@@lazydayB2Byou are right. We should continue to build out into the desert. Every single person should have a single family home, a pool, and a yard. @@NosebergEatzbugsVonShekelstein if you want open desert spaces, let me direct you to the rest of Arizona. Phoenix and Tucson metros make up about 25k square miles collectively. That leaves those who desire "open spaces" roughly 87k square miles of non-density open desert. I think we have space here to compromise. No need to hold the rest of the state back because you refuse to allow the 2 major cities to modernize.
@@TheBruemocraticParty "Modernize"? They are modern. They are suburban. What you want is to go back to the turn of the century with row houses and tenements and street cars. Go to New York or Chicago if you want to live like that.

The root of the issue, the start of this thread is people crying and pissing themselves anytime the thought of providing the people of Arizona the option to have those nice things without having to move away from home is suggested. There's a lot of native Arizonians who would love Phoenix to have some of those qualities. There's also a lot of them who would rather live a suburban lifestyle or "in the open desert". I lived in Phoenix most all my life I remember metro center back in the seventy's and eighty's that area is very high in crime now, it's a good idea to develop new ideas but we will see.
I'm very nostalgic for the metro center mall, but after all the robberies' stabbings loitering and the rise of online shopping, I say good riddance to the place..... It will be interesting to see if the housing real estate development will be sustainable in the old Metro center district area
Can they leave [or move elsewhere on the future property] those Metro Center mall letters from the beginning of this video or from the food court/movie theater entrance? Those letters made a difference when you walked into it. One of the main reasons why it was my fav in my late teens/early adulthood. Sad to see it gone. 🙏🏼
I love what they are doing let’s just hope they don’t ruin it by letting the cell phone case booths take over please don’t let those cell phone booths anywhere near the new metro center
They are dragging their feet knowing it's a total Loser with the Crime?? Homeless?? Same at Central/Camelback that hi rise apts? Stall Stall..too much Crime and Homeless nobody will rent anything there.
That old Sears building will remain? How tacky. Yer new Condo looks down at that Decrepit Trash?? No thanks...😢 Pitiful Planning spoken there. Hideous.
Same at Indian School/Central they PLAN apts and "shipping"?? How Scary. Delay Delay..too many Killings rite there. Homeless laying everywhere? No thanks...people have better Choices. Build National Guard center there next to the Park😅😅
Did they not do their homework? Anyone who shops at Walmart can see all the drug users and the run down motels and hotels off the I-17 is going to bring more problems
Oh, it’s about to get expensive in this area and that’s wild to me
Nobody can afford those Apts or Condos. $2500 per month and up.😂
@@jayjae21jj it’s already pretty expensive to live in that area tbh
I hope they don’t look like the shipping container box apartments they’re putting up everywhere.

Yes Police Dept is stripped and Gutted no help there when those Robbers and Stabbers go at these " shoppers"?? 500 officers short and counting
I really hate that
I don't think the developers understand that area very well.
They will when nobody rents there for Fear of Crime 😂
Yeah, I totally agree! 🤷🏼♀️

Down the street from the Blade too. 😂
Those Crazies will move north to the Action😂
Dine and Shop then get robbed?? Sounds great😂
It's a giant waste of money. Whatever they put in nice will be ghetto quick due to that area.
Agreed. Homeless will dump out of Fight Rail at this End Of The Line😂
Sell Short the Stock in this Company. Loser.
Build Fortified Bunkers only. Most of the 7,000 Homeless live nearby. The most craxy are up there.
So sad, as a youth I spent so much time there with friends and family. I also think it’s such a waste.
Nightmare Dump they should call it. Homeless peeking in yer windows😂
I don't want another new restaurant. Even though it's a new neighborhood.
Nice view of the 7,000 Bums. Like building on top
Of Termite infestation. How disgusting😢

Fentanyl center

Night of the Living Dead rite there. They will trudge North from The Blade to be part of the New Scene😅😅
Next they build fine dining inside the City Dump😂
Rats and Scorpions will walk to your Condo and join you.😅
Good luck....
They have that in Japan. Coffin Size micro rooms for Travelers😂 Micro everything. Globalists vision stuff. 😊
That’s exciting
Stack and Pack it's called. Globalists idea at the Mass Transit. For China Peasants😂
Stack and Pack w homeless shelters nearby?
That housing will be Luxury Housing. So expensive very few can Rent or Buy. Gentrification if they get rid of the Bums?😂
