Hello my lovely!! I saw Michele’s take on this one as well, and of course, like every video you do! I watch first thing. Since I work for Dior…they have gave some information about it. It is more environmentally friendly so, they did have to use other ingredients to compromise for the latter. I personally could not use the last one either. It made my skin itchy, and although it looked beautiful, I thought it was really heavy and I had to mix to shades to get the right one. This does come in 42 shades (84 with matte) so to make it for all skin tones SPF had to be changed as well. Especially for darker tones because SPF changes everything in a foundation when creating it. I would tell everyone if you don’t like this one if you try it. Definitely try or get a sample of the Dior Capture Totale Serum Foundation. It is gorgeous!! They just reformulated it as well. Only thing is the shade range and all the colors are neutral just like the Natural online. But it’s fabulous and Glowy and looks good on everyone I’ve used it on. Your review is so good!! About an hour later I'd be like oh my God I'm itchy. When wash my face off came back into the room and my husband's like where'd your face go? He's playing a joke on me. In my older age. I'm 44. I prefer a very light foundation. I would rather allow my skin to look like skin. Than to cover everything up. Shocking it's taken 30 years to get to that. Hahaha 🤣 😂 🧐
When everything was alright, it was a time everybody enjoying 2019 version of Dior forever and suddenly the 2022 had to become a villain. Why I can’t I skip from 2020 onwards? The foundation was perfect, I loved the forever matte version so so much that it was my daily foundation. But the newer one is…… Oh God. I hate to say but I like to go back 2019 version. Now I’m all starting to find a new daily routine foundation. Thanks to Dior for pushing me for hunting a new makeup. PS- I still love airflash and I hope they don’t mess up with the formula or else I’ll divorce Dior forever 😂
I recently went to the Dior counter and they gave me a very generous amount of the new version. today I was at a luncheon with several women and gave me one compliment after another on how this foundation looked one me. They said it was very blurring on my pores and they loved the subtle glow. I applied this foundation at 9:30 am and it is now 8:30 pm. I t looks just as great 11 hours later as it did earlier. I am 75 yrs. of age. They thought I looked to be in my late 50's. Loving this : )
I never tried the original version but I absolutely LOVE the new one! I can’t stop looking at my face when I’m wearing it. I never feel any tightness but I’m oily and this is dewy on me. I love it!
Glad I seen this thanks for review! Other influencers feel same on this ! I am going to try the new tarte tint and see how that is and save some money!
Like Gabe Luvs Makeup said I also think their best foundation is the reformulated Capture Totale Serum Foundation. Its the only foundation I get compliments on every time I wear it. It perfects my mature very dry skin without feeling heavy. Usually I hate reformulated products but this is the one I can actually say has improved.
Michele Wang said the same about the reformulated version...i dont know if i care about the skincare in my foundation after i do my morning routine&sunscreen, i like it to be lightweight and longlasting but its me 🤷♀️ and im oily so this could be for me with just a bit of radiance but for this i could pick the forever one...❤

Thank you for this in-depth review, as always. Your foundation reviews are the absolute best and my favorite to watch! Maybe my eyeballs are broken, but I thought the new version looked really pretty and more smoothing. I always get so excited by a Dior foundation release, but then really let down by the tones of the foundations. I'm on the lighter end of a light-medium skin tone and even the shade 1 is so dark and orangey. I was swatching them in Sephora and they looked gross. So disappointing :(
I am on a low buy right now and I don’t need a new foundation just yet either but…I might put this one on my list of maybe try. I’m an oily skin type so this might be a nice way to get a little glow but not excessive for me. Thank you.

I used to have flaky skin but now it seems like I get pretty oily on my T Zone throughout the day. I think I will try the mate version instead of the Luminous. I hope I love it as much as the original version.

Now I'm not so sure anymore if I should get it, because I have really dry skin and I need my foundation to be really nourishing. Sad that they reformulated it.

I have started using & it’s becoming my holy grail from ALL my primers I have tested the Jacklyn Cosmetics Hydrating Primer Oil I have Excema prone skin so I know dry. I will try that primer oil on it’s been beautiful for my skin type & see the results. If that oil I trust doesn’t make it work then its just not dry skin friendly. I will be able to tell immediately. i’ve never owned any of dior’s products, but i’ve always wanted to try their base products because i’ve heard such amazing things about them. i could definitely see the differences in the two and i also saw both michelle and morgan say the exact same thing about this new formula. i rather not have any spf in my foundation because i always wear my own spf every day. i always love and appreciate your reviews so much. you’re absolutely beautiful. what do you have on your eyes??? they have such a beautiful twinkle to them. i love you!!! 💗💗💗

Yeah well guess I won't get to try it lol I was going to buy it over Christmas time but it was sold out on Sephora so I didn't and now I know why and can't use a drying foundation.. sucks but oh well I'll find another dior foundation to try out sometime.. it's cold where I am too we haven't got snow yet we'll none that stuck.. but it was 13° this morning lol we haven't had a bad winter in 2 years so I'm looking for some cold snowy weather this year. I dont want 5 feet. But we got under an inch and I admit I miss the snow... I grew up in north ohio (lake effect snow) so I use to get tons but now I live in TN and we get maybe a few inches a year. After living here near 20 years I really miss snow.

Great review. I adored Dior Nude foundation and they discontinued it. Since then I haven't found any foundation which would substitute it in 100%. Did you happen to use Dior Nude?

They ought to have marketed this as a brand new foundation. Linking it to the Skin Glow was/is a big mistake. That bit aside, I wasn't ever going to buy ANOTHER Skin Glow as I'm not a fan of the original - but it's a great mixer 😉 Fantastic review Tara, your transparency on day 2 was over and above what you had to do, imo. I’ve never had any luck with ANY Dior foundation. They make my skin kinda angry lol😂I definitely prefer Chanel and Armani foundation formulations. Speaking of which the new No 1 looks very enticing😍I don’t need any more foundations till 2030 but damn that one looks really tempting🤩

Seems like it's officially launching on the 6th (based on her website, but she what's going on, it's supposed to launch today🤷♀️). I ordered it from SpaceNk and i paid for the 2 day US shipping, so on the SpaceNK website it says it will be here tomorrow, but on the DHL website it says the 12th. So I'm not sure what's happening. I'll know more tomorrow Lol. But yes I'm reviewing it and VERY excited😁👏
They had to reformulate because the EU revamped their ingredient rules and some of the chemicals are now banned. I am so glad I got a sample of the bee one because I have dry skin and the new formula made my skin look horribly dry and crepey!
i’ve never tried Dior foundation. if it dries powdery though i probably wouldn’t like it. You are the 2nd YTber that doesn’t love the new version. They both look nice on your skin though.
I just got this…was so excited and sure I was going to love it. I don’t. Not giving up yet, maybe I need to try it with a different sunscreen, different moisturizer…it’s not that I hate it, I’m just not as wowed as I thought I’d be, and I really wanted to be wowed.
Haha, yes. I know exactly how you feel. You do have to work with it, and with this one, I have noticed that less is more. If I apply too much, it wears too heavy and doesn't look that smooth. But it's definitely worth trying to make it work👍🩷 Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it ❤️

The Dior forever OG was my Holy grail before they reformulated and created matte and glowy and then reformulated again. Wish they would have just well enough alone.

I'd love to know this too. I mix my Nude with the Matte for a perfect finish. I wonder if Dior was using the Nude as a tester for this new formula. Are they similar? I have combo/dry skin (especially when I'm using Retin A). That is why I love mixing the two formulas. I love the Matte in the warmer months. 😍 Hoping the new one is similar to the Nude but with more coverage.
I bought the original matte and glow dior forever foundations .I wanted to love them, but they both oxidise on me and go a really orangey shade unfortunately.This brand is too expensive to keep trying new versions so I will have to pass.
I love how Dior glow foundation looks on my face. I just dislike the amount of fragrance and alcohol this "new version" has. For those reasons, I am going to pass 😢
It is beautiful huh. I just switch it and love it. So, it is a Theme wallpaper I paid $1.99 for in my Wall paper settings on my phone. I have a android. But the wallpaper is called gray_rosegold. I hope that helps or you can find something similar in your phone settings😁😁😁
I can't believe how expensive Coco Chanel's little sovarsity Crystal earrings are. These are a stud. Are they even made out of real gold I don't think so. It's just plated. Like I can't believe that. Do I spend $800 on CC earrings. Half of that, can buy me water filters for 5 years. And those water filters will last me at least 20 years. Yeah I'm not going to get those earrings
The new formula has a much shorter shelf life than the previous formula. I have both and the new formula has split and separated; no amount of bottle shaking to recombines the product. The dispensed product is split. I do not care for it. The original version has an expiration in 2021 and is fully intact (no split) while new version has decayed well ahead of its 2023 expiration. Boo.

Clean makeup is a gimmick so when they said it was reformulated to make it “cleaner” I knew it meant worse

Great review. I adored Dior Nude foundation and they discontinued it. Since then I haven't found any foundation which would substitute it in 100%. Did you happen to use Dior Nude?
What brand is that huge red sponge you are using?
Do you like the fenty blurring better? Is the dior a everyday foundation ?

They ought to have marketed this as a brand new foundation. Linking it to the Skin Glow was/is a big mistake.
That bit aside, I wasn't ever going to buy ANOTHER Skin Glow as I'm not a fan of the original - but it's a great mixer 😉

I have read in reviews don't use a primer let the good ingredients penatrate on the skin & it wears like a dream♥️
Without a primer I find this foundation really emphasizes pores & texture.
I’ve never had any luck with ANY Dior foundation. They make my skin kinda angry lol😂I definitely prefer Chanel and Armani foundation formulations. Speaking of which the new No 1 looks very enticing😍I don’t need any more foundations till 2030 but damn that one looks really tempting🤩
The shade 4wo can be used during your winter tone? I have the exact medium tone of yours but it s look dark

Seems like it's officially launching on the 6th (based on her website, but she what's going on, it's supposed to launch today🤷♀️). I ordered it from SpaceNk and i paid for the 2 day US shipping, so on the SpaceNK website it says it will be here tomorrow, but on the DHL website it says the 12th. So I'm not sure what's happening. I'll know more tomorrow Lol. But yes I'm reviewing it and VERY excited😁👏
They had to reformulate because the EU revamped their ingredient rules and some of the chemicals are now banned. I am so glad I got a sample of the bee one because I have dry skin and the new formula made my skin look horribly dry and crepey!

i’ve never tried Dior foundation. if it dries powdery though i probably wouldn’t like it. You are the 2nd YTber that doesn’t love the new version. They both look nice on your skin though.
I just got this…was so excited and sure I was going to love it. I don’t. Not giving up yet, maybe I need to try it with a different sunscreen, different moisturizer…it’s not that I hate it, I’m just not as wowed as I thought I’d be, and I really wanted to be wowed.
Haha, yes. I know exactly how you feel. You do have to work with it, and with this one, I have noticed that less is more. If I apply too much, it wears too heavy and doesn't look that smooth. But it's definitely worth trying to make it work👍🩷 Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it ❤️

The Dior forever OG was my Holy grail before they reformulated and created matte and glowy and then reformulated again. Wish they would have just well enough alone.

How does it compare with the Dior Natural Nude?
I'd love to know this too. I mix my Nude with the Matte for a perfect finish. I wonder if Dior was using the Nude as a tester for this new formula. Are they similar? I have combo/dry skin (especially when I'm using Retin A). That is why I love mixing the two formulas. I love the Matte in the warmer months. 😍 Hoping the new one is similar to the Nude but with more coverage.

I bought the original matte and glow dior forever foundations .I wanted to love them, but they both oxidise on me and go a really orangey shade unfortunately.This brand is too expensive to keep trying new versions so I will have to pass.
I’m hesitating on getting this ! … too many reviews show that this make up is oxidizing to a darker color!… so it’s a pass for me!

It is beautiful huh. I just switch it and love it. So, it is a Theme wallpaper I paid $1.99 for in my Wall paper settings on my phone. I have a android. But the wallpaper is called gray_rosegold. I hope that helps or you can find something similar in your phone settings😁😁😁

I can't believe how expensive Coco Chanel's little sovarsity Crystal earrings are. These are a stud. Are they even made out of real gold I don't think so. It's just plated. Like I can't believe that. Do I spend $800 on CC earrings. Half of that, can buy me water filters for 5 years. And those water filters will last me at least 20 years. Yeah I'm not going to get those earrings

The new formula has a much shorter shelf life than the previous formula. I have both and the new formula has split and separated; no amount of bottle shaking to recombines the product. The dispensed product is split. I do not care for it.
The original version has an expiration in 2021 and is fully intact (no split) while new version has decayed well ahead of its 2023 expiration. Boo.
