Yep, I know you love your mountains as much as I do, but sometimes the water and sea ports just call your name and bring you home.
Loved all the history and seeing all the boats in the marina. The Wild Goose and the Duffy boats were my favs for totally different reasons. The Duffy boats are just so darn cute. And well, then of course there’s John Wayne. Who can top that. 😂😂.

The wild goose is very close to my heart. I used to see John Wayne go out on it all the time when I was young. And yes I'm that old lol
My nephew just got married at the Balboa Bay Club last Saturday. Beautiful area. You did a great job showing us the area.👍👍👍

I love the Balboa Pavilion, Beautiful. Those little Duffy boats are great, and the fact that you can hire them makes it accessible for all. That black boat is sleek and stunning. Some lovely homes on the Bay. I love the City interpretive centre, which looks like a lighthouse. Those Sea Lions are cute. They certainly like the Buoy. Newport is home for me. I love going home at least once a year.
Back home for a visit. Did it make you home sick or happy to go back to Colorado ?....LOL. A great way to see Balboa and Newport. Isn't it sad that only the older folks remember the Calypso. Did not know the Wild Goose was still in operation. it truly is a shining star. Part of the fun of legends is believing them. I think the way you cruised around the harbor is the best way to go.
I spend 48 hours at home and so ready to come back to CO. LOL. Yes Calypso is not known by any of the younger gens. I have gone on the dinner tours on the Goose. It is fun. Thank you so much for watching
This was a cool harbor cruise. I"ve never been to Newport Beach it's beautiful there. The Wild Goose was awesome to see and learn about. You always pack so much into your vlogs❤
John Wayne was a very well respected member of our community. He is buried up on the hill close to my dad. I am hoping to do a video on going to visit both of them.

I love the name the Wild Goose. When I was younger way younger I was a vet tech and a dog groomer in the name of my dog grooming business was wild goose Express. 😂. What a fun trip! The Duffy boat is just our speed! Man, our last visit to SoCal was in 2018 as we stayed in Huntington Beach for a music event. We almost rented a boat in Newport Beach but ran out of time. Will definitely have to next time there. Love the history you provided. Very cool and love the idea of beer can races! Or, empty keg races 😆

Good afternoon! Great video, love all the footage from the boat and really love seeing the places lit up at night. Looks like an absolutely amazing place to visit. Would be better to live there I imagine. Dang there were some nice yachts. Thanks for sharing the beautiful views with us! That is really my dream to live on a boat. Doesn't have to be as fancy as those by any means, just something to call home. Neat that you got John Wayne's old yacht. Your videos are always so full of great information on everything you show.
