I have a very custom JBL Apollo as a subwoofer powered by an SMSL A300 in bridged mode. Balanced to the PA7+, RCAs to the sub. So very impressed on every level! Seems like Topping is becoming the affordable Mac's from Asia and I am certainly grateful!
That amplifier is a great bargain at that price for that sound quality and build. The volume knob option is also a big plus. Had I known about this earlier, I may have chosen this amp at that price. I did, however, buy the March audio class d amp and am very happy with my purchase. But at 500 dollars, that amplifier is a real find. Love class d amps.
I have this amp and it s sound good with wiim pro plus and dali oberon 3, but i want to know if someone know if lyngdorf tdai-1120 it s an upgrade over this topping in terms of sound reproduction

Hi one thing I can tell you is Topping PA7 or PA7 Plus is transparent in sound with very good noise control, it should be able to reflects the sound of paring components and it should go well with your components, Thank you.
I have a pair of monitor audio silver 100 which are 120w recommended amplifier power. I also own the topping e70, so I'm tempted to pair it with the pa7 plus, or is there pa7 sufficient? To spkash the extra for their plus or not? What's the difference between the two apart from power?

bro i have a pair of elac unifi reference speakers for my desktop and i understand they're on the neutral side. What do you recommend that are bright speakers? I'm looking for basically better airy imaging, and detail retrieval plus soundstage but can still listen to everything even bad recordings. Price is not an issue.
@Tharbamar do you think monoblock amps are ever worth it? if so, in what cases? i hear they are superior to stereo amps or integrated amps. But then I recently saw Thomas & Stereo video where this lady says she'd recommend spending more on a great pre-amp instead, as long as your power amp has enough power for your speakers.
Clean sound. The important sound demo is the three, to compare. Sounds good, very good but without "soul", "magic".. class D you know. But at that price else can be demanded. Gives much more "sound" than other more expensive ones. It is a shame that you (and many others) do not use complex music such as orchestral and with a large dynamic range to demand the component in question. Amplifier today. You are complaining about the lack of soul and magic because it is a class D thru a youtube vid, how wise do you think is that? I will bet you my last penny in a blind ab test you wouldnt know which is a class ab or good class d lile this thru a youtube vid, even in real life.
There's something I can't explain about these class-D amps. As soon as you switch them on, you're charmed by their sound quality, but after listening to them for a long time, you tire of them, without knowing why, preferring more traditional equipment. Perhaps there's something we're missing: our ears, or our auditory perception, haven't revealed all their secrets. Perhaps a little distortion and a smaller bandwidth are better suited to our sensations? Listen to a tube amp, even though it's relatively poor compared to the measurements of a class D... 🤨
maybe we don't need perfect measured audio equipment to enjoy the music, i enjoy my vintage record player with and old Yamaha class AB amp from the 70s more than my hifi dac with class D amp on my Kef LS50 Meta
I enjoy class D amps with class A sound like the SMSL SA400 or the VMW A2 but from time to time, I do switch back to my ancient amps namely the P2200, 2002m and MX-1. I am impressed by how the digital amp handle a relic speaker like the NS1000M I use@@pumpum000

This is not a desktop solution so why the omission of a remote?... This is going to a real 'not in my list product'. A real disappiontment for many. At least give the buying the option of adding one.
It’s designed for desktop music playback with external power supply, they even made miniature desktop stand for it but it can use easily with DAC volume control.
I fell in love with class D amplifiers about 12 years ago with Tripath.
I do own this PA7 plus. It's really good choice to me. Worth for every penny.

The sound sample3 includes noise in the R channel. Is this the problem with the PA7 itself or recording noise?
It's from overloading the right channel microphone, not from actual playback.

It uses OPA1612 + NE5532 on the preamp stage. It means you likr the sound of NE5532
NE5532 the op amp of choice back in 1979 :-)

Absolutely to certain level of loudness, they'll be fine up to 90db range after that those speakers will falls apart.

Passive pre amps are the way to go, you want your gear to get out of the way of the signal as much as possible

@@charlesurias It's possible - in fact, I've heard that it's more advantageous to pre-amplify with tubes, and amplify with transistors!
