Let it go on that high note. Bill acting was stellar. He truly embodied the 100 yard stare, the blink expression before reacting and just his delivery. Dude was amazing. Plus F is for Family is stupid funny.

Caught Bill live at the Pittsburgh Improv around 2005 and there was barely 50 people in the crowd. His set still crushed and I'm glad to see such a great comic get the success he deserves.

I love Billy burr, but my takeaway from the interview is what a good guy Pat is. I'm sure he really admires Burr, but Macafee is such a genuinely decent, deferential, kind and hilarious guy, and it shows every day of the show.
