There were no “weird loopholes” concerning Universal’s _Donkey Kong_ lawsuit. Universal had successfully litigated to declare the original _King Kong_ film within the public domain a few years earlier in order to release their (largely forgotten) ‘70s remake, and that meant they didn’t own the copyright they claimed was being infringed upon in the first place. Their suit was dismissed quickly after the precedent was presented in court.
Also, Fire Mario does revert to small Mario on taking a hit in the Japanese SMB3; the change is a Quality of Life tweak to make the North American version a little easier.

I like lost levels, it's like a rom hack.

you actually can replay the castles by pressing I believe L and R simultaniously while standing on them

That’s right, but only in the international versions. You can’t re-enter any castle or fortress aside from Bowser’s castle in the Japanese version. They would have to wait until Super Mario Advance 2 to be able to do that.

This is a very good video! Are you going to do another Green day Retrospective? As I am hoping you'll cover bullet in a bible and awesome as f**k.

I absolutely will, it's hard to make live band retrospective videos because they don't get that much views on my channel, along with none of the videos being monetized due to the copyrighted music, so making them isn't financially beneficial either. I wish I could care less, but it's hard to invest into making these videos full time when they're not helping me atm. I'll definitely try to make another one around February for dookie's 30th anniversary, I wish I had more time to make more, but with the current views the videos get along with them taking so long to make, I just can't put my full focus on these videos as much as I want to.

@coopercastille, That's understandable. And I totally understand that you can't get monetized. It does suck when your channel gets copywright but all your doing is what you love. Thanks! Dookie is amazing and I would love to find out about it. That's ok, thanks for your response and I've subbed and liked your stuff as well!

For the 1up trick, try using an nes style controller, it’s hard on the thumbs but the games actually control better

Something you missed is that in Mario 2 toad is only faster when holding an item. That's why him and Luigi are speed runner's go to

but mario 3 had save feature, it was the first to have

Not the NES version. Technically the first console Mario game with a save feature is The Lost Levels, but that only saves how many times you beat the game. The first game to properly save your progress was Super Mario World, though Doki Doki Panic also does so.
