I really like how opened for interpretation it is. For me personally it's me shouting at my demons and myself for being so weak and ignorant, but for some others it can be about toxic relationships or about some other specific trait in their life that manipulates them. It's a great move, making a song so opened to interpretation while still retaining it's original message. I was always interested in lyrics and songwriting and you guys never fail to amaze me

You know what, I dont think a lot of people think about this, yes you guys bring out incredible music and we love it but I think we miss the point that you had to go through these things in life to even create these beautiful songs. That's actually what I commented on the first song I've ever listened by them I think. It's definitely something people should think about but I guess that part of them do realize it when they say "it makes me feel not alone"!
Well everyone suffers one way or another the question is why do we ignore them unlike Citizen Soldier over here we ignore most of peoples cries for help even if we respond to some we domt respond to all thats the sad thing its because we cant respond to all their pleas for help what a world we live in
@@user-ei6tn7pp3s and that's why it's so important that Citizen Soldiers live on. We can't physically help and respond to anyone, however they help a lot of us with their music so by supporting and encouraging them we kind of do try to help and encourage everyone else.
Though for sure it's important to reply to people directly as well!

As someone with an alternate personality I was always hiding in fear. My alt was a horrible narcissistic person, starting fights, abusing people for fun, always wanting power. Eventually I started talking to someone and they really helped to the point that my alt hasn't come out in a little over 3 years now. I now am happier then ever helping build people up rather then tear them down and I frequently look back at this song to remind me of my real power.
After a long day of dealing with toxic friends, this is EXACTLY what i needed. Awesome song guys! ❤️❤️

“The Cage” is just amazing... I love the passion in the singing and the meaning behind the lyrics. It reminds of when I was in a toxic friendship some years ago, though I managed to break away from the toxic friend and slowly regain who I truly am. I still do stumble and fall into ruts of depression at times, but nowadays I’m surrounded by a bunch of loving friends who truly care about me.

My Demons have been keeping me under a mask since 4th grade. Since then I've masked my emotions, looking happy even though underneath I wanted to scream out in pain. And when I would try to open up, my Demons would shove Anxiety down my throat to keep me silent. But now after 8 years of Hell, they won't keep me down. I've learned what they're made of and I have my very first therapy appointment scheduled for next week so that I can reveal their secrets!
