Well, you are so right. I had the great pleasure of attending a webinar with him on how to make an EP last year through Graham from Recording Revolution which was supposed to be sort of 3-hour long or so. It went on for close to 9 hours! With him giving it all and repeatedly saying: 'This isn't over until it's over.' or something like that, answering all the questions in detail. being open, etc. I've hardly ever seen such a level of commitment and humility at the same time. Although, in my experience, this is a trait of real talents and professionals - at least those I met - which goes beyond the I-gotta-play-nice attitude with the audience or interviewer.
I had the pleasure of working on the Citizen King record and another unreleased project with Jacquire , he was an amazing mentor. Both him and Eric Valentine I would still drop everything and work for either of them. Real Engineers.
This was one of the coolest and most informative interviews I've ever heard on music production. Jacquire is an amazingly humble and transparent music production expert, would love to sit in the corner for a year, say nothing and just learn. Thanks a million for this!
Jacquire exudes knowledge... but also seems like a really kind, charming and calm individual. The kind of dude that anybody would be blessed to learn from.
Ahh, those interviews are better than any movie I can think of. Thanks again Warren for another trip to a beatiful place! Jacquire is such a lovely guy. He once did a Mix with the Masters session at France just at the time when I was there on vacation. The stupid thing about it: I didn't know until after I got home - ahhhh! 😫
mule variatons was my first real tom waits moment. Absolutely fantastic record. I still remember the first time I heard "take it With me." I had no Choice but to surrender to the tears. Very few songs have moved me like that one. It must have been quite the experience to be a part of the making of that record.
This came back into my feed today ... watched it again .. so good. Insight, humility, talent from you both. A pleasure to watch. I was happy to see he also has a classic 30 .. love that amp, distressors, love my pair .... will have to now convince myself (again) I don't need the Amphions! Thanks for putting this together.
Great interview! Really enjoyed the down to earth conversation. I love how you guys touched on live mixing a bit too...I still remember my first live "sound guy" gig to this day.
I know this is an old video but just had to say how great an interview it was. I've watched a lot of Jacquire videos and this is THE BEST! Thanks Warren!
A lot of engineers: „I won x Grammy‘s, look how great I am.“ Jacquire: „I am trying to stay as undercover as possible.“ And this describes him pretty well. What a humble yet talented guy!
Hello Warren, don't know if you will read this but thank you so much for these videos! Your studio tour and interviews are so helpful, talking about things that apply to the real world instead of just gadgets and another piece of gear that you need. The insight you and your guests provide are sometimes "WAAAAAAY" more helpful than any mixing lesson. It's wonderful to hear how the professionals deal with people and how they approach recording. Thank you again!
Both videos with this engineer are excellent. I really enjoyed the depth of information and detail in both of them. The Recycler was the LA classifieds publication. Gigs and gear were in every issue.
Amazing, Jacquire sharing so much. Full on tour de force of his humble 'home" studio. So revealing snd sharing, all the way from consoles, to mics, to guitar pedals. Nashville is no doubt the music epicenter of the US, and such a great artist's community...
What a fantastic interview. It was really great hearing how Mr. King got started and his journey to where he is now. Such a nice down to earth guy, very genuine.
Wonderful, y’all brought mi back witt this one, Bimbos, Rodante’s and the NCO on the Pseudo, man we used to go clubbing at these places back in the 80s and 90s, wonderful bands and the music was always tight!!!!!Sitrukain.
This is the stuff :D and in-depth! You deserve awards, i mean that, for giving again and again to a community where only 2 decades ago it was a real struggle to find good and solid information, and 3 decades ago close to impossible. Besides, perfect for procrastinating while your songwriting ideas don't get past the 16 bar loop and your daw is giving you stupid looks.
I used to gig with a Peavey Classic 50 4x10. I semi-retired and sold most everything off a few years ago and am getting back into it all again. Will probably get a Peavey Delta Blues when funds permit (15" speaker version of the Classic 30 with a 12" speaker.) GREAT amps!
Another incredible interview and studio tour! Thanks so much for this Warren. I just love learning about his process and career path. Thank you Jacquire for showing us your space. BTW I'm an older guy and remember the MOTU Midi Time Piece.
Mixed a great local band called "Dog Heaven" and the drummer had a 3" x 13" hammered brass snare that was like the report of a large caliber rifle. I was never able to run the snare through the PA in the small venues and literally had to mix around the snare drum stage volume every night. Huge learning experience, and like these great studio guys, I learned I'd much rather perform or record and leave FOH/monitors to people that really like doing live sound.
Loved that and the tour fantastic, and is that the first time we've seen mics still boxed in containers and labelled, beautiful. love how the whole house has become the studio :)
man i saved the use somebody video for today and then boom it was gone. kinda disappointed that the record company didnt let you use the song to educate people. a whole episode i missed! christ
Jacquire! - I Fixed my H3500 by (unplugging) and opening and just pressing down on all the chips - oxidation builds up and sometimes they have a hard time "talking" to each other - - make sure you get the ones under the sampling board.
This made my ears stand up, when you commented on Eric Valentine's EQ'ing skills, I thought 'hell yeah I'd been saying that for years, him and Jacquire kIng'. So I was blown away when I heard in this vid that these two kats had worked together. Wonder if that is why I had formed my opinion? In terms of who we can have next, I think Randy Staub really needs to become a PLAPER! I reckon Ross Robinson would be great too. Can we manage Quincy??? Teddy Riley!!!
Hi, I'm mixing a song for somebody and I was actually using the song "Use Somebody" as a reference. I'm really interested in seeing the "Inside the song" video you mentioned in this video. I haven't been able to find it anywhere! I'd really like to learn more about the process of that song. Love your channel! Thanks!
Wow, The Recording Workshop! Haven't heard about that in years. I was already married/kids by that point and there was no way I could go but I fantasized about that for a long time. Crazy cool to think it's possible I might've been there the same time as people like Jaquire King, had I been able to go.
There's a guitar repairman (Martin authorized) who lives in Franklin, TN. His name is Richard Starkey. No, not THAT Richard Starkey. Very cool guy, great tech and great guitar player as well. I believe Phil Keaggy also lives in/around Franklin.
Well, I'm available...but I'm afraid it would be a short, 5-minute interview, based on my limited knowledge and equipment. I enjoy all of the various people you speak to, Warren. It's an education in itself. Perhaps an artist who records him/herself in his/her own home studio would be beneficial to those of us smaller fish out in the vast recording ocean. Thanks for what you do. One of my most regular dtops on TH-cam.
Who would you like to see on the channel next?!
Jordan Valeriote from Hardcore Music Studio!
Get Charles Moniz!
Reinhold Mack
Danger Mouse
Duane Baron

Can't believe how open, honest, and humble this guy is. Great storyteller: he speaks with intent too.

Agreed, Jacquire is a wonderful guy!

Mule Variations is genius. I would love to have witnessed any of the making of that record. Great interview.
You guys we are watching a legend interviewing a legend 🙌
Born and raised in San Francisco, loved hearing all the stories of the SF music scene from when I was a kid.

After watching this I'm convinced that Jacquire is my spirit animal.
One of the nicest people I’ve ever met and one of few who ever beat me at golf!!!!
Haha I'm awful at Golf!
super nice dude, cool stories, very informative. as always excellent job warren, thank you!
That man is so chill. Just a real bloke like the rest of us.

Hi Terry! Glad you enjoyed it!
One of the most good time expending in my day, watching this video was just like a big workshop to me. Thanks Warren Huart and Jacquire King.

Amazing as usual! I’ve been a fan from the beginning and these studio tours and interviews have always been my favorite. Thanks so much Warren. 🖖🏻
Best interview you've made! What an extremely nice guy Jacquire is. Thank you for this!
One of my fav if not favorite mixing engineers ever! Also great and nice guy! Thank You Warren for that
Your videos with Jacquire are exceptional - down to earth and recording nerdy all at once. Really enjoyed them, Warren!
That was a real treat, very educational. Thanks both of you.
Awesome interview and studio tour -- love it.

Awesome interview and tour! Gotta love the fact that a 3x Grammy winner uses budget Behringer stuff for foldback!
Wanted to see the kings of leon video but looks like it was taken down for copyright reasons which is a huge bummer. Loved the video Warren, thanks!
81awesomeness I am looking for it right now. Dang.
Your videos have made my tv useless, simply great. You should win a grammy in the category "youtube videos" !
This was a fucking great interview. No bs, just pros talking. Great watch.
Wow! Thanks ever so much
Another incredible interview and studio tour! Thanks so much for this Warren. I just love learning about his process and career path. Thank you Jacquire for showing us your space. BTW I'm an older guy and remember the MOTU Midi Time Piece.

Hi Blue Matrix I agree 100% my friend!
Please bring back the "Use Somebody" video. I was learning so much, but I wasn't able to finish it and now is gone
And thanks Jacquire!
Met Jacquire at Sweetwater Gear Fest 2019. He is the nicest cat around. Sat in the seminar with him and Fab. Cool seminar.
Loved that and the tour fantastic, and is that the first time we've seen mics still boxed in containers and labelled, beautiful. love how the whole house has become the studio :)
This was great, thank you!
Anyone have a download link for the Use Somebody breakdown he mentioned in the beginning of the video?
The Recycler! I started a band with an ad in it and sold and bought gear from it. I love these videos. Thanks!
Wonderful interview ty !
These interviews are the best. I always want to record and mix after I watched it.
Keep them coming :)
