As a 36 year old woman, I absolutely ADORE this foundation. It feels like next to nothing, is amazingly radiant, covers enough for me without looking heavy ever, and I personally have never noticed a fragrance (there probably is BUT my skin is very sensitive to fragrance and SPF and have gotten no bumps that I typically get with those 2.)
BUT (hoping the brand sees these reviews) The lightest shade is NOT LIGHT ENOUGH. It barely works for me and I'm more fair in December-February. Yes, there's tons of shades, but I only see ONE fair shade. I apologize for the caps lock but, again, I hope the brand is smart and looks at TH-cam reviews and comments.

Michelle Smithi just turned 38and I've been excited to try it since it came out and l'oreal foundation NEVER used to work for me. I've loved their mascara and eye products for years and even some lip products but I was one who thought no drug store foundation was really any good, if it looked good as far as coverage the shade was off or it just didn't last or just didn't look the same, SO many good drugstore brands have came out in the last few years, I've tried so many and MOST I love but l'oreal just seemed to always go orange on me....then I tried the fresh wear due to everyone raving about it and I fell in love! I found myself reaching for it over my high end ones, so I have high hopes for this!! Pricey for DS imo but less than half of it cosmetics cc cream that I love and it gives me those vibes, hopefully it will even last longer bc that's my only complaint with the illumination one, it looks good for maybe 3 hours, I even love the packaging of this and some have commented it's not light enough but at my palest I'm a light medium in most everything so fingers crossed!
@@rissadawn2047 I *think* you might be in luck. I have the same kinda issue with the IT CCs and, for me the difference is coverage. Full coverage just doesn't wear as well on me anymore. This one here is more medium, like Taylor said, but it just is so nice on the skin that it sort of seems to have more coverage than it really does. This wears really well for me, as my skin is these days. Hope you fall in foundation love! 😉
Plenty of makeup brands have white foudation mixer that lightens the foundation. I like to use l.a girl brand and it's just pigments

We all react so different. I barely put makeup on once or twice a week. But ever since I’m home for quarantine, I put makeup on every single day, Just for 2-3 hours. I like to play with my eye looks and now I can do it more often , I guess

Did she talk about .......... foundation?” And for some reason it really just made me crack up 😂 This totally looks like a product I would enjoy in place of the It Cosmetics Illuminating CC Cream. It seems comparable and a more affordable option.

I am 45 and have DRY skin. I LOVE this foundation.
Edit: I like applying this with fingers. It doesn't cling to dry patches or sink into lines, fine or otherwise. The concealer became a quick fave, drugstore or high-end.

Summer Dais I once heard a super model say that pat McGrath was doing her makeup and said ALWAYS apply with fingers, you'll get the best coverage and most natural look, so I've always remembered that....do I always do it, no lol. But some foundations def look SO much better and more natural even if they are "full" coverage it's kind of crazy the difference you see by different ways of applying, when I was younger I never used anything but my fingers I probably need to do it more often and I'm excited for this foundation! I'll probably pick it up this weekend, I remember seeing a review when it first came out and the girl said not to let the age in the title throw you off ....its just a good smooth looking foundation, but I just turned 38 so I'm at that point where I can't just wear ANYTHING on my face and it look good. And I love a good glow or satin matte

Omg I just love that foundation! I am 44 and have very dry skin and it doesn’t settle into fine lines, cling to dry spots, good coverage and wears very well. I even wear the same shade Ivory 10. My only issues would be its more of a warm undertone versus a cool undertone and the smell to me is very sunscreen like.

I've had the same migraine for six days now. It's all I can do to function. Making sure my daughter is doing her E-learning, getting the housework done, feeding my family. Everything has been a real struggle this past week BUT watching your videos relaxes me. I bought this, the powder foundation, blush and concealer. I must say, as a mature 54 year old, I don't like any of the products except the blush. I have dry skin and this foundation really made me drier and my face felt stiff!!! Love you sweetie and I hope you're well and safe and snuggled up at home!!!!
@Waylon Smithers i was actually talking about the liquid foundation making me feel dry. I only used the powder foundation once to set my chin area.
I love that you tested the scent of the foundation by smelling another brush instead of just smelling the product on the palette, idk why but it cracked me up 🤣🤣 I’m 19 but so far this foundation looks STUN so I might grab her
I have to smile just a bit at how everyone is dealing with staying at home. I am an expert at it so I don't even notice anything different about things except I now have much more company (on the internet). Anyway I think this foundation just may be what I need. I am horrible about not using SPF unless it is in a foundation and this one being an SPF 50 sounds perfect for those rare days I go outside. Kind of strange as a younger person I never came indoors unless I had to and now the opposite is true. I sure hope everyone is doing ok. I have 4 children and 3 of them are RN's and 2 work the COVID floors at their hospitals. So I say stay inside and help save a nurse!

I've been trying this foundation for a week now and loving the way it wears. I didn't notice a scent; just me. It hasn't changed color over a 10 hour period and I didn't need to set it with a powder; got kind of a velvet finish. I apply it with a damp sponge, one application, and get a solid medium coverage. it's almost (and I do mean almost) comparable to my first love, EL Double Wear. I really like the finish and coverage; it's nice to be happy with a foundation purchase. I plan on finishing this one. Oh, I got the shade #15, Rose Ivory. It didn't go on pinky; really a neutral shade.
I hated that foundation but adore the newer one TrueMatch Hyaluronic tinted serum. It is life changing for me. Blurs fine lines never settles, increases blurs pores feels like you have no make up on your face. Just a beautiful finish. Absolutely love it.

Melissa Ann I am 44 & looking for a foundation that won’t settle in smile & forehead lines. Do you think this would work for these issues & do you set with powder? I hope you don’t mind the questions I am so tried of trying new foundations & ending up with the same outcome of creasing cracking in my makeup.
Kris Greder it doesn’t settle into my fine lines! I don’t set with powder, my skin is so dry , powder looks awful on me! I do use a setting spray tho! I also love the Estée Lauder futurist foundation ! Perfect for mature skin as well!!! I never mind questions! Hope this works for you!

Just so you know 400 is no longer the lightest shade of the L'Oreal Freshwear! : )They expanded it a while back. I wear 395 Rose Pearl (which has a pinker undertone) and there's a shade lighter than that called Snow that's 390 which I think is supposed to be more neutral. I was so excited when they did it because 400 was too dark and yellow for me! They expanded the deeper tones, too : )

This foundation is AMAZING!!! I got it as soon as I saw it in the drugstore. I am 52 years old and it's really been doing wonders with my skin. It is not a heavy coverage foundation. I use it as more of a BB type cream or tinted moisturizer.

Taylor thank you for suffering through the all day wear test for this foundation!! I love what you do here. Also would you ever be interested in comparing the newer hydrating concealers that have come out against each other? I’m torn on which one to get. Between the colourpop pretty fresh/ makeup revolution hydrate and conceal/ elf hydrating concealer/ and the dermablend cover care concealer. Also I would love to see you do a video on different eyeliner techniques bc your eyes still looked bomb at the end of this video!

Hi thanks for the review, just a heads up that a sponge absorbs foundation this is why you wouldn't get much coverage from applying with a sponge but it's great to use to wipe away excess makeup if it's too cakey, fingertips and a brush is what you use to apply foundation as it doesn't absorb it so is good for coverage :)

I have the concealer from this line and it has become a favorite of mine, for me it has plenty of coverage without looking like I put a ton on. Not sure if this would be good for me since I have oily skin.

I just spent $100 on Dior similar product which was amazing but then I bought this product - randomly - happened to be on sale. And omg, it is identical to this Dior product. It feels identical to the Dior but at 90% less cost. This stuff is magical.

I really like this foundation. I am super dry. I also mix this with the Misha Perfect Cover and powder it a bit with a luminous powder like Milani Prep Set & Glow. It lasts pretty well for me and is nice for dry skin.

So far, it might be the only foundation I’ve tried in a very long time that didn’t need mixed with anything 🤯 (**cough, CYO**). I like it! I’m not sure if my skin likes the sunscreen 🙄, but it feels good and looks pretty natural.
I heard that no7 has a pressed powder that is a dupe for the popular Charlotte Tillbury powder that everyone uses to set their under eye. Can’t recall the exact name of the no7 one but Jessica Braun has mentioned several times in her recent videos. I’m picking it up next time I’m in Walgreens or Target.

Could you please do a video on the most skin like foundations and concealers that you know of ? I’m a big fan of makeup that literally blends seamlessly into the skin and I’ve yet to find products that really get the job done. I don’t know if I’m being unrealistic, but I just think that everything looks very makeup-y even if it doesn’t look cakey

Here watching in my fav W sweatshirt! As I'm getting more "mature" kind words for older, I'm noticing I prefer lighter coverage foundations. I used to like to cover everything but now I just look old and like I put make up on with a spatula when I go full coverage. Robert Welsh has taught me a lot about using less product. Love him!

okay I wanna comment this before I even watch the video.....o have only seen one other beauty tuber do a review or even just use this.....Ally Glines actually found every item possible in the age perfect line......i know she used the foundation and I think a concealer and powder and I am telling u that stuff looks so AMAZING
Oh how I LOVE the finish of this foundation but the sunscreen in this caused a massive break out which upset me so bad! But this line has a super bright orange blush that is so beautiful! I use a light hand and don’t go crazy and I am about the same shade as Taylor and it looks so pretty and like I’ve gotten a natural sun kiss color.

Hey, I just bought this one! The 50 SPF had me bouncing off the walls since I've got rosacea and have a job that often takes me outdoors. It makes my skin look really pretty, but it's dark for my winter shade. Up until this point, I was using CYO (RIP) mixed with some really really light concealer as a summer foundation but this one is lighter and more yellow after it oxidizes so fingers crossed I won't have to blow as much concealer. If I could get this in same color as the Fresh Wear 390 or even 400 I'd be the happiest person.
Also, I don't know why I noticed it with this one but it looks super pretty on camera.
I bought this foundation at the same time as the NO7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Foundation and I have barely used this one because the NO 7 is so good! I recommend giving that one a try.

It does slighty oxidize. I love it I got the creasing around my eye's but it's expected. I'd use a little powder to set it.

I know you mentioned having lines and the foundation always settling it, I was having the same problem. Have you ever tried Catrice Cosmetics, smooth line and refine? I put that on as like a first primer, and I have noticed such a difference, when applying foundation!

I love a light coverage dewy foundation and find to make them last I use a few dots of concealer wherever I need it under the foundation somehow it lasts better but still keeps the nice finish.
I thought you might like to know that there IS A LIGHTER shade in TruMatch than you mentioned. It is W 0.5 (not W1). Just thought someone on here might need a lighter one than the one she mentioned.. I use W1 and N1, but that was over the summer, when I did not get any sun at all. The Cool shades in that L'Oreal line also have a shade lighter than C1, as well..I think it is C 0.5.
We had Seattle weather in New Jersey today. I was so confused with it 🤣 I tried to go out to play with my dog but the weather changed every few minutes. I definitely want to try this foundation! It looks beautiful on you. I’m fine with a few hours wear. I don’t do anything that long to need 10+ hour wear.
