Thank you John. You are the first person to ever call me rich. Maybe someday I'll make the move.
Your welcome my rich friend. Hope to see you over here.
For the most part, our happiness is tied to our faith in God. Almost all sorts of natural calamities visit us often and in the face of those, no amount of money can save you, only God.
Thank you for sharing
Lol and that's why philos are very poor. You guys are held back by your mythological beliefs in your skydaddy 😂😅😅
Which god? Man has invented so many gods.
John, you have a trusted station without all the dram! Thanks.
Thank you very much!
Very informative. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Great information!
Glad it was helpful!
would have been nice to see the population percentages of each economic class, but thanks for sharing.
In USA they said I am poor because earn $5000/mo. In the Phillippines they said I am rich because I have $5000/mo
Pretty much
Is that income earned inside the Philippines not abroad? If I am based abroad my salary bracket is rich but if I work in the Philippines I'll be in low income to middle class
This might be true according to statistics but for locals if you live in a condo or own a private car you are considered rich
Very good information. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
@@WatchCaliforniaExpat I like the way you broke down the people's income level in the Philippines, to give everyone an idea where they rank in the socio-economic structure of the country. No one, foreigners nor locals, has ever explained it that way before and it's quite refreshing and enlightening to know it.
@@bentleymalshi7953 That means a lot to me. Thank you for your support.
Just read from another vlogger that the average net income of an expat is $46k. Thats huge!!
I really thought that having less than 150k income is middle class and not upper middle.
According to your calculations, I am pretty rich! My wife and I own around USD1M in property, both commercial and residential. We don't have a mortgage on any of the properties, because we own them outright. We have an income of around PP100,000 pcm. My advice? Come here with cash and with someone you trust.
Your a rich kid in the Philippines for sure :)
@@WatchCaliforniaExpat I'm not a 'rich kid' because I started with nothing and through hard work I earned my cash, so maybe don't attempt to disparage what I have achieved by using the disrespectful moniker "rich kid'.
First time I ever been called rich.
PH is heaven on earth for rich Filipinos only & not for foreigners to settle invest & retire foreigners in PH can't own properties full business ownership have very limited rights & many are deported foreigners can be naturalized PH citizens if born & raised in PH like the prominent Spanish Ayala family which is not your case John
The top Ayalas are also US citizens! Go check it out!
nice video but is this income based on gross or net pay from work?
Thanks Peter. Its gross household income
@@WatchCaliforniaExpat Thank you. and sorry I may have missed it but is it based on 4-5 in the house for the amount?
I’d rather be middle class in the USA, than rich in third world countries….
Are these numbers pre-Tax or post-Tax please?
Pre-tax
I'm sure Filipinos would consider anyone making over P100k a month rich.
I'm sure most would
100%
I'm confused. I thought middle class by definition would be the median and would always consist the majority of the population.
Not necessarily. A country can have a large poor population and small middle and rich classes. Or small poor class, small middle class and large rich population. Or any combination thereof.
What happened to Marco?
He's doing well. Traveling at the moment
I think I’m very rich because I have my health.
I understand
❤❤❤😊😊
We Filipinos were ediots we're one day millionaires😂haha!
Hehe
I hear the poor thing all the time here and I see it too. But the mall will be 1/2 full mid day mid week. By mid day all the fast food places will have waiting lines to order so they’re not just walking around. Weekends malls are just crazy busy. Where do they get the money to do this? If you stand on a busy street and count the number of 2 million + php vehicles that pass by in 15min you will be amazed. It just doesn’t add up?
Fastfood and food court inside mall are cheaper than standard restaurant. Majority Filipino oeople can really afford even low income status. You can see malls are healthy due to filipino people patronage and become a culture . Mall is a really big thing in the phils.treat family members and even friends.
@@dextershaman7154yes and it’s because filipinos hate getting dark under the sun. Malls are the place to be to cool off and socialize.
They get it from YouTubing, tiktok and relatives living abroad. 😂
Poor here is if you dont have your own house and a car 😂
Philippine standards of living has been low for so long that the locals are used to their low standards of life. In reality, they can achieve and have more but the lack of discipline, unity, education, and opportunities….along with overpopulation issue and lack of family control, this country will lag behind all ASEAN nations. Vietnam is already ahead…..case closed!
1. No case is ever "closed".
2. It's not "ASEAN". It's "Asian".
You call yourself a Christian but lack the faith of the only majority Christian nation of all of Asia? Hmmm...
