🤣 Hahaha - LOVE that comedy cut “... I’m going to interrupt myself right now to show you” >> CUTS TO MOVIE mid-sentence Hahaha! Didn’t expect that. made me laugh! 🤣🤣
This channel is a gem for mobile creators, thanks alex for all these iPhone videos, I bought an iPhone 11 back in 2019 when it was launched and never regretted my decision for it's camera, THANKS TO YOU!💞💞💞
Hey! What do you think about doing a "series" where you create + edit a video using just the iPhone and showing all the behind the scenes (recording the footage /your thoughts while doing the shots and hopefully showing what do you use to edit and make it look better), kind of what you did in this video? Like something for amateurs that can make them enjoy their phone footage a lot more and play with it! Love those iPhone videos, keep up!
Thank you mate. Very useful channel. The talking in front of camera videos too! Awesome stuff. I am planning to film myself running in the park. Can you suggest some creative angles for filming yourself on your own running
Heh Tom, It would be great if you could publish in 4K. just been watching Maati and the change in quality impacts how I perceive your product. JMI. Otherwise love all your minimal film making tips.
Two kinds of videos I want to make: Instructional (woodworking, gardening, farming) and nature films (short films with my music and natural settings locally).
I came to this video of yours from aN older one with the iPhone 7 when you were adamant that you always shot in1080p 60fps. Ooops! Now you are advocating 4k at 24fps. What changed your advice? It is difficult to slow down 24fps as recommended in the older video. Obviously technology has moved on but what has changed for you to advise 24fps? This is not criticism, it is curiosity. I like your style by the way.
Thomas, I noticed that videographers use a lot of partial orbits around their subject (model). Now, I don't usually have a subject model but am focusing more on a group or pedestrians, for example, so I can't be using the orbit shot. What do you suggest I use instead?
Only if you want to be investing time into colour correcting/grading your footage. If you already have some knowledge and like doing it, then do ahead, use HDR, it can be an awesome advantage to have more dynamic range. To those who just want great looking footage 'out of the box' I would turn HDR off 👍🏼
Im loving the channel loads of great tips I just film me hiking and camping but want to mix it up with some cinematic video clips to. Unfortunately I have a android which doesn't give you as much video options as the I phone but I'm hopefully getting the pocket 2 soon which will help a lot😁👍
Great video, I have been wanting to make videos for quite some time but I think the editing process is the problem. It would be nice if you could make a video showing a beginner's guide to editing with a free app on the app store. Most of us just want to reach the next step without an expensive subscription and we don't really know how to get started with easy sound effects and transition using free software. Any guide to that would be highly appreciated. It would be awesome if you would pair. Keep up the good work.
Don't ever call Thomas, Alex! Don't ever call Thomas, Norman! But you may call him Thomas or Dr or Professor broll travel teacher and friend! Welcome back Thomas!
Here's the challenge for you sir shoot cinematic video on oppo A7 if you do that hats off to you bcoz it has 30fps so you cant add slow motion to footage, hope you create a cool cinematic vdo using oppo A7 with the whole process from shooting to editing I'm waiting
The footage won't playback on the phone as slow mo - when shooting in 4k 60 those extra frames are only going to show one you put your footage in an editing program and slow those shots down to 40-50%
You have to have a 3rd party camera app to control your iPhone's shutter speed. But having a slow shutter to get that milky white water may require you to have an ND filter.
Amateur? If you didn't know I like to tell you that in smartphone fps is never same. 24 fps means maximum 24 fps and it changes from 19 to 24 fps randomly 🙏
@@ThomasAlexNorman thnx buddy for great response... wanna meet u once..but i don’t know how😊 anyway thnx again.. I’m also a little vloger trying to learn from u ...keep inspiring us bro..

Hi, Are you in CENTRAL America? where? looks awesome!
So would you suggest to keep HDR on if you are planning on editing the video anyway?
Only if you want to be investing time into colour correcting/grading your footage. regarding this iPhone tutorial, it's so helpful...
It’s surprising how many people don’t understand the basics. What annoys me most is portrait filming!
Thomas! did you say in order to get the right shots we need to walk as if we need the “Toilet”?? Hahahaha you’re crazy’ bro! Haha
nice
A video for landscapes
Any ideas on doing a limited-service hotel, using your iphone
Depends on the space you've got play with, but so you don't end up with noise I'd say it'll be all in the lighting of the room/s
Can you make a sample video
Brilliant! Thanks for helping real amateurs to be better in documenting their memories!
How do you slow-mo your footage from 4k 60fps from the native camera?
The footage won't playback on the phone as slow mo - when shooting in 4k 60 those extra frames are only going to show one you put your footage in an editing program and slow those shots down to 40-50%
instead of gimball can i use goriila pod
Yep, that definitely helps get more stable footage and it a good medium between handheld and gimbal!
How do you slow the shutter. I want to do a waterfall shot where the water goes white.
You have to have a 3rd party camera app to control your iPhone's shutter speed. But having a slow shutter to get that milky white water may require you to have an ND filter.
How to make cinematic travel video by iPhone ?

Amateur? If you didn't know I like to tell you that in smartphone fps is never same. 24 fps means maximum 24 fps and it changes from 19 to 24 fps randomly 🙏
Cool video, but why 24p for youtube? 90% viewers have 60 hz screens and they see jerks and twitches in all smooth pans because of that!
Music
iPhone 1080p looks horrible on my 4k TV. And 24fps is stuttering. i guess it’s a europe thing !?
Nah it,s your tv or you R paning tilting to fast
