I'm trying to profile Johnnyq90 as far as I can make out he works for PocketNc as a product development lead with a background in machining, cam, cad and bim he's probably German if not German Swiss or Dutch.
I can see the spirit in you all the way, what a crafter, man of culture! I just love how you show your work, no noisy background music, no fancy editing, but just pure work and skills. I watch your video and dream to be like you. Thanks for your contents
Sick my friend. Love the clean up of the electrics with the printed tub. Exhaust nozzle is amazing... and findimg that old Tamiya Alfa body is the cherry on top. Bravo.
I'll always remember Gabriele Tarquini putting his up on two wheels to show a nice silver underside in the BTCC Championship years ago! Great choice of body for this model.
OMG,Dude you knocked it out of the park with THIS ONE!!! That thing is lookin SOOOOOOO BAD-ASS Now!!! Excellent Job on this!!! I've watched this build from start to finish and WHO CARES if it's slow OR fast!?!? It looks COOL as hell and ANY PARK you takes this too, your bound to have people come up to You saying HOW COOL that looks!!! PRIMO job!!!
oh man as if this channel couldnt get any cooler, you fit the most aggressive alfa romeo shell ever hnnngh, I love the 155. Awesome Johnny, so much fabrication went into this one, more than usual it seems!!! Thanks for working so hard, it's so cool!
I've subbed to this channel since like what, 2016? All of your work is beyond amazing and I've recently starting to save up some money to build a fully custom r/c car just like the one you did.
Stunning, great make and build videos and the perfect body to to put on this chassis.... And Alfa Romeo 155, iconic touring car. Well done, loved watching and learning.
Love the 80s DTM bodies. I have a e30 M3 body I bought I bought 32 years ago and it still looks great. It is impossible to find another one. I have searched high and low. But I was able to get period correct BBS style wheels for it back then and it have been looking for a pretty close replacement. Those are the shelf wheels I have other sets I use if I run it. It’s electric. Remember when I got it electronic speed controllers were new and expensive. So originally it had basically a servo that pulled a contact along a track that varied in resistance. Luckily the body is in really nice shape if I’m gonna drive it fast and loose I throw another on it. It’s from the same time period but it has seen better days. Really cool build. I wish I could still do that but I have more important stuff on my plate now days. So just play with what I already have.
Yes finally This is what I’m waiting for. The test run. 😍😍🔥🔥👏👏 your Engineering and machinist skill are so amazing that no one can do. You’re the man!.
Yes, like the ones cyconxc builds, just with the toyan engine. Maybe even a colab with timsane, as he does genuine NA tuning for the toyan, including inconel valves and head rework. He even wanted to do a pressurised lubrication system at one point.
@@fabianrudzewski9027 Yes I was thinking about his builds ! 1/4 scale is maybe a bit too big, a 1/10 or a 1/8 would be better; trophy truck are already quite big. You should check joseph stamplf, he make an amazing nitro truck, which even got brake disc !
This is awesome as always. A tip for cutting lexan is to use an xacto knife and score on the cut line. Then you can simply break it cleanly. As a machinist of over 20 years the capabilitys of the pocket cnc amazes me.
Make sure to clean the chips before melting them, perhaps a soapy water bath followed by an acetone bath can help you keep the furnace clean from oils that burn in it
So this is based on a TGX chassis? Very cool indeed! Makes me want to take my TGR out of storage and do some upgrades. I have a few unopened 1/8th scale Tamiya bodies too. I remember seeing that Alfa Romeo one back in the day but bought the Supra and NSX ones instead. Your channel is very inspirational!!
Been following you for a very long time. You've come a long way. I'm not the biggest fan of you buying those engines because I know with your talent to one day see you smelt the shavings and make your own running engine ;) I bet it's a steep learning curve but i know you can!
Nice Johnny great work can you TRY to make a torque converter for a nitro engine and compare it so a regular centrifugal clutch or even a manual clutch that would be epic, you have the tools and knowledge to do it with!! Love these videos!!:)
Hi Johnny Q90! It could be interesting sharing in a next video how you set up and program your CNC machine. How do you draw the parts before machining them? Congratulations for your work and quality of video. Thank you for sharing with non professional... it’s inspirational! Chris
If you use an X-Acto knife to score all the way around the cut lines of the body and then just pie cut up to those lines with scissors you can just break off the excess plastic. This leaves an almost perfect edge with zero finish work necessary.
It amazes me how he can just make basically whatever he wants and it always looks so cool.
No,its skill
Those things are amazing!
@@svizzykvizzy355 He doesn't say anything against it :-)

Niall Dunne you think he works for them?
Whenever you hear the hum sound from the CNC you know Johnny is creating something marvelous.
Absolutely bro.
"It will be a shelf queen"

Absolutely brilliant

I still don't like the fact that his priceless work is not appreciated by many😔
he literally has 1.5 million subs

Scale models garage tour?! That would be cool
This gotta be a form of art. Not only brilliantly and beautifully made, but seeing it being made... just amazing.
i would honsetly watch a multiple hour long video of you build a whole rc car from scratch
the Alfaaaa, Italian support my man 💪

I LOVE that you took an Alfa 155 V6 TI as cover... For me this is the coolest race car of all times!
I'll always remember Gabriele Tarquini putting his up on two wheels to show a nice silver underside in the BTCC Championship years ago! Great choice of body for this model.
Big like from Italy 🇮🇹
mi viene in mente solo una cosa vedendo quel modellino, ovvero piedone giovanardi!!!

This guy is super talented. Looks amazing with how it idles and shakes from side to side.

I was wondering when you'd use the EPIC 155 ...Now I've stopped wondering.
Absolutely stunning piece of machinery.
Well done good sir. ❤
You have all the tools a hobbyist would dream of

When I saw the comment about cooling holes I was surprised you didn't make up a mini radiator setup. :D
I see you went with the Tried and True New Honda Civic HDMI Exhaust Tip lol. Love your stuff by the way.
I KNOW its the Lambo Exhaust... But hondas are a bit more common
Machining like a mad man, and now melting down the scrap to reuse. Content just keeps getting better and better

FANTASTIC work as alwas.. im blown away! love to see that shelf of cars "shelf queens" as you called them.
Very cool JohnnyQ. Maybe not as fast as you'd hoped but somehow the speed seems pretty realistic to the scale of the car.
Είσαι πραγματικά μοναδικός, απίστευτο ταλέντο φιλαράκι.
That was amazing 😎
Great job man!! That body made that 1/8 look super scale!!!
Watching your videos is so therapeutic to me
Perfect shape exhaust tip, that's always been a favorite of mine
