Jazzlynn Schulte I really liked that one, but I like “screaming at the ones we love, like we forgot who we can trust was a biiiit better, I love this song
Istg the best line I've heard because it's so true, I LOVE ME SOME MUSIC FROM NOTHING MORE, ESPECIALLY THE GREAT DIVORCE, THIS IS THE TIME, DON'T STOP, AND LET EM BURN!!!!!
I've never in my life heard a more powerfully designed war song. War in multiple contexts, of course, from general conflict to full-out wars in real world situations. It's so. . . perfectly written. The tune devotes itself to a multitude of moods, ranging from intense anger in the middle, what sounds like regret and the questioning of whether or not the fighting is even worth it at all, and at the end it fades out into a solemn question on what matters the most, "Do we feel safe?" The song practically questions its own morals. Many war and fighting songs sound so confident, so high-held and so powerful, like they know what they're doing, and they have the feeling they'll win. This one, it gives off a sense of questioning, a sense of conflicted morals, like you want to fight, but you really don't. Ambition clashing with humanity, friends clashing with enemies. It doesn't sound as sure of himself, like he wants to back out and go a peaceful route. This song is underrated to hell and back, and it upsets me that nobody of my friend group seems to love it like I do. In short, I read into songs way too deep, but its a real good time.
"I dont know what you had in mind, but here we stand on opposing sides. Lets go to war! lets go to war!" The beginning is so powerful already. It really sets the whole song
In these troubling times of violence, death, and panic, this song bears a whole new meaning. I hope Nothing More realizes it's universal interpretation and that people know what I mean when I say this personifies all this chaos.
It’s considered intimate intonation. He’s deliberately making this very personal. It’s invasive nature meant to make you question your world views. It’s meant to fuck you up, especially if you have trust issues and it’s ilk.
I grew up around screams and fighting. Very turbulent childhood that has infected my life with anxiety and a touch of mistrust toward any environment I'm in for the first few months I'm in it, and back and forth for a few more. It has led to fights with people I respect and cherish that didn't need to ever happen. It's a daily struggle outside of environments I've come to know and trust intimately and implicitly. It's like waking up daily and going to war, but not to fight. Fighting a war against war. Not letting inner turmoil become outer turmoil. I love this song and always come back to it after some time. The way I've internalized this song, it feels relevant enough to me personally that it always leaves me introspective, gauging how well I'm doing holding back trauma and damages from impacting my interactions with those around me. I still slip, even approaching 30, but I'm glad to say I've grown past screaming at the ones I love and finally found people who love me back, understand, and help me through the journey. I hope this comment gives hope to any who are currently being formed or have been formed by experiences similar to mine. It does get better. You do eventually find the right people for you to truly feel safe.
They say we as civilians are too stupid to make our own choices and we need government to command us. Almost 250 years ago, a group of farmers rose up, and gave birth to the most powerful nation god has ever brought upon the face of the earth. Let’s not forget this.
People seem to forget that. They look at the ugly scars this country has, but forget about how powerful we truly are. The issue is the government, not the people.
This encapsulates our world perfectly. The constant strife, fighting, arguing, and hatred being fostered where there is none; all in an attempt to chase the lie that it will bring us “safety” in a world that is perilous to its core.
To me this song symbolizes the family falling apart and using its words against "screaming at the ones we love"and "on the ground where we feel safe" really drive this point home for me.
I’ll always be thankful for the rock and alt radio stations I listened to as a teenager for introducing me to music like this. This still goes hard after 6 years!!
when I listen to this song, I basically think about Adolf's backstory, from when he was a child, abused, lost his brother, mother, and was sent to war. with the hatred and war within his mind, he lashes this hatred towards the Jewish and french, seeing that the French abused the Germans, and eventually abused the French. also the thoughts of how bad it was for Stalin, when he was abused and lashed parts of his rage. with these dictators that lashed their rage. as well as the scenes of how terrible it was of the Jewish, where they loved Germany, but were torn away from it, losing their trust with Germany. a really sad and scary scenario for the song. "everything you say. everything you do you push it in. and you cut me down!" this line would be for the Germans as a whole, as the British and French gave these terrible punishments and as well changing the authoritarian government of Germany, ruining the nation. which, as the ruined nation came about, Fascism was seeked and practiced within the government, which, fixed the nation and made it more better and stronger.
This song is so beautiful It’s confusion on what it wants The call to action The doubt in its morals The frustration that’s clearly evident throughout The lines “Screaming at the ones we love, like we forgot who we could trust” They are so angry So defensive They don’t know how to cope They don’t know how to deal with the situation, and they lash out, causing casualties that they deeply regret, but feel like they HAVE to double down and keep up the fight, as those lines are followed with “screaming at the top of our lungs, on the grounds where we feel safe” They know that this is bad They are in deep But this is all they know right now, and it’s too late to back out Then the attention is turned back on the subject of their anger “Do you feel safe?” It’s not said in a mocking, sarcastic or even mourning tone It’s a warning tone, It’s a clearly menacing line, oozing meaning It’s like all the energy has gone from explosive, causing a ton of casualties, to a focused scalpel, directly threatening a specific group or individual Then it’s repeated And falls back Asking a very real introspective “Do WE feel safe?” Like asking, is this worth it? Are we gaining something of worth by doing this? Are we just doing it because we enjoy it now? The lines in the Bridge all lead up to the final line in the bridge, switching tones “Remember everything that we die for, You are everything that I’d die for” The realization hits The collateral is insane They have red in their ledger, they are holding onto their reasoning, desperately clinging to a belief that it was worth the damage Turning it around themselves, exposing their own hypocrisy and dwindling mental state, that they would make the ultimate sacrifice because they believe in the cause Because they love Then the chorus starts again… Their sanity is gone There is only war now Only red Only blood Either in the context of hating a group, and wanting to defend a homeland that will hate them for it Or For loving someone, being hurt, lashing out and trying to convince themselves that it was for the person they love Either way, it’s heartbreaking There is no right or wrong in war, only those who are left There are no winners, only survivors “Let’s go to war” takes another victim in it’s material War has completely taken over their life Either a global conflict, or a personal one, and both are terrible in their own ways But I can’t lie I feel like going to war
Dash to be fair the odds of a bomb attack killing my family is fairly low. Also my opinion on the matter have changed. I’d rather not have to go to war as my bothers would have to suffer, regardless I will do my Job not because I want to kill but that I wish to make sure my brothers come home.
The interesting thing about growing up is thinking that this song ONLY meant it was a war in the textbook sense, and realizing later that it can also be heard in the sense of toxic relationships
I hope this is the lead single, such a beautiful piece. Can't wait for yall to come to San Antonio, Nothing More concert is how I'm celebrating my birthday!!

I first discovered these guys when my friend and I went to a Three Days Grace concert in Edmonton and Nothing More was one of the openers. And can I just say.... not only is this one of my new favourite bands, but these guys have an amazing stage presence
Idk if anyone else can relate but this honestly fitting for my dad's side of the family and when I'm at his house for a weekend. My dad isn't a great person and hasn't been from the start, my mom and dad were never together and it all spiralled into years and still continuing those years of struggles. I'm the only one who has the power to pull this family together to get thing under control on my mom's side of the family, but once I'm 18 I'm leaving my dad for good.
@@maddiskallven8195 So true. I support BLM but holy crap it's been taken to violent extremes. Like defunding police isn't going to fix racism. If anything it's going to make it worse. Instead we need have a deep look at our law-upholders and reorganize them. After all if you don't keep things organized the living room is going to get/stay dirty.
Honestly for me this song hits deep for me for a different reason than probably most. This song for me represents my anxiety, trauma and how it affects my relationship with others especially those I care about. In an instant people who helped me fight through rough times can become my enemy or I began to feel I can't trust them even if they've done nothing to me. "Our weapons are the wrongs we've done, list them off one by one." Whenever an argument rather than admitting fault everyone would rather point fingers than change, blaming others or pointing out how the other has done the same wrong. I'm honestly no different, which isn't something I'm not proud of.
My mom saw Nothing More at a concert a few weeks ago, and omg the lead singer was a spider monkey. He started like 2 stories up and jumped down, grabbing this giant machine thing and launched himself through the sky and landed, using his feet to play the drum and the drumsticks to play the guitar part. Unfortunately, my mom didn't know he would do that so she didn't record it but she has a video of him playing the machine, and it's super cool.
I'm so hyped for this album! I can't wait for it to come out. Korn was the band that made my year in 2016, and Nothing More will make this year so much better.

I love the Cold War!
This song is so beautiful
It’s confusion on what it wants
The call to action
The doubt in its morals
The frustration that’s clearly evident throughout
The lines “Screaming at the ones we love, like we forgot who we could trust”
They are so angry
So defensive
They don’t know how to cope
They don’t know how to deal with the situation, and they lash out, causing casualties that they deeply regret, but feel like they HAVE to double down and keep up the fight, as those lines are followed with “screaming at the top of our lungs, on the grounds where we feel safe”
They know that this is bad
They are in deep
But this is all they know right now, and it’s too late to back out
Then the attention is turned back on the subject of their anger
“Do you feel safe?”
It’s not said in a mocking, sarcastic or even mourning tone
It’s a warning tone,
It’s a clearly menacing line, oozing meaning
It’s like all the energy has gone from explosive, causing a ton of casualties, to a focused scalpel, directly threatening a specific group or individual
Then it’s repeated
And falls back
Asking a very real introspective
“Do WE feel safe?”
Like asking, is this worth it?
Are we gaining something of worth by doing this?
Are we just doing it because we enjoy it now?
The lines in the Bridge all lead up to the final line in the bridge, switching tones
“Remember everything that we die for, You are everything that I’d die for”
The realization hits
The collateral is insane
They have red in their ledger, they are holding onto their reasoning, desperately clinging to a belief that it was worth the damage
Turning it around themselves, exposing their own hypocrisy and dwindling mental state, that they would make the ultimate sacrifice because they believe in the cause
Because they love
Then the chorus starts again…
Their sanity is gone
There is only war now
Only red
Only blood
Either in the context of hating a group, and wanting to defend a homeland that will hate them for it
Or
For loving someone, being hurt, lashing out and trying to convince themselves that it was for the person they love
Either way, it’s heartbreaking
There is no right or wrong in war, only those who are left
There are no winners, only survivors
“Let’s go to war” takes another victim in it’s material
War has completely taken over their life
Either a global conflict, or a personal one, and both are terrible in their own ways
But I can’t lie
I feel like going to war
these guys have still come along way I remember like 7, 8 years ago when nobody knew who they were and the singer was the OG drummer...the days...

Me as an aggressive everything is absolutely in love with the aggression of this song!!!
I first discovered these guys when my friend and I went to a Three Days Grace concert in Edmonton and Nothing More was one of the openers. And can I just say.... not only is this one of my new favourite bands, but these guys have an amazing stage presence
This song always makes my heartache. Like my hearts telling me 'yo, its time to cry...stop holding the pain in you oaf' lol
The video for this is one of the most brutal bar fights ever!
I was looking for war music to soothe me (idk why) and I found this. I sometimes use this to calm myself down after a mental breakdown
Don’t do it during one...
This is America right now. . .
lmao
I feel like this will be future results for BLM or WW 3 scares. Things will get hella violent and scary
More like the whole world if things don't calm down

@@maddiskallven8195 So true. I support BLM but holy crap it's been taken to violent extremes. Like defunding police isn't going to fix racism. If anything it's going to make it worse. Instead we need have a deep look at our law-upholders and reorganize them. After all if you don't keep things organized the living room is going to get/stay dirty.
These guys make some of the best music I've heard in my life man. Really powerful stuff, great lyrics. Just a great band
That Chorus ♥♥
“You’ve got my heart and I’ve got your soul. But are we better of alone?”
That’s hits hard.
I have this on repeat!
tonia hill all day!
Song hits different right now
We just saw them in concert last night, and let me tell you they were absolutely amazing!!! This guy is crazy on stage! It's awesome!
i love this, can't wait for the rest of the album!
Why does this song even have a dislike button
me
So that way Liberals have something to press lol
@@Jaroks lmao
I dont even know why anything would have a dislike button. I find dislike buttons rude.
@@Jaroks lmao this a song for libtards what u even sayin
“Remember everything that we die for, YOU ARE EVERYTHING THAT I DIE FOR”
This is probably some of the most modern indie rock songs I've heard, I love it
Who would've thought a majestic song is an accidental click away
Honestly for me this song hits deep for me for a different reason than probably most. This song for me represents my anxiety, trauma and how it affects my relationship with others especially those I care about. In an instant people who helped me fight through rough times can become my enemy or I began to feel I can't trust them even if they've done nothing to me.
"Our weapons are the wrongs we've done, list them off one by one." Whenever an argument rather than admitting fault everyone would rather point fingers than change, blaming others or pointing out how the other has done the same wrong. I'm honestly no different, which isn't something I'm not proud of.
I found this song and now I'm hooked
Love this band, vocals are on point & lyrics speaks to what's going on in the world.. they tired of people not waking up!
this just has to be my favorite song in the world 7 years and still not tired of it (i love this edit of the song)

Great song live seen u guys at Columbus Ohio
“Screaming at the ones we love” hits different
I'm legit turning into my dad I have been listing to hid types of songs lately and love them, gosh I'm such a tomboy at times.
My brain added a single letter to word "trust" ("like we forgot who we can trust" line) and I went laughing so hard that I spilled my tea...
Was it h
It's the best feeling ever to wake up to two new Nothing More songs! \m/ I prefer this one, but they're both good in different ways.
I have had this song stuck in my head since Father's Day
I'm so hyped for this album! I can't wait for it to come out. Korn was the band that made my year in 2016, and Nothing More will make this year so much better.
And once again. It is relevant.
Im absolutely obsessed with this song ATM it's so powerful and meaningful
