I love watching the bushcraft videos and normally it's a man who sometimes brings his girlfriend who doesn't really do anything, she's just like.. There... So it's refreshing acutally seeing a woman doing this now and for the people saying she's a sissy and all that.. come on, she even says herself she has a long way with this, but we all started somewhere.. At least she's trying and not like us fat f*** just sitting at home and writing comments ;) Good on you Alexis!

Really like your videos, mostly because they're a bit more ' honest' and realistic than many other outdoors videos - I like being a part of that learning process, and I think watching you builds more realistic expectations to what it is to be outdoors and do bushcraft stuff!

It's your transparency and your sold-out love for bushcraft that makes these videos so enjoyable to watch. There is an inner wilderness knowledge that has become so much a part of you that you handle being in the woods in a way that says you're home. After years of hiking, I'm only just beginning to find that level of comfort. And bushcrafting skills? Let's just say I have a pack heavy with all I need to get along and I hope after watching videos like yours I'll know what to do if real trouble ever comes. But - what I do know is that I have a comfort for watching my story unfold within me when I'm out on the trails. That is what I see in you - a journey unfolding, a story being told - and for some reason, it makes me feel a little more hopeful and stirs up my spirit for the next time I can get a few days in the woods alone. You appreciate the little things like the satisfaction of cooking over coals, lashing together a campsite chair, bringing a fire to life, and discovering who you can be when you step out into the wilderness. Your videos have a unique quality to them and i know people notice it, even on an unconscious level. Great job as always. Sorry for the long rant. Peace!

From someone who grew up in the woods. Love your video. Really touches my heart. Your desire to not even fathom “ I can’t “. My favorite days are fishing having a fish fry with everything edible from where we camp. Built my own log home from scratch and the log furniture in it. In the middle of the bush. I am close to heaven.

When my wife and I were "courting" we went camping together. We had a great time and the thing I remember most is the first morning when I woke up and smelled coffee brewing over the fire. I knew at that moment (actually I already knew) that I had a GOOD woman !
    Still do.

    Alexis,
Liked and subscribed. It's going to be fun watching you as you progress with your bushcraft skills and adventures. It's fun and relaxing just to get away and be outdoors doing what you like. The solitude means you enjoy your own company. That's a good thing. I introduced my two girls at a young age to camping and self-reliance. They're grown ladies now and they go hiking and camping in places I wouldn't even go by myself. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm an old man now. So, Don't Blink, life goes faster than you think.
Safe adventures to you young lady.

Thanks for making the video. Add one item to your backpack: a ziplock bag with a few dryer sheets in it. One dryer sheet per person per a 24 hour period. Wipe exposed skin occasionally for insect repellent. Works for no-see-ums on up to bigger bugs. I noticed you had a bunch of itches you were plaged with. The dryer sheets will bring that to a minimum. Again, thank you for your videos!

I've been bushcrafting for literally 20 years now (started at 11 in cadets with outdoor adventure training or oat lol) done many different types from going with a pocket knife and the clothes on my back to multi week Algonquin park canoe trips. Keep doing what you're doing, you're doing amazing :) I have preference on some things, such as I don't regularly carry a grill or cookstove as well, so it's good to see you just doing what you enjoy.

    Hello~
    I joined.
    I'm a Korean.
    Where are you from? Canadian?
There are many people to enjoy the camping in Korea.
A part of them take TH-cam.
But almost of them prefer to the easy camp.
They load up various camping equipment on their car.
They drive the car into the camping ground.
And they eat the meats and beers.
    And they sleep.
Next morning they withdraw their equipment and camp.
    Their story end.
The Korean camping story has no sweat, no effort and no problem solution.
The Korean camper don't know bushcraft.
So your bushcraft is so impressive.
    Good luck!!!!!!

Military mess kit & canteen are useful:
    Clean food & water.
Small entrenching tool, kabar knife, & hatchet are needed.
But fire starter is essential & backup.
Poncho with liner, & hiking boots are for comfort in summer.
Heavy jacket with hood is for nights.
Light weight tent, back pack, sleeping bag, hammock,
fishing rod, lamp, are helpful. Gas stove (?)
    (optional).
    (Forget anything?)
    Now, where to go.
Head out on the hwy, Lookin' for adventure?
PS Add Scotch Eyed Auger(0.5" by 4" ).

Sure your lashing could use improvement but like you said, it's a journey. Not a race.
When knocking of these side branches you could first try using the blunt back of that Estwing and only use the sharp edge for the ones that don't come of to save your edge.
Be careful with rocks that have moss on them because they often contain moist. Rocks that have moist in them can explode with higher temperatures.
But the outcome of the chair looked great, food looked good and the fire looked good. Happy to see you only made a small cooking fire because that was all you needed.
Glad you took time out of your day to make this relaxing video.

That nice flat rock would have made a perfect fry pan, get it real hot with coals, sweep the coals clean off the rock and use the residual heat to fry your steak. Works well for crunchy creepy crawlies too.

Well done. Keeping it simple, being resourceful and useing common sense. There's always more than one way to skin a cat as they say. Keep it up. Bush skills and knowledge come in handy everyday. Cheers from OZ🍻

Man congrats to the lucky man who you meet someday. :) Love your videos and it is awesome to see a girl who isn't afraid to take initiative to be alone in the outdoors. I gotta say......damn.
Being alone with your thoughts in the wilderness is very well needed. Some people just don't understand the connection. Love what you do!

I've said it before you are one of the few Bushcrafters with any sense. You usually make some sort of chair! I too enjoy sitting.

when she crushed that beer can with her boot heel, I instinctively rose up out of my chair, made my way to the kitchen and begun making a sandwhich, but I wasn't even hungry!
