the fact that smelly got passed 93 is a fucking miracle. Especially when you read the book and realise every lyric in this song is what happened to him. Also love that the book came out just before the album so the album basically complimented the book as many of the topics or stories were connected. All hail smelly one of the nicest dudes in punk rock

Melvin is awesome - just his own worst enemy. When I saw them for the first time he jumped off an Amp like a minute into the opening set. He must hsve been a little messed up or just misjudged it and fucked his ankle up enough to where he psssed off his guitar to s tech and got onto a cart and rode off ... on the *first song* - had to bail. Mike and hefe were obviously very pissed off and kinda trying to wing it doing what they could but people in the crowd are never very understanding about whatever situation especially if its mixed bag at an all sorts festival...they just wound up getting boos and other people yelling shit until they said fuck it and cut their set short. I was fuckin sad about it. just so so bummed out one of my all time favorite bands & reason I went to the fest for played like 2 and a half songs and bailed. I got to see them a few years later where that didnt happen...and it was like night and day different as an experience. Melvin didn't biff any jumps. Band was all tight in timing. nobody in the crowd got bored etc So two sides of a coin. When he's on his game Melvin adds *a lot* to the mix. I love when he sings too. Just sadly...With drugs drinks etc that just unfortunately was a dice roll if you got too fucked up Melvin getting carted off to the lemonade shack for a bag of ice and a slurpee or dialed in Melvin killing it and being the oil keeping the engine running smooth

I love both of their voices for their own reasons. I do agree Melvin should sing more. He's so good. His voice has drastically improved and his shredding skills have always been awesome. Him and Hefe - nothing like their guitar sounds together. Also Hefe has a great voice and doesn't sing nearly as much harder stuff as he should. His light harder vocal verses at the end of Separation of church and skate are badass
I spent a lifetime on dope 2 years homeless in Cincinnati a year strung out on fentanyl and some heroin and it felt like a lifetime. This song rocks. Alot of music from them, Nirvana, and Pat the Bunny make so much sense now and hit home. Even Leftover Crack after smoking crack out there.
