“Crab’s Feet” Growing on Hundred-Year-Old Tea Trees in the Mountains of Yunnan

Twisted-flower rush herb is a kind of parasitic plant that grows on tea trees. Because of the strict requirements it has on the altitude, climate and age of the tea trees, the twisted-flower rush herb is rare in number. In addition, it has a certain medicinal value, which makes it even more precious. During the tea-picking period in Jingmai Mountain, I tasted the chicken stewed with twisted-flower rush herbs, a dish made by a female farmer, which I found to be delicious and unforgettable. When I got home, I cooked a pot of it for my family. I also picked some vegetables. After having the meat and soup, I added some boiling water to cook the vegetables, which also had that savoury umami finish! You should definitely visit Jingmai Mountain and have a bowl of chicken stewed with twisted-flower rush herbs if you have the chance!

最深的印象就是略微带点药味，生津，回甘明显。
其实景迈出的普洱茶饼里往往会掺杂了一丢丢这种寄生植物。

I never seen twisted rush herb tea before but I do know it is medicinal 😀 I do like that you add a little to the chicken soup that is going to be good with a unique flavor taste. Dawang has got so big over the past few years he was smaller the last time I seen him now he is much bigger but still a fluff ball to hang out with 😁✌❤

Ive made quite a few of these dishes from Penji channel and another Chinese cook called Sister Xia. Both of these fine women have encouraged me to step outside the box and learn new foods.
Sister Xia was ill one episode of her video and her brothers(both quite big rough hard working fellas) made a whole platter of dumplings. I figured if they could then I could and all my friends and family who got to try them loved them. A few were not so pretty but by the time I got through doing over 100 dumplings they started looking like real dumplings!.
I have learned to get my grandchildren involved in forming the dumplings so it doesn't take so long. They do much better than I do even.
