    I love seeing that he doesn't have the newest of the new computers, converters, clocks and all. There is so much debate on those things, that it gets annoying. A lot of inspiration comes from this guy.

    Who doesn't love Bob! Cool getting to see a little bit more of his space like his machine room than I've seen in prior tours. Good stuff!

    Late 90's.......We were loaded into a van at the Apogee Factory and were driving through the hills...... Arrived at a House and as we approached the Door Opened and there was Bob Clearmountain standing before us. I'll never forget that day he is a truly humble and giving person. After the stories of how he got the board in there and the usual Apogee Stuff we were invited to venture into the reverb chamber ect ect. The vibe in that studio was a dream for me.

    Bob says that the first recording that the did in this room was "Streets of Philadelphia" ,by Bruce Springsteen. As per many of Bob's recordings, this one is pure audiophile (for rock/pop recordings). Thanks, Bob !

    I love seeing Bob interviewed - as a recording hobbyist and hope-to-be retiree within the next year or so, nothing would make me happier than to apprentice with him over the next 10 years. How very much he could teach a person willing to learn.

    My home studio, with a 72 input SSL. He says that so casually. This is a beautiful studio. I just dream of having a minor amount of the fantastic gear that Bob has. Thanks for this video. It's killer! Bob is one of the nicest people on the planet. He makes me happy that I have a small home studio. Now, where would I put that big mixer? Hmmm!

    This home recording studio is also suitable for a state-of-the-art recording studio in a commercial building. The floor space is usually larger than a home studio, even in a mansion. I am still interested in the skill of sound reproduction. I hoped to see the inside of a recording studio to know the sounds there as compared to a radio station, or high-fidelity components system. The "Mix This" studio looks boss! Bob Clearmountain, I hope you will keep your Solid State Logic console.

  • @hummarstraful
    @hummarstraful ปีที่แล้ว

    Dirty little secret. When Andrew Masters did the studio tour of Clearmountain's main studio at Apogee, Bob didn't even have his own Clearmountains Domain plugin installed on the computer lol. He doesn't really use it.

    He should invest in better monitor loudspeakers, because the ones he is using, I would not touch with a barge pole, as they all have very average or worse than average sound quality, not having high resolution, transparency, or good timing ability, etc, etc.
